Hello House,

SO I applied for an administrative review last week since the error was from the ECO. I am glad to say my refusal decision has been overturned. I have been asked to repay IHS surcharge and take my passport to Ikeja VAC for a vignette stamp.
My school has given me a till next friday to enrol. I am just wondering if there is any way I can fasttrack the stamping at Ikeja VAC?
Does anyone know if Ikeja VAC opens tomorrow (Saturday) for cases like mine?

Any advice will be appreciated, Thanks

Hello brilliant nairalander, posted this in another thread;
my enquiry is I have the option of studying for my ACCA professionals in either of the following UK cities Bolton,Liverpool, Manchester and London. or Dublin Ireland.
I want to know which is better in terms of affordability and also ease of getting a job because I will be permitted to work a couple hrs per week.

Everything in London will be much more expensive, accommodation, transport and living.

And lo and behold, i got up thinking of how the interview will look like and to be honest i was pretty tensed. Thinking of how i will twist my lips and unleash some queen's English. Omor no be small tension grab me like girl wey dey grab shawama. At about 9 am, i got a call from a lady at ukeas informing me that i will need to photocopy my documents and have a passport too but on a second though i contacted Mcstar and she told me she didnt do all that. Well i was like to be on the safe side let me just do photocopies.
Left the house around to 10 to make photocopies but got to some business centres and their machines were all bad...omor na that time i know say the devil wey dey watch me dey watch with better HD and na 3D him dey use sef grin grin. Past ten i still dey waka round dey find where to photocopy and around 10:45am i got a place and make the photocopies of which at the end of the day i didnt submit.
Got a cab to take me to the TLS Abuja and at that point i know the devil had remixed his plan for me that day. I was like e no go happen for you. This cab guy didnt even know where i was going...he was busy taking me round and round as if i came for a tour round Abuja. I kept on telling this young man that i have an interview by 11.30 and need to be there by 11.15. I kept losing patience cos it was beginning to piss me off. by 11:12 i was able to locate the building from afar and thats how we were able to locate the venue. Was supposed to give the guy 300naira but i didnt know when i jumped out of the cab and gave him 200naira and ran straight to the gate.. A couple of guys ran to me all in the name of making photocopies, what was in my mind at that moment was just crazy.
Straight to the interview.. well i checked in then got to the reception and checked in my application form and passport...got all my documents in a bag provided by the staff there. Saw some guys forming janded...some chics forming janded and forming over-Behind.. I was like who out of all these people is a nairalander. i was as mute as a mice. Had my biometrics then went to the waiting room for my interview.
When it got to my turn, i walked majestically like a guy who is walking down the aisle...no be small aisle... tongue tongue..... I walked into the room and sat down, picked up the headset and started the interview with a white guy...probably via skype. I expected the normal though.
- My name and date of birth
- What course i did in my undergraduate
- Why the UK
- Why Coventry
- Did u send in an IELTS or TOEFL (Well i told him i sent in my WAEC)
- and of what relevance the course will be to me.
At the end we exchanged pleasantries, and na so i give the guy better thumbs up unto niggar na...lololzzzzz... and indeed he smiled.

Hopefully am expecting a positive decision Godwilling and surely my transcript will come up once again.

Thanks guys, justwise (my boss wey don dey beef me for months now...I still love u shaa)...olowoB...this dude idi toomuch...Mcstar...inshort na better hussy wey God go dash u soon..will catch u with u soon...MrsDaniels...Inshort na MrsFizzile u supoz dey answer sef.. u toomuch.. And to all those that chipped in one advice or the other, it shall surely end well. Am positive.

Please guys, I want to ask a question, it was stated on my CAS that my English has been accessed by HEI, and SELT is not required. Do I still need to give IELTS for my VISA application?

Please I need an urgent answer on this question.

I got a funding for my PhD in UK, but after pay my fees, I will be left with about £9,500 annual maintenance fee (I am studying outside London). The visa requirements started that I needed to show 9 months maintenance fee which sum up to £9,135. My concern is that, £9,500 is all I have for a year and it will be stated on my funding Confirmation letter, can I go ahead and make my VISA application?

Your response is highly needed.

That is all you are expected to show for now but during your visa extension you will be expected to show that you have that amount for your maintenance for that year.

You only need what is written on your CAS to be submitted for visa application. If IELTS is not written on it, then no need.

Thank you guys for the advice, especially OlowoB.

I have decided to consider my January entry offer from Nottingham Trent. I believe this will give me enough time to prepare and save myself of unnecessary pressure.

As for those that have travelled or are travelling soon, may God be with you. We will soon meet over there. As for those that do not have the means, remain steadfast and fervent. If you believe there is a God, continue praying.

God bless us all.

Have you contacted your school international department? What did they say?
How many weeks late are you?

I doubt if you can get this week. The only tip I have is to ask Uni to chase UKVI (hopefully you can get next week) and also ask them to extend your late arrival.

Thx SpikeC
5weeks man
They did a mistake on my application then I request a review they gave me visa but too late.
The school said it will unfair for me to come with such a delay so they propose to refund or report the inscription.
What should I do about the visa?like contacting UKVI to let them know I am no more travelling?

Thx

That's very bad.
That's like 4 teaching weeks lost. I doubt any university would allow you in.
They probably already contacted UKVI as it is required. You'll either get a refund or defer your admission to the next intake.
Also, you might have to apply for another visa. You'll decide on applying in the next intake or use this same visa and just extend when the time comes

Did you say BVN card? What is a BVN card?

Plus, which of the airports did you get the Travelex-issued PTA from? Abuja? Lagos? Enugu? Kano? And when did you get that please?
