I've said it before and I'll say it again. Apart from corruption, black people love being oppressed. I'm starting to think its in our DNA. For example, some black slaves would be given the chance to cut their Master's beard back then. And there was a time that there were way more slaves than Masters in a region that they had to start asking for male slaves to be killed. Please, what stopped the black slaves from slitting their Master's throat with the razor they were using to shave? And staging successful coup d'Etat's until they were finally allowed to go? Black people were introduced with Christianity to keep them in line. The same white people spread that religion to Africa. Think, people think! When your religion is giving you guidelines on how to treat slaves, and then promising you goodies in some afterlife, don't you think that's a perfect too to subdue the slaves? Religion is powerful, it made Egyptians erect the Pyramids. When black people are suffering, instead of revolting, they 'live with it'. Why? Black people need three things in life: Food, Sex, Entertainment . .. Haven't you noticed? We cook the best food! Black people give the BEST entertainment? Hip hop, Rnb, Even the greatest musician of all time is a black man! Michael Jackson! But when it comes to applying our brain to solve problems then we become dumb. Remember the 'Arab Spring'? When countries were revolting against their corrupt governments? I thought it would spread to black Africa. Haha. It STOPPED at Tunisia and Libya. We blacks just couldn't do it. We don't have the courage to TAKE BACK WHAT IS OURS

Democracy is not suitable for Africa. It has made things worse, much worse.

There are many countries doing very great without democracy. Why must we practice what is alien to us? See what the most expensive form of government has done to our dear nation! Corruption, division, hatred, bigotry, deceit, killing and maiming all because of political positions.

Na God go punish the colonial masters. Dem for leave us to our varous traditional monarchical systems. We will have found our ways to greatness naturally.

lets ask kim of north korea and hitler of germany or gadaffi or our darling mugagbe how that went/is going

The Igbo society is a democratic one, and it was thriving before the crazed ova sabi British imperialist chained it to the demonic, parasitic, blood thirsty, mass bombing murderous Hausa-Fulani northerners. Apologies for the outbursts.
No apologies needed.... well said.

Corruption in Nigeria has become epidemic. To fight it, kill off every single Nigeria from age 10 and above, those below ten should pass through high tech systematic brain washing on the essence of doing things right

How can the country change when the leadership of the country revolves around the same principles, laws and selfish people.

If democracy is not suitable for Africa, why were you yorubas fighting against Abacha and IBB?
powerful monarchy was instituted in hausa and yorubaland pre-lugard, was it the same in SE and SS who were largely republicans. Hausa and yorubas should form a country, institute a monarchy and dictatorship feudal system while the SESS continue their pre-lugardian egalitarian republican lifestyle. There will be peace, Africa will be great. To each his own. All Africans are not the same.

Evil Contraption called Nigeria.
Nothing has worked since the British criminals left their business venture meant for exploitation.

Nigeria is a big fraud put together by Britain, managed by Royal Niger criminal enterprise headed by cursed Lugard (Rest in Pieces).

For those shouting - "Nigeria will be great again", Nigeria has never been great and will never be, Nigeria is not a nation of same ideologies or outlook towards nation building, it is an amalgamation of different people who are trying to outdo each other with ethnic chauvinism, tribal war and nepotism.

No politician believes in Nigeria, except the money they make from it, and once they milk the country they invest in countries which they believe in.

The earlier One Nigerianists realize, the better for every one of us.

NIGERIA is a very corrupt contraption put together for fun and exploitation of British men.
God bless you...this is the truth.... E come dy like say we as human beings our brains no dy work.....

What are you talking about Are you not aware that democracy is even native to some Africans like the Igbos?
My friend, I advice you go and read up on the democracy as practiced by the Igbo's before you choke us with your vague generalisation and stale truism.

Is it a democracy where everyone is seen as equal not when a brainless and socially/economically retarded section of the land seek to lord it over the rest.

NOT WHEN a bloated and useless National Assembly exists to make only laws that will benefit themselves and only a section of the country to albeit balance the uneven development of sections the country. Instead of doing the natural thing of allowing each section to develop at it's own pace.

NOT WHEN the executive arm is openly dictatorial in intent and purposes. And seeks to suppress, control and intimidate the Legislature and Judiciary into being mere rubber stamps that only exist to dance to its whims and caprices.

NOT WHEN ........ ( The list is endless)

Democracy as defined by Igbo egalitarian society is definitely NOT the same as practiced in today's Nigeria.

Thank you.

ProfessorPeter:
What is corruption?

In English...Corruption is an acronym of Nigeria.

In Maths...Corruption = Nigeria i.e C=N....i.e Cartoon network land of Africa.

In Physics ...Corruption is directly proportional to Nigeria. Force been equal to MA (mass x accelleration), that means corruption is been driven by the masses with a force F.

Chemistry...Corruption is in the gaseous state of Nigeria. It melted from block form to liquid and now to gas and very mobile in all state of the federation. Diffussion will soon start taking place, and a little oxygen and flame will cause it to explode and everybody will just rest.

Biology....Corruption is the bacteria that ate the intestine linens of Nigeria. If you look at the map closesly, you will see three big lines that ran from North to west and to east, it was eaten by corruption.

I can give you all definitions but for now manage this five credits incase your teacher ask you again what corruption is....thank you.

Monarchial system back then was running on slave economy and invading others. Parts of the country had what was similar to democracy back then. There are no excuses for corruption apart from a poor system of checks and balances.
