Aha!!!! The Sirs Mikron-AIG07 tiki-taka "comments" combo don dey return small small.... Hehehehehehehee.... wink

Lemme help you define a plastic fan... Looolll

A plastic fan is one who watches Nigeria's games but has no interest in Nigerian football and when you try to explain to him that he only watches Nigeria's games because it's international week and his club is on break, he responds by saying, "Look, you don't love or know the national team more than me... After all, we are all Nigerians".... Loooollll grin

Now, lemme drop the hammer-blow I got just yesterday while within the medical campus environment for a medical project I came down to Anambra to supervise before returning to lagos soon.... Chaiiiii... You ready?

This same plastic fan talk say, "Okocha's only medal for Nigeria was Atlanta 1996."

When I told him, "But Okocha won The Afcon at Tunisia 1994 even as a starter", he said "You lie!!!!!! Okocha wasn't at Tunisia 1994"

I laughed so hard and went on to say, "He was even at USA 1994" .... The guy was like, "Which kain lies you dey drop so?"

Chaiiiiiii.... His friend then dropped a clanger saying, "Even if Okocha was at Tunisia 94, Na Oliseh dey bench am.... Coz Oliseh na 10 him be for him time"

I went like, "Chisoosss chrisssttiiiiii!!!!!!!!"

I couldn't take it anymore... And refused to show them evidence from the internet coz it was too embarassing.

These guys were die hard barca fans... Looolllll (Sir Bascovanveli... Loolll..m no be my fault, na so I see am) and were even older than I am... Haba!!!!!

Others showed them evidence via the internet that I was right and they were wrong but I took a different route. I showed them videos of USA 94 and Tunisia 94 just to shut them up for the highest good and show them their "Plasticity" and "shallowness" as fans of Nigerian football.

I carry enough videos and clips of Nigeria's exploits in soccer and many more on my Android and computer system... Loooolllll

They were humbled mehn. Chaiiiii... Next time, real Soccer fans of Nigerian soccer talk ehn... Dem go just "shut up and listen"...

It was comedy yesterday I tell you.... To the extent that guys who enjoyed how the videos evidence silenced the "plastic fans" begged to have some of the videos sent to their gadgets so as to use it against anyone who talk nonsense again.

One of them told me... "Video evidence is more powerful than just reading it on the internet..."

He called me a wicked guy for choosing to embarass the guys who said all those "things" with ACTUAL VIDEO EVIDENCE. Loooolllll

Plastic fans...... Their ignorance is real and embarassing. Hahahahahahahahaa...

The worst part.... They don't even know the top scorer of the just concluded Nigerian league season.... Hahahahahahahaha.... **smiles** *winks*

AIG07:

Don't mind those 'plastic fans' their love for european clubs has blinded them to d extent f thinking that no good thing can come out of Nigeria. We do have few of them that seldomly come here and rants.
But e don tey you comment for here o. I tried reaching u on whatsapp on national day but wasn't tru.
Anyway the 'Land Remains Green' *winks*

Remember when I asked someone on one of the sports threads from many months ago to name at least 10 top Brazillian starlets under the age of 21 and see if they can rival the Nigerian 10 I will list... Did he succeed in doing so?

He even brought in England and we floored him.

So I dare someone to name 15 Quality Brazillian starlets under age 21 who are potential world beaters and under the radar as some of the world's finest youngsters today.

I have my Fifteen from Nigeria ready.

safarigirl:
exactly.

Let's be sincere, if Kelechi was Brazilian, he would be compared to Pele and Maradona, he would dance into Barca first XI....more often than not, these Brazilians aren't as good as many Nigerian stars, but once you're Brazilian, people assume you're a football god or something.

Anyway, being African, you're only higher than the Asians and North Americans on the totem pole, no matter how good you are

Mesut Ozil: Alex Iwobi reminds me of Jay-Jay
Okocha, who I “loved watching”

Mesut Ozil has revealed he “loved
watching” Jay-Jay Okocha – and has now
been impressed by the Nigerian icon’s
nephew, Alex Iwobi.

Okocha enjoyed a stellar 18-year career in
European football, after leaving his homeland in
1990.

He also cemented his status as one of Africa’s
greatest players through an excellent 13-year
stint in the Nigeria set-up.

The attacking midfielder now has the pleasure of
watching a family member in his own position, as
Iwobi has remarkably claimed a place in Arsenal's Starting XI.

Having only made his debut in October 2015, the
Gunners academy graduate has impressed with
his combination of composure and natural talent,
dovetailing well with superstars Ozil and Alexis
Sanchez.

The former has now praised Iwobi by likening him
to Okocha, as well as another football icon of the
1990s, in Edgar Davids.

Ozil told Arsenal Player: "He reminds me of his
uncle, Jay-Jay Okocha. He was a player I loved
watching.

"Alex reminds me of a mixture of him and Edgar
Davids. He’s really strong on the ball, also
defensively, but he’s good in front of goal too.

"He knows exactly what he can do. He isn’t
scared and doesn’t hide on the pitch. He just
wants to have fun playing football and that really
shows on the pitch, and also in training."

Currently on international duty, Iwobi netted for
the Super Eagles on Sunday, in a 2018 World
Cup qualification win over Zambia.

Alex Iwobi has registered three assists in the
Premier League this term, while Mesut Ozil is yet
to lay on a goal for his teammates.

Exactly, down the years there have been shockingly poor Brazilian and Argentine players who found their way in Europe just because of their passport.
At Barcelona, Pep Guardiola bought 2 dross from Brazil for a combined fee of $14m. Talking about Henrique and Kerrison. The Barcelona deal brokers actually paid bribes and took bungs to sign them.
Someone like Obinna Nwobodo has more talent in his left thumb than those two but he will never sign for Barca straight from Rangers.

More often than not, these Brazilians are flash in the pan footballers. They flatter to deceive, but hey, as long as you're from the land of samba, you must be some Pele-Messi-CR7 hybrid or something.

Okay, apart from Neymar, which Brazilian stars have lived up to hype of recent? How many South American stars have even lived up to hype in general? I'm talking since 2010.

They just keep flooding Europe with average at best plauers and move dow. The real footbsllers to sccomodate them.

See now, na Gabriel Jesus dem wan srll to us. Gabriel Jesus will push Kelechi down the pecking order. Why? Because Gabriel Jesus is Brazilian, not even because he has better stats than Kelechi

Look at Kennedy that Chelsea signed, how good is he really? What of Nathan? Are they as good as people think or do they just have it better because of their nationality?

The sad part is, the whole world has bought into this media propaganda and walk around thinking S/America have the best footballing talents in the world..

Gabriel Jesus need to prove that he is good enough on the field. He may be a good player but his profile does not match that of kelechi. If there is anything, kelechi should be his role model.
Chelsea bought Kennedy for millions just like they bought Lucas Piazon who they tagged the new Kaka. Lucas piazon is hardly seeing game time on loan at Fulham.

The Brazilian media and ex pros like PELE has been scamming European clubs with their hype machine in full swing.

Those of you bashing south american players, the problem with African players is attitude. Being a good footballer involves more than talent but hardwork and a good head. Christiano Ronaldo was raw when he joined MU from Sporting. He developed into the CR7 we know today thanks to his hardwork and attitude under SAF.

Africans have a mentality that hinders development. We settle for little and don't have that knack to want to be the best. Once an African player can earn enough to buy a Lamborghini, they stop dreaming, stop seeing the need to develop further. Maybe it's because of poverty in the region, I don't know.

The South Americans have a more positive attitude so big clubs will always fancy them more than Africans because what they look at is not just the talent but the potential to become greater than where talent alone can take u

And who says we don't have African players with the right attitude today?? Can't you look around??

Also, answer these:

How was Robinho's attitude?? How was Romario's attitude?? How was Edmundo's attitude?? How was Ronaldo de lima's attitude?? How was Ronaldinho's attitude?? How is Ganso's attitude?? How's Lucas Piazon's attitude?? How's Gabriel Barbosa's attitude?? Etc

I could go on... I carefully selected each name... And I know why. So answer.

Abeg park well joor.... You generalise saying african players have a problem with attitude and you are yarning another thing.

You use CR7 as an example to back up your point of "south american players have better attitude" as if you didn't wanna use him as South america's "poster boy on attitude" and you dey shift posts.

Look.... Before you drop a comment, get your points well labelled. I asked you some questions... Now deal with those.

I was actually the one and I can name about 9 or 10 right now again. See the thing there is that we are Nigerians, we will know our players better. Go to Brazil and tell them that Nwobodo is a special talent and they will dub you a fool because they haven't seen him play football for a top club, also there are top players who play in their local league that I can name right now but you won't agree because you haven't watched their games, it's just relative bro, but the simple truth is that they have better players, better coaches, better exposure, infact better everything than we do

Douglas Costa is an absolute beast you know that right? Firminho, Coutinho and a host of others. And all of them are agemates, I think they came for the same U20 with Onazi, now compare them with the Nigerian players that we hyped then. What's the name of that our supersub? The one that scored goals as a sub but when he started the final he missed clear chances, can't remember his name, our little Messi, can't remember his name either. Where's Henrique (top scorer and golden ball winner at the Fifa u-20 world cup 2011)??

What has the overhyped Ganso achieved so far??

Where's Lucas Piazon now?? What are his stats??

Where's Mosquito?? Where's Nathan??

Where's Andrea perreira?? Still playing U-23/U-21 games when even Ndidi dey win 2nd best young player award in belgium last season losing to who sef? A belgian, Youri tielemans.

What's Lucas Moura's stats like right now compared to all the hype he received?? He was even termed a national treasure....

I could go on and on....

And oohhh... Our super sub's name at Nigeria 2009... He's Shehu Sani Emmnanuel. Sh*t happens... Like Chrisantus.

But I put it to you that from 2013, It's Nigerian football that has been bloomimg strong from the cadet and youth levels and they are among the world's finest youngsters today with the potential of being SUPER FULL-FLEDGED WORLD CLASS BIG GUNS.

And by 2013, I refer to both Nacho's class of 2013 and those who didn't even get to feature..... Nigeria witnessed a boom of quality and they are making waves and growing stronger than their peers from other countries today.

But from that crop a good number have also progressed fairly well. The following players were also from that crop of 2009 U17 to 2011 & 2013 U20: Ogenyi Onazi, Ahmed Musa, Kenneth Omeruo, Moses Simon, Wilfred Ndidi, Michael Olaitan, Abdul Ajagun, Kingsley Madu, Shehu Abdulahi, Aminu Umar, Emem Uduak,,Usman Mohammed, Uche Agbo, Olanrewaju Kayode. Remember also Ramon Azeez and Uche Nwofor. This crop so far has progressed better than most of their predecessors. They represent a good number in the Super Eagles. They are called "The Obu boys".

We are still observing closely the progression of the 2013 U17 to 2015 U20.

Don't see it as if I don't want Nigerians to progress. They are progressing for sure but we noticed their progress because we are Nigerians and we are following them closely, they play for low level teams mostly, so also brazilians can argue that their players are progressing too so just because a few who were hyped failed to deliver does not mean that others aren't delivering too.

Louis Van Gaal also said the same thing. Yaya Toure as well. I'd say 60 - 70 percent.

Nigeria witnessed a boom of quality and they are making waves and growing stronger than their peers from other countries today.

they are making waves where?! In the norwegian leagues? In the turkish leagues? In the segunda division? In the belgian leagues? Atleast perreira is at Manu, he plays a game every now and then, he isn't any different from Mikel who is also a bench warmer at Chelsea so what's your point? Lucas Moura is also at PSG, his game time isn't bad at all, he has played more games in the last 2 seasons than Iheanacho and Iwobi and Yahaya combined. Do you expect him to score so many goals? He is a winger incase you don't know and he played in thesame team with Ibrahimovic, and you know they have to feed him goals to keep his massive ego intact. His assist ratio is not bad at all.

Our best players in top teams are either bench warmers (Iheanacho and Mikel) or playing in an underachieving team(Iwobi, no disrespect to Arsenal though), so what point are you trying to make there?

Imagine Bellerin playing for spain under 21 while we are struggling for right backs.

We are not struggling for right backs because we have enough but the coaches are not doing the needful.

Maybe we should investigate his lineage whether he has any Nigerian grand father or great grand father. So we can lure him over. grin

Forgiveness, na ur area of specialty be this o. This one better pass Aso Rock, Majek Fashek, Moses Odubanjo, Tyron Ebue*c*hi and *Brain* Idowu join together o grin

How em take better pass dem?

Bros, make we leave tory Moses Odubanjo is very good and if Ola Aina agrees to play for Nigeria, we will be having world class rbs.

For now, let us give Tyronne Ebuechi and Brain Idowu the chance.

Bros we don hear you about this "Tyronne Ebuechi and Brain Idowu" talk. After the Algeria game next month we would have numerous FIFA windows for friendlies where we can test a couple of RB options. But for this Algeria game we may still have to fall back on a make shift RB.

I know if i suggest one name now people wey go wan chop me go plenty. What if we invite Efe Ambrose for that RB position? For me he remains our best RB since after Chidi Odiah. He has got the experience for a big game like this. (Just thinking o).
