I know about Gabigol and the likes.... Abeg dem reach 15...??

Can they be mentioned in the same breadth as ours player for player??

Nigeria floors Brazil in quantity of Top quality super talents... Hypes aside.

How do we floor them? Because, our players choose to play in Europe but the Brazilians have most of their youngsters in Brazil. Brazilian league is flooded with youngsters. They have top academies that groom their talents.

They are ahead of us. Then, their players have longevity to develop. Do you see how long Neymar stayed in Brazil? From Santos to the starting eleven of Barcelona. One of the best teams in the World.

And we don't have our own home-based top youngsters huh? Apart from those in Europe?

Taiwo didn't move straight into marseille's first XI huh?

Simple, how many many Brazilians are up for this year's GOLDEN BOY?

Sir TheGoodJoe, oya naa... The "super talented" brazillians have how many in the Golden boy list? I only see Gabigol and his votes? Yuck! So low...

It is no luck. When it comes to marking and stopping capabilities Omeruo is one of the bests we have seen in the green and white jerseys in recent years. Had Balogun been fit Rohr would probably had started Omeruo at RB instead of Ndidi.

The reasons he gave for starting Ndidi are exactly the qualities Omeruo posseses.

So are u saying Ndidi was not a gamble? I rather convert a winger into a fullback than a CB. They both play defence but the pace at that position is much different.

When Taiwo went to Marceille, it was a weak club.

How many Nigerian teenagers will Juventus bid above $20,000,000?

Your talking Taiwo. 2005. In recent years, we are talking Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Douglas Costa, Lucas Moura.

Ohhh... You wanna say because they are in brazil, the golden won't pick them up? But there's Gabigol (Inter) and even Boschilia (monaco) and they got low number of votes.... they didn't even make top 10.

Okay... How many from Nigerian league?? Coz I know Obinna Nwobodo for instamce is more talented than some on that list...

Those voting do not watch the Brazilian league. If Brazil exports their top talents, they will perform.

We have good talents just as Brazil but the Brazilians are better groomed. Apart from Kanu who was up there with the best, we are yet to produce talents like them.

We have Iheanacho, Iwobi, Success, and co. because this time we were able to push them out early to better facilities. Unlike the Brazilian young players who have this in their country and their young players for years have this kind of facilities.

Well.... All that one na "down the years".... Wonder what heights moura has attained sef with all the hype and money spent?? Is moura even a national team player on a regular basis now since he left brazil after "so much grooming"??

Anyway, my own is simple.... Top 15 U-21 brazillian super starlets today can better our own Nigerian top 15 U-21 super talents.... And I will end this discussion for good.

I am just pointing out their history of producing to quality talents. It has been there since the time of Robinho and Gil.

I bet you will write Chidi Nwakali as one of your players. The Brazilian players are in clubs far bigger than the Club Chidi Nwakali was on loan at and the current club

They also don't watch MuAZam and Nwobodo in the Nigerian league. They also don't know of Ifeanyi matthew who just recently moved to One of the Scandinavian leagues starring for lillestrom.

With all the facilities they have in their country and their exports to europe since 2013, abeg who among them stand in Nacho's and Success' class..... Who stands in Ndidi's class?

Brazil began football long before Nigeria became an independent nation and long before our first national side was formed in 1949 or so...

They have the "way back" history and the legend of Pele and Zico... And that has contributed to the "hype" around brazillian starlets even when they are not even half as good as players like Nwobodo. #FACT

THE REASON WHY THEY COST SO MUCH?? Come on Sir Goodjoe, You know.... It all about "the hype" and "reputation" built thanks to Pele's, Garrincha's, Zico's, socrates', Jairzinho's legends....

But since 2013 and now, Brazillian exports do not stand in the same class with Nigerian exports even though they cost more.

Also, when I was younger, I watched Robinho at santos, Rogerio ceni at Sao paulo, and many others... I have a good idea of the brazillian league and their starlets.

And I tell you, We pass them TODAY

It is beyond hype. Emenike was Super Eagles number nine and could not deliver at West Ham. Pato AC Milan and performed before injury worried him.

Brazil has passed that level. Is Firminho hyped? Or David Luiz or Thiago Silva.

Brazil has done it over and over again to talk of hype.

The problem is that a player like Pato can show up at chelsea and flop but yet Chidi is still awaiting his work permit. Remember Yahaya was to go on loan in Spain but no work permit. So they don't get the same chances.

Did Ganso live up to the hype??

Did Robinho fulfill his potentials despite his obvious super talents??

Has Lucas moura done "earth-shaking" stuffs as a footballer??

What about Henrique who was top scorer and Golden ball winner at Colombia 2011?

The hype is still there biko....

EXACTLY.... There's still a big barrier to always surmount for young African super talents.

Sometimes, no matter how talented an African is, he is not seen in the same breadth as someone just because that someone is "Brazillian"

It's the "Name" at work here.

Our African players always have to work harder than most, make the right connections and pray for favor to have that opportunity given to them.

But the Brazillians?? You just have to be called a "dinho"

Robinho won the Copa America, Won The World Cup, Won titles with Real Madrid. Yet you want to tag him as a hype.

Ganso had a bad injury. It was not talent.

Whether they are groomed outside and at home, they all have their beginnings in the Nigerian football environment.

Iheanacho started at Taye Academy and remained there till he got some of the world's attention at UAE 2013.

Also, some of the super talents are in the league even though our league is really behind.

Obinna Nwobodo, Godwin Obaje, Alhassan MuAZam, and even Emeka Nwabulu.

And yes... Our players have to "TRAIN WITH THE BEST TO BECOME THE BEST". And where is the best obtainable?? OUTSIDE THE NIGERIAN FOOTBALL SYSTEM IN THE MAJOR LEAGUES AND SUB-MAJOR LEAGUES AND ACADEMIES OF EUROPE.

But they all have their "genesis" from home right here in our system (except ofcos for the likes of Iwobi and Victor moses and others like them who will eventually play for us)
.

Our players stand a better chance leaving. Brazilians grow comfortably in their country. That is why Real Madrid can pay huge some for Robinho or Manchester City buying Gabriel Jesus.

Which means, Brazil trains a higher pool of quality players.

We were talking of how good Romario's set was with Bebeto and Cafu, then Ronaldo De Lima's set came with Carlos and Rivaldo.

Then Ronaldinho, Edu, Robinho, Adrian and Diego Ribasa came. It continues.

We are far from them. We have talents. We pushed some out but that does not make us behind them.

It's true Robinho won titles and has his share of accolades but fact is he didn't fulfill his "wickedly talented" potentials.... He failed to live up to his name as "the new pele".

That's one thing with most of these brazillians... They taste a little success and they just relax.

Same thing even happened to Ronaldinho.

They could have achieved much much more.

Look at Messi and C.Ronaldo... These are examples of players who are doing everything to fulfill every ounce of their potential which is why they have done things others have never done....

Robinho, Ronaldinho and even Kaka didn't reach such heights.

This is why I'm glad to know some of our youngsters like Nacho has his eyes fixed on players like Messi, Pele and Even Van Basten.
