That was how my friends advised me to melt ori and mix with funbact A and dettol for my baby to use as body cream from 2 weeks old another said I should dilute salon with water and be using it to rub his body just because they want baby's skin to be fair and smooth. I just told them OK.

Me that I am team Vaseline or ori, anyone that is available between the two and up till now, no single trace of rashes on him.

God help us with end time advice all because dem born before person.

The best solution for my baby's constipation is to make a fruit smoothie of cucumber, apple, banana and orange. It works for me very well

If there's any problem with your baby's skin, post here and sabi mamas will do their best to proffer solution.

Please don't rub white capsule or unnecessary medication on your baby's skin. We've even started avoiding medicated soap that is washed off, talk less of home made medicated cream.

Thank you very much for your quick response. God bless you. He is always having rash, he is a month old.

Pls does ur baby av any skin issues... Den wetin u wan use white capsule do biko, if dere is skin issues pls See a paed.. No nid to self medicate abeg.. Wat works for one baby myt not work for Anoda..

Shea butter aka ori is jst fine my opinion for baby skin... I mix coconut oil prepared by me to d cream and we r good to go.. No skin issues.. Better complexion..

Thank you for the response. He has rashes and always sweats. He is just a month old. Can I miss coconut oil with Johnsons lotion. I will appreciate it if you teach me how to make coconut oil

Let me see if I can help here I am an first time dad! That comes here to peep and spy for info cheesy I've learnt a lot.

Ok how many MLS of the nan1do you make for her?
How frequent do you feed her? ( Maybe she is still hungry)
Excessive crying could also be a sign of colic.

What was her birth weight? Is the 3.2kg an increase or decrease or standstill?

My solution feed her 90-120 Mls of formula every 2 hours as she's exclusively formula fed right?

Burp her well during and after each feed.

Do tummy time by placing her on her tummy but keep an eye always.

Bicycle her legs with her laying on her back.

Massage with warm water.

"Sabi" mamas will come and concur or make corrections! Plus add to the above."

i would advice you to avoid anything 'oyinbo' since he's having rashes. I can testify for palm kernel oil. Most mommies here will testify for pure ori. Coconut oil is also super. Please go natural for now. Some mommies even use only water to wash their babies, to avoid stories that touch.

summary of what i'm saying is stop using Johnson's lotion lol.

as for the sweat, coconut oil has a cooling effect, so that should help.

sorry i can't help with the coconut oil, i'm very lucky my mom makes for me.

Please did you mix the Shea butter/perm kernel oil together till you got a smooth paste, or is it separately you use it?

Please can you upload a picture of what the cream looks like?

Also, I was told at the hospital not to use soap and powder on baby till after 6 months. Is this normal?

My LO has rashes when he was three weeks old though he has been using coconut oil since birth. I took him to a paed she prescribed skineal and vitamin c and stop usage after five days. Thruth be told I didn't use the skineal. so I stopped el rubbing anything on his skin. after some days all the rashes cleared off. Fast forward to the day before yesterday I started using the coconut oil back and the rashes has started appearing again. Any home remedy for that?

secondly he has blocked nose and he couldn't suck properly. He would suck for seconds and pull his mouth away. Is the vitamin c OK for him PR istl there any home remedy for that?
He is two months old

Sterilise using Milton tablets, a steam sterilizer, or boil in a pot for five minutes.

Once food if he hasn't finished it one hour after he started.

Milk stays one week in the fridge, 4 hours outside fridge. Because of our hot weather and nepa I do 3 days for fridge, 2 hours outside fridge.
pls in a situation where by I cant freeze it how do I go abt it cos am into teaching job, if I express around 6am, hw many hrs can d milk stay b4 I discard it, and if he cud nt a bottle can he drink it in d next feed

It's d sweat dts causing d heat rash I think.... Or maybe d lotion sef. I don't know bout mixing coconut oil with d Johnson lotion oh.. Coconut oil is so easy to make

Blend coconut, extract d coconut milk, pour into an air tight container, allow to sit for 24hhrz, u can refrigerate it to hasten d process... U will notice dt d water separates and d milk solidify on top, scoop out d solidified milk and place on saucepan on low heat...stir gradually as it dries, D oil will float ontop....
I hope u understand, u can Google tho, u wee see diff methods and understand better

I think ur baby skin reacts to d coconut oil hence d heat rash, I think u should stop using it.... Or maybe d coconut oil isn't original...
Keep taking vitamin c for d blocked nose.... Or u can do steam inhalation, it works too... Pele, it's jst for days, baby will b ok

Bia mamas, is today not thread babies again? sad. I came to see yummy cuties oooo.

Meanwhile, today was our 4 months immunization. I am so so thankful to God that my babies are super healthy and adding weight well.

As we are talking about cream things, let me ask. I have been using only chicco massage oil on my babies body (excluding the face) and sometimes coconut oil when I make, but I noticed my baby's face is lighter than their body despite the fact I don't rub cream on face. Is it normal? ??

my babies too react to coconut oil. Kernel oil is good on them. My dislike for it is that it stains their towel, white singlets and shirts.
