i stands to be corrected on this question :what is Adamawa state producing to earn more than Abia state?
I still feel that there is fowl play in the allocation of resources in Nigeria.
Someone plz put me through on the parameters used in determining what each state is entitled to get as allocation.

At the end of the day no reasonable thing will be achieved with this allocation .. The governor will come out and say it was used to pay salaries , that's the only effective job I think governors do ...!!

publish wetin , they will tell u it was used to pay salaries .
That is what we want to see,
No of ministries
no of departments in a ministry
Salary structure and justification
A reputable source for verification, anything outside that is fraud and allocations should be suspended from that state.

Akwa ibom is a state in Nigeria @OP.

Meanwhile, look at the billions states receive monthly, yet a state as small as Bayelsa is not able to pay salaries. Monthly allocations are like imprest or pettycash given to these states, FG should request for a monthly report of how these funds are utilized.

You can't keep propping up bad govts with free money. This is what is fueling corruption and also holding Nigeria back.

Every local govt and state should be able to raise there own revenue and take care of themselves for goodness sakes.

Three regions entered into independence Nigeria in 1960.

But beginning 1967 to 1999, Northern military dictators created a whooping number of twenty new federal units in once one northern region, but allowed only seventeen new federal units in the once two southern regions.

Through this fraudulent political structure, northern Nigeria takes home most of the revenues to northern Nigeria.

If revenues that are supposed to be due to the south had been allowed in the last forty years, southern regions of Nigeria should have been like Dubai of today.
Worse, southerners look like Lucozade or fight themselves over which group shall take the crumbs from Arewa table.

That would not be possible until Nigeria system of government is decentralized.

No, that is not the point. Osun is not poor at all.

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was beefing Osun State before he left, that is why Osun State allocation was deducted every month.

This hatred by GEJ was transferred to Buhari. This is why Buhari has been deducting Osun State allocation.
Aregbe is a real clown . . .

Fayose do publish is own monthly
Proudlyngwa:
Now we have seen this,
The F.G should ensure that all states publicly publish their monthly expenditure and leave avenues for verification open before the next allocation.

Failure to do this is corruption aiding corruption.
@ Enuguboy4nsk please modify the thread no number 13 which I believe is Akwa Ibom
