AF Nigeria Premier League 2016/2017 Nigeria
Victor Moses gets fifth straight Chelsea start

Nigeria forward Victor Moses will continue his impressive showing in the Premier League with a fifth straight start for Chelsea today at Southampton.

It is his best ever run at Stamford Bridge.

Since breaking into Antonio Conte’s first team as a right wing-back, Victor Moses has been in scintillating form for Chelsea.

He has made a big success playing from an unfamiliar wing-back position so much so that he has convinced Antonio Conte of his class.

Victor Moses has registered two goals in eight Premier League games this season.

Chelsea are fifth on the table with 19 points from nine matches – six wins, a draw and 2 losses.

Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are the front runners in the league.

Looking at the array of youngsters we currently parade in our forward positions would prefer to include rising players such as Nwobodo, Etebor, Solanke and the likes to an Aluko hu is already on a declining curve.

Na wa. 27 years, declining? We are looking for the best in each role. Not looking for an excuse to drop better players for weaker talents.

Lol sir Icons do not misquote him. He did not say Aluko is 'better' than them. He said he is more 'skillful' than them, which I agree to.

What skill has Iheanacho got on the ball? Can he even dribble past his marker with ease?

Iheanacho has skills but he hardly uses it. I hope Sane influences Iheanacho to unlock his hidden skills.

In the game against Manchester United, there was one he pulled off and I wondered were was it all these while. Back in his early days with Pellegrini, he showed some brilliant skills.

I hope he rediscovers his touch under Guardiola.

But he dribble past the Zambia keeper. Btw foottball skills is not all about dribbling, Intelligence (game understanding),
Vision(ability to see build-up play ahead to others or
ability to see a pass or awareness of players around you),
Composure (ability to control the game at any critical
situation in the match)

Aluko has these too. In the last game, Aluko created three chances that led to goals.

Super Eagles Coach Receives Good News
From Leicester Ace Musa Ahead Battle Of Uyo

Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report
that Leicester City frontman Ahmed Musa is not in danger of missing out on the crucial Super Eagles World Cup qualifier against Algeria in less than two weeks time.

Millions of Super Eagles faithful, including the
Nigeria Football Federation and coach Rohr, had
their hearts in their mouths when Musa suffered
an injury while scoring the equalizer versus
Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in the Premier
League.

The latest update from LE2 7FL is the Nigeria
assistant captain only suffered a knock, which will definitely not prevent him from featuring against West Brom next Sunday.

After a slow start to his career with the Foxes,
Musa has been firing on all cylinders in the last
few weeks, with two goals in as many games.
Meanwhile, Wolves netminder Carl Ikeme remains doubtful for the trip to Abuja after injuring his hip in a Championship tie against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

Ex-Nigeria U20 Stars Kayode, Kehinde Fatai Help Clubs Record Identical Wins

Two former Nigeria U20 stars Kehinde Fatai and
Olarenwaju Kayode helped their respective clubs record identical wins in league matches on Sunday.

Ufa star Fatai was on target in the 80th minute
as his team saw off Arsenal Tula 2-0 at Stadion Arsenal. Strike partner Sylvester Igboun had set the ball rolling in the first minute of stoppage time in the first half.

FC Ufa are now ninth on the Russian Premier
League table after recording their fourth win, and their Nigerian strikers have accounted for all but one of the goals they have scored.

In the Austrian top-flight, Kayode gave Austria
Vienna a two-goal lead in the 67th minute in their win over Bright Edomwonyi’s Sturm Graz at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion .

The former Maccabi Netanya frontman has
finished each season with at least 10 league goals since he returned to Europe in 2013.

REVEALED: The New Camp Rules Rohr Has
Put In Place For Super Eagles Players Ahead Algeria Test

Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr is leaving no stone unturned in his bid to ensure Nigeria pick all three points in their next World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Algeria in Uyo.

The German disciplinarian has to that effect
introduced new camp rules, which he discussed
with captain of the team John Obi Mikel when
they met in London last week.

The rules were introduced to keep the players
focus ahead of the game, as Rohr has not been
comfortable with the conduct of some players in
the build up to the games against Tanzania and
Zambia.

Rohr’s first rule is the instituting of a deadline for the arrival of players, as no player who arrive after the 7th of November will be admitted in camp.

The move is to checkmate the excesses of players who will arrive Nigeria early but drive to camp few days to the game, with excuses about flight connections or family problems.

Also from now henceforth players will not be
allowed to keep their personal car in the premises of the hotel where the team are camped, no thanks to the furore Ahmed Musa caused when he arrived camp for the Zambia clash in a flashy car.

Friends and family members will also not get
access to the players unlike before, until after the game, a situation the manager frowned at when he noticed it’s like a tradition for friends to visit the players or even live in same hotel with them before games.

Obafemi Martins To Pocket N4 Billion In New One-Year Deal With Shanghai Shenhua

Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins has extended his contract with Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua.

The former Inter Milan, Newcastle United and Wolfsburg star first penned a one-season deal with the Gregorio Manzano-led side, but will now stay with the club until the end of the 2017 season based on the new agreement.

Prior to today’s clash with Changchun Yatai, Martins had averaged 0.5 goals per game (15 goals from 30 appearances) in the current season, and those stats played a key role in the club’s decision to activate the one year contract extension clause earlier inserted into his deal in February 2016.

The 32-year-old will pocket $9 million wages (equivalent of N4.1 billion) in the new deal that he signed, $2.4 million more than he was paid in 2016.

Martins has also represented Seattle Sounders, Rubin Kazan, Levante UD and Birmingham City.

Algeria plan counter-attacks against Eagles

New Algeria coach Georges Leekens is looking to pick up maximum points against Nigeria in their Russia 2018 World Cup Group B qualifier in Uyo on November 12 by hitting the Super Eagles on the counter-attack with quick, direct forward passes.

The 67-year-old Belgian, who replaced Serbian
Milovan Rajevac as the Desert Foxes manager on
Friday, is hoping to hit the ground running from
the first game.

Leekens, who was sent packing recently by
Belgian side Lokeren after losing eight out of 12
games this season, has reportedly settled for a
4-2-3-1 formation for the Uyo encounter.

The former Tunisia manager, who previously
managed the Desert Foxes in 2003, is said to
have opted for the formation, which has helped
top managers such as Alex Ferguson, Jurgen
Klopp, Manuel Pellegrini and Jose Mourinho
achieve success.

Leekens is apparently out to stop Nigeria’s young forwards Kelechi Iheanacho and Alex Iwobi from replicating the stunning form they showed in the Eagles’ 2-1 defeat of Zambia in their opening 2018 World Cup qualifier in Ndola on October 9.

Manchester City’s Iheanacho and Arsenal’s Iwobi scored both goals in the Ndola victory.

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr on Saturday named both players in his 24-man squad for the Uyo
encounter.

According to the highly influential Algerian outlet Le Buteur, Leekens has decided to approach the Nigeria clash with the system because he believes the Desert Foxes squandered their early lead to be held to a 1-1 draw at home by Cameroon in their opening Russia 2018 qualifier because the defence lacked support.

The former Belgium coach has moved to fix the
defence ahead of the game against Nigeria to
enable the team to earn full points, despite the
attacking riches at Rohr’s disposal.

With the a 4-2-3-1 formation, Leekens is planning to play two players in front of his back four, with one of them breaking up any Nigerian attacks through Iheanacho and Iwobi, while the other send quick passes to Leicester City’s attacking duo Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani.

“The pressure does not scare me at all and I am
motivated to succeed with the Greens. I can also say that I have a debt to the Algerian team,” Le Buteur quoted Leekens as saying on Sunday.

The outlet adds that the coach will play the tape of the match between Nigeria and Zambia from Wednesday to Friday “to get an idea about them (Eagles)”.

He said, “This operation will begin on Wednesday and will last until Thursday evening or Friday since Leekens wants to prepare for the meeting of Nigeria, who will be his first opponents in his return to the Greens.”

When Conte said Mikel was the type of player Chelsea needed to win, did he not see Mikel on the pitch? Mikel has a high work rate. His stats at the World Cup proved that when he was among the Nigerian players who covered the most distance on the field.

Mikel is a thorough professional for keeping it low with conte not like Anelka and Malouda saga where they were banished to train with 2nd team.

Contrary to rumours emanating from a section of the media, Rizespor stopper Godfrey Oboabona, Wolfsburg trainee Victor Osimhen, Amkar Perm ace Brian Idowu, Gent midfielder Anderson Esiti and Chippa United goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi were never considered for selection in the latest Super Eagles roster.

Allnigeriasoccer.com is in the possession of an email sent by the Nigeria Football Federation to all the invited foreign-based professionals and the aforementioned players were never informed to show up in Abuja for the World Cup qualifier against Algeria.

As a result of the document in our possession, this website correctly predicted the new players invited to beef up the squad, without making guesses, leaving out ADO Den Haag youngster Ebuehi because we were not sure of his email address and his Dutch agent has not yet informed us of his availability up to this moment.

Suggestions that the NFF and technical crew made last minute changes to the 25-man roster are out of topic and something done to save face.

It is common knowledge that Watford striker Isaac Success would have been invited but was eventually omitted after suffering another injury setback.
