BellaElla conman take a warm hug, don't mind them you hear. Clear your mind, love your baby cos nobody can do that more than you. Try and see if you can clear the stretch marks a bit, it takes time. More stretch marks may come with more babies so why beat yourself.
Most women and even men wey no born any baby have stretchmarks but that didn't stop them from loving their body.

There are so many things I wish I had known about motherhood before I became a mother. Perhaps I wouldn't have been so depressed right now.

I wish I had known that breastfeeding is so hard.
I thought that once I put to bed, milk would keep gushing.
I wish I knew that people would judge me so harshly because I introduced NAN to my son at 2 weeks because my milk production was too low, perhaps I would have lied that I was o EBF
I wish I had known that people would openly compare my son's weight to theirs at his age and tell me he isn't looking fresh and chubby cos am not on EBF. My son's birth weight is 2.9kg. He is 4 weeks old, pls is he supposed to be a giant?
I wish I had known that your in-laws think they can love your baby more than you and take better care of him than you can. Maybe I wouldn't have been feeling this cold rage at my DH right now for trying convince me to go back to EBF, when he was the one that pressured me into giving formula in the first place. Of course in laws can never be wrong
I wish I knew that childbirth would scar my body so bad, I always thought that the love I feel for my son would make me welcome a the wrinkles, fat and stretch marks. That is not my case. I feel terrible when I look at my pre pregnancy pics.

am a second time mum. i started with NAN for my first baby at 8 days after delivery but it was purging her so i switched to SMA infant formula after some days and she took it for 6 months before switching to frisogold rice and milk cereal.then at 1 yr gave golden morn but very light wit peak 123 milk. my baby was a heavy eater and breast milk wasnt enof.

i took my baby for herbal chek up and was given herbs at 2 months despite eating heavily but it wasnt showing on d babys weight until i gave her the herbs before she added weight.i was told she has (OKA) which prevents a child from adding weight by taking d nutrients.



as for the wrinkles and strech marks dats d joy of being a mum.i used shea butter and robb when i feel itchy on my tommy.so i didnt itch my tommy at all and i av a clean tommy.use shea butter .it wil fade with time then work on ur tommy later.

women wil say different tins and suggest a lot of tins to but follow ur instincts nd ur doctor. ur baby wil b ok. no worries.

hmmmm teamie how fa,.my baby was in a breech position when d sonographer saw DAT she WS a girl but I fink why he was he was able to see it was bcs she was just moving all her body, both head oo, hands oo and her legs were worse.....lol.... U can kip checking since babies kip doing acrobatics.... U myt just be lucky to see it one day. ... Ur cervix been 3.7cm my gynae will tell u, u are OK only when its below 3cm den u can panick...

Nawah o" lol so u see? U have to jst do what u deem best for "UR" baby, not theirs. In fact there Ws a time I wish I had smone to babysit my son so I wldnt take him evrytime I had to run errands cos of all this "mothers of the universe" dt won't let u rest n smtime make u feel inadequate as a mother. Bellaella pls take it easy on yourself.my baby started formula day 3 after trrying and trying to suck to no avail.

Embrace yourself, the body changes ,your new born ànd enjoy your life,dont allow other people's opinion limit your happiness.

in my own little opinion,i believe weight gain is also dependent on the nature of the baby. wouldnt say formula feeding is solely responsible.

you can continue combining breastmilk and formula, except you are sure you lactate well enough.

try and bond with your baby and forget all the worries, children are special and they are a gift from God.

Bellaella, my darling teamie! Come and take a big hug. Don't let anyone mk u feel less of yourself. Develop a thick skin because a lot of people enjoy giving unsolicited advises.

There is no medal attached to EBF! Don't beat yourself if BM isn't flowing well. Personally, I do combination feeding from Day 1. Don't let anyone push you around or force their decisions down your throat!

Motherhood comes with some level of toughness. Make your decisions known to all involved. Stretch marks and all others will fade with time.

Love yourself, love your baby, enjoy this time with baby cos dey grow very fast. Don't give room to any negativity that makes you feel less of a good mother. Postpartum depression can be overwhelming, don't give in.

As for the breast feeding, ensure baby latches on well. Bring baby to the breast i.e get a pillow on your laps to help prop her up and put the n.ip.ples + black area (areola) in baby's mouth. Continous sucking will mk ur BM flow well.

Send these kisses to yourself and baby

Mama I teLl you o, some of those comments/remarks are so annoying. Last week, I was so tensed on a hot sunny day after my sister's wedding, and was rushing to my elder sisters working place to drop something for her before she goes home, I boarded a bus and sat at the back seat, u knw how difficult it is to climb that back seat sometimes especially nw that I'm heavy and was backing my toddler, I was also carrying a big polythene bag o, I was sweating profously and felt so uncomfortable. So when somebody came down from one of the front seats I decided to come down and seat down there because I had almost gotten to where I was going so that I won't seat at the last side in the back seat( that would be more stressful for me to come down) as I climbed the seat a woman at the back was like madam abeg why u dey hit that baby head ontop the door nw, me I didn't notice that my toddler's head hit the door o and he didn't cry, she mentioned that I did it the first time I entered the bus, with all the tension in me I jux lashed out and told her to leave me alone jor, that I'm so stressed out moreover the baby is mine, he didn't cry and I didn't deliberately hit his head on the door (if at all his head even hit the door). I was so surprised at myself the way I talked to that woman and she is far older than me. When I got to my sisters place I started regretting it and was like what about if this woman doesn't have any children of her own and I was there telling her that I am the one that gave birth to the child nobody gave birth to him for me. I felt I acted selfish and immature and wished I had not replied her in that rude manner. I boarded a taxi off recent, this time around just me alone, my toddler was in school when a lady was saying 'ah madam you jux press urself inside this motor, u suppose dey carry two seats because of your condition, u nor knw say as this motor tight ur baby sef no go dey comfortable, I jux told her I hear. Sometimes when I'm going to work people will be asking me why I am still backing my son to work, that I should allow him walk, that I am just stressing myself. But if I allow him walk that means I'll get to work late, cos I teach in a private school my principal frowns at teachers coming late. I back him to school and he walks home after closing. And some people in my school are still saying I am stressing him by making him walk home, I should back him. Mehn its not easy o, people will always level one complain about how you take care of your children

I remember 3 months ago that I went with my son to Shoprite in Jakande. He started having the makings of an asthma attack so I carried him out as him walking would have made it worse and I didn't have his inhaler. One mama came out of nowhere and pulled him down that I am too pregnant to be carrying this big boy around.

I smiled and sweetly told her that he was having an asthma attack and now she has made it worse. The lady started apologising and helped me carry him to my car. She was the one that used her mouth to say that she jumped to conclusions and will think better before she speaks next time. She actually stayed until his inhaler kicked in. But it also taught me to mind my business.

Keep massaging with hot water (not too hot o) everyday till u drop ur lo and allow d bm to flow out. u are lucky u have not started breastfeeding because d pain is outta dis world. instead of adding weight after birth I reduced within few hours due to d pain. Mastitis is a biatch aswear!
