My princess @ 4 days old. The joy she brought into my life can't be measure.

Hi team April, hope you guys are good / special greetings to everyone keeping this forum alive.

I'm Super excited today. I went for 4d scan today and I'm 99% TEAM BLUE (It's a BOY).

From my calculation based on LMP I should be 16w5d. But 4d showed 17w1d, meanwhile the first ultrasound scan I did was in line with my calculation.

Anyways I'm so happy... Seeing my prince today just made the bond stronger, I can't wait to meet him.

Goodevening mamas and mamas to be... I'm glad I found this thread.. I have some questions please.... I got a cercelage due to incompetent cervix around 12weeks and around 18weeks I saw little blood stain.. was scared so I called my dr and was asked to go in for a scan.. To the Glory of God the baby is fine but cervical length is short I measuring 18mm was placed on some medicine and was told to rest.... my question now is when I did the cercelage my dr told me it is okay for me to travel cos I intend traveling to have the baby.. bought ticket and have done necessary arrangement. I want to know if anyone has gone through this and still traveled without any problem .. I believe God I will carry to Term in Jesus name.. sorry for the long write up.. thank you

My dear, I won't lie, bedrest at home isn't 100%bedrest...bcs Dre's no 1 at home, I make myself both brkfast and lunch...but sumfin simple DAT dosnt stress me, I avnt been able to rest well sef, no light d heat is deadly, my husband isn't helping matters, today is petting me,2mao he is giving me emotional wahala... If not for hospital bill, hospital is d best place for bed rest...until next week Monday dats wen I should knw wats going to happen...

Not to worry my sister everything will be fine. Dont blame/mind DH u hear, men don't really understand these things, he might be going through emotional stress too, a lot of thots might be going through his head u know.
Just take each day as it comes.
And it's totally not easy to bed rest at home at all, one yeye voice will be telling you to just fix one small tin or d other, it wouldn't hurt, but please don't listen, it does make a difference. If you have your own bed, u can ask dh to please get some bricks and place under the foot of the bed to elevate it a little (tredelenburg position) *spelling* .
Rest ur mind as much as u rest your body, try not to overheat too, shower as much as you can to cool off.
don't stand for more than a few minutes to take weight of the cervix.

This is a very tough situation but God can still do it. I had a cerclage with my last kid and i was also put on bedrest. The only travel i did was from abuja to lagos and it was by air and i was 28 wks plus which is the age of viability and it was a 1 hr flight. I never bled but i had episodes of cramping after . For that pregnancy i was supposed to be in the US btwn july and sept but opted to stay back and have my baby first in aug before proceeding on my journey. I could not risk that long distance travel cos i was scared of loosing my baby. Pregnancy with a cerclage is termed high risk i dont think your doctor gave the best advice . Please contact your doctor in the US and ask for his opinion before you travel. It is well with you

Hmmm I like d brick idea, dats d kinda position I slept for 4 days in d hospital, DAT made my cervix improve a little, na wa..I havnt been faithful to sis bedrest at all...but will try and be dedicated to it for d remaining 3 days...tnx xo much...God bless u

..God abeg o, so mama even with d cercelage one still needs less stress and bedrest..? Like dre are chances of it opening bcs of stress or what?...I fink my gynae mentioned DAT... Not too sure...plz I want to know more bcs my wedding is less Dan 3weeks and we knw d stress DAT comes with wedding...
