lovediehatelive: For so many people, the only real 'weight problem' is about losing it. If you want to add weight, you won't get much sympathy from anybody. They'll just tell you how lucky you are, that you shouldn't be complaining and that they wish they had your "problem". Well, if you're reading this, you know what a bunch of BS that is, right? I guess you HATE being skinny. It doesn't do a whole lot for a guy's social life. The truth is, you need to gain mass not fat. No one will ever gain muscle without food. Dieting for muscle gain is simply a matter of eating. But that doesn't mean there isn't a lot to learn. Stuffing your face with the wrong type of food, or just eating 1 or 2 large meals a day isn't the way to gain muscle. You'll just end up with the other weight problem. You must eat more calories than your body burns off. While this rule can not be broken, it also doesn't give you license to eat just anything. You have to eat high protein, high quality, nutritious meals and have them at least 6 times a day. If you don't and just gorge yourself whenever on whatever, almost all the weight you gain will be fat, not to mention the possible damage to your health. High quality protein should be the center point of all your meals. Intense exercise increases demand for protein, which support muscle repair and growth. When you train with weights, you should eat a minimum of 1.5 grams of protein per pound (0,453592 kg) of bodyweight. If you weight 150 pounds (68+kg), try and take in at least 225 grams of protein each and every day. For skinny guys, your body will easily burn off any muscle you build unless we do things right and that means eating at least 6 high protein meals every single day, and more if you can do it. You should eat every 2 or 3 hours and if you have a really fast metabolism it wouldn't hurt to down a protein shake in the middle of the night if you happen to wake up to pee. You don't have to have carbs or fat at every meal, but you must have protein. When I say protein, I am referring to high quality protein derived from animal sources. For getting bigger and stronger, the only protein you need to be concerned with are those found in whey, casein (cottage cheese), eggs, beef, poultry, and fish. HIGH PROTEIN FOODS - Whey protein - Eggs - Egg whites - Chicken breasts - Turkey Breasts - Lean Beef - Fish (tuna, salmon) - Protein bars - Egg Protein Powder - Casein - Milk HIGH CARBOHYDRATE FOOD - Potatoes - Sweet Potatoes, yams - Oatmeal, cream of wheat, cream of rice - Rice - Beans - Any green leafy vegetable - Bread - Pasta HEALTHY FATS - Olive oil - Sunflower oil - Safflower oil - Flaxseed oil - Walnuts - Coconut Oil - Avocados 3 Likes 2 Shares |

lovediehatelive:I don't think this diet will work. It's vegetarian and spaghetti is very light esp for men. The other Nigerian diets made up of soups with a lot of meats and starches will work better. |

seizethaBae:Don't know about the other drug but that Multivitamin is kind of addictive..sure you'll add weight but after your body starts to depend on it. If you don't take it you won't eat you'll be surprised by 1pm you've not eaten breakfast and when you stop it ypu become slim back worst than you were before because your body has learnt to depend on it....maybe it happens to just me....yours might be different 1 Like |

Pillyportions:To lose weight, the best chance of long-term success is to eat a healthy diet and to exercise regularly. You need to be using more energy (calories) than you are taking in by eating. There is only a limited role for medicines to help with weight loss. Orlistat is a drug that is sometimes advised. However, it is no 'wonder drug'; it only partially helps, and you still need to make lifestyle changes to improve your diet, eat less and increase your physical activity levels to lose weight. Weight loss is not recommended during pregnancy, even if you are overweight or obese. Before you start taking Orlistat, your BMI (body mass index) must be 28 or above. You must be over the age of 18. Your BMI is calculated by dividing your weight (in kilograms) by the square of your height (in metres). So, for example: If you weigh 70 kg and are 1.55 metres tall, your BMI is 70/(1.55 x 1.55), which is 29. Normal healthy BMI is 18.5 to 24.9 kg/m2. In general, the more your BMI is over 25, the more overweight or obese you are, and the greater the risk to your health. You should not take Orlistat for more than six months over the counter. If you have not lost weight after taking orlistat for three months, you should not continue to take it. Common side effects from using Orlistat include: oily or fatty stools; oily spotting in your undergarments; orange or brown colored oil in your stool; gas and oily discharge; loose stools, or an urgent need to go to the toilet, inability to control bowel movements; an increased number of bowel movements; or stomach pain, nausea, rectal pain. These side effects are usually temporary and may lessen as you continue using the drug. If you take orlistat, you should take a multivitamin supplement at bedtime as it may possibly interfere with the absorption of some vitamins. I advise that you see a doctor/pharmacist to help you determine if you really need to use Orlistat. Personally, I would recommend that you just adjust your diet. I've seen people loose weight by adjusting their diet and doing more physical activity. |

stubbornman: You're very lucky. Your metabolism is very high; so if you eat late, it won't show because your body burns the foods fast. People with slow metabolism shouldn't try what you do else, they will become robust with little effort. |

Stelvin101: Include more veggies in your meal. Slow energy releasing foods are foods that don't spike or cause a sudden increase in the sugar level in the blood. A sudden increase in blood sugar level leads to cravings and encourages the body to store more fats. Foods like oats don't do that. That's why it's one of the foods weight watchers take.
