The shop owner may have seen and copied the name from the ATM card. The issue is, why don't Nigerians trust themselves? 24 Likes 1 Share |

I wish he would mention the store and state. I hope its in Lagos and we can note the event so we remember to collect tax on this transaction from the merchant. 15 Likes 1 Share |

thesicilian: The name and even the number is useless to him. POS stands for point of sale, it is instant! If you dont get your money at the time of transaction, then get a well documented contract of debt, with signature, picture and possibly finger print. We are not talking about 100naira here...look at the sum! Go to all length to get your money. 15 Likes 3 Shares |

ImperialYoruba:I understand sha, he took a great and silly risk. But the fact that he chose to trust a foreigner in a situation where he wouldn't have dared to do same for a Nigerian is what I am concerned about. 13 Likes |

hmmm . well niggaz are untrustworthy creatures so ermmm i see where the seller is coming from. while whites place more value on things above the material, blacks worship the material. i see where the seller is coming from although he is still a mumu cuz no way anybody is walking away with 200k of my goods. then again maybe the business is a front for shady activities and he doesnt really care about the things he is selling. he using the business to secure million dollar loans etc etc 3 Likes 1 Share |

the question everyone should ask himself/herself is : if I'm given this opportunity by a stranger, :what will I do? most Nigerians will simply run away and even give testimony in church about how God sent an angel to them. the extremely few that will return to pay will be booed and yabbed by probably their family, colleagues, society and even church/mosque members the white has their bad egg too but their society don't make them feel like super star unlike here ... even in heaven, I don't think I can blindly trust a Nigerian 7 Likes |

This is story is so untrue. The white Nigerian is a scammer. this is the media age, shows us evidence, such as picture of the item carried, receipt or invoice and name of shop and location. I remember an instant back in England, one Bristol trying to scam me at an ATM Machine or the small (too big for her age) girl on her school at the city centre asking if i have got spare cigarette to give (i dont smoke). Not knowing that predators where at a spot waiting for me to grant her wish. Why are there scammers everywhere? Cant we live in peace together. |

thesicilian: Nothing silly about the risk he took. business is all about making educated guesses and in his case he probably guessed that he might win himself a repeat customer for life by a little show of good faith. Do you know the value of repeat business from a customer who buys 200k in one go, compared to a potential one-time loss of 200K? We all make instantaneous judgments about people so no need to focus on the racial element. 8 Likes |
