Never in the history of planning have i ever heard of development plans for basic indicators lasting 1000 years. Never. Nations set short, medium and long term plans in 5,10 or15 , and 25+ years time frames. The time frame for the MDGs was 2015.
All in all if i remember my development goals well, there were 8 goals, 21 targets and 60 indicators to be met. That, rafiki, is a loooooong list. Worthy of a robust discussion, but only between the right personnel.

And now my question : How has Nigeria performed in meeting the MDGs?

Quite impressive but believe me Nigeria, three cities in the South is building these. Lagos, Port Harcourt and Calabar.

I had seen infrastructures in Kenya on this thread, and I was really impressed. I learnt that Kenya also has her own centrifugal forces, with Mombasa threatening to secede and leave the country landlocked like Eritrea did to Ethiopia.
Kenya seem to be handling the Mombasa threat better.

Also learnt that the electricity supply in Kenya is many times better than those of Nigeria, Nigeria is really a cursed place, there have been no light in my area for 1week plus now, government can't provide common electricity, yet they are so callous and insensitive to the suffering of the poor masses that they went and increased the price of petroleum that the poor use to power their generators.

Either way, for a nation not blessed with mineral resources, Kenya has done well for herself and should hold their heads high, they had been blessed with relatively better leadership than Nigeria.
