Tojued: Sorry, but I just had to laugh pele. If you want soft hair, try sebamed shampoo. It's really good. My son has tough hair too but since I began using sebamed, it's made his hair much more manageable. The good thing about sebamed is that a little goes a long way so the small bottle lasts for many months. 2 Likes |

Zheemub: Based on my experience with my son's hair, the shampoo you use is important. At a point I was even searching for a "baby conditioner" as I struggled to comb his hair even after applying a shea butter mix. Then I switched his shampoo from boots to sebamed and it has made a remarkable difference. So I wash with sebamed, towel dry lightly and then apply a home made mix of shea butter, cocoa butter and coconut oil. 3 Likes |

rofemiguwa: It's too early for mashed/lumpy solids at 6 months plus. Puréed food is what's recommended. Potatoes (Irish or sweet) are excellent but combine with either mixed vegetable (depending on your choice though) and chicken or both. You have to try different varieties and not stick to the same recipe. My rule of thumb for any combo I prepare is that three areas must be covered - carbohydrate, protein and most importantly vegetables. For example, this week might be Irish/chicken/green peas, next might be sweet potatoes/beef/mixed veg, following week might be both, etc. With time, you will find out the combo he enjoys the most as he will end up having a favourite. You have to be careful with fruits because if it's too much, it could result in loose or frequent stools. 1 Like 5 Shares |

Good evening wonderful mothers. @deyoola, my lo also had d eye discharge thing which resolved we tried several things but finally resolved when he was 3 months. My suggestions are: get normal saline (drip) and clean cotton wool and clean as much as possible may be even 3 hours daily. Also try punctal massage : massage the area where the inner eyes touches the upper part of the nose using strokes from the inner eyes down to the side of the nose. You can do like 5- 10stokes thrice daily. Ensure you wash your hands before doing this. This is to ensure free flow of eye fluid so that it can drain into the body. Also it will prevent accumulation of water in the eyes that can become infected and then discharges. I hope it helps 2 Likes |

Good evening wonderful mama's thankyou so much for all de work and dedication you put into this thread. please ma baby has ringworm he is 3months its been dere for more than a month , it goes and new ones comes out, it affects his front hair also. I went to de hospital for immunization on monday and showed it to a midwife there so she told me that it is ringworm and to use nystatin cream and drops on him So it could kill it from the inside so I got the cream and started using it on him, but I didn't get de nystatin drop yet, I woke up this morning to notice that on those spot of ringworm is this big reddish boil all over his back, chest and chin and I noticed this evening that the boil is spreading all over his body. slashypexy: Put up a picture so we can be sure it's ring worm! My own treatment of ring worm was simply adding disinfectant to bath water and to rinse clothes. Then I applied Whitfield's ointment. Don't know all these creams you've been asked to apply to be honest. Use google as well you may find some more help there 1 Like 1 Share |

slashypexy: You shouldn't have allowed it stay for so long before speaking out! You're lucky my cane is far you for receive some lashes this morning! It seems like impetigo that's drying up to me not ring worm. But certainly you have to add disinfectant to his bath water. Change all the sheets, wrappers etc and rinse with disinfectant. Use more bleach around the house. It's a bacterial infection. These should also help if it's actually ringworm The temperature bit isn't too good please see a dr today if you can even if it's at your local health center just try and go. He might need antibiotics because it's spread so much. Google impetigo and ring worm then compare with what you have here as well. Good luck 1 Like |

Wonderful mamas, thanks for all the prayers, I really appreciate you all. Olamide is now hale and hearty. The result of the test shows he has infection and antibiotics was prescribed for him to be taken for ten days. My assumption of how he got infected, though I might be wrong but I will share it. Jejely o On Saturday, I was about climbing a bike to go get some foodstuffs. I carried my baby with me since his father was not around. As I was climbing the bike o, one of our neighbor asked me to bring him so she can back him till I come back. They have been trying to carry him since I gave birth to him but I always avoid that cos they are extremely neat (make I no talk another thing) and all their kids had this cough that refuse to go for a long time. But that day, I was hell in a tight corner, couldn't say no (they are also our church member and she is our home cell minister). That's how he collected him and I headed straight to the market. I didn't stay long cos my mind was with him. When I came back, and i went there to carrry him, I met him at the of their grandmother sleeping. She said she would bring him when he wakes up, I said Ok thank you ma. Went back home, but just praying that they should not give him anything to eat or drink cos of their extreme neatness. Only for the woman to bring him after 20mins and told me to teach him how to be taking water from cup, that he gave him water from cup and he doesn't know how to drink it but she helped him. Oh my God, my hubby must not hear this cos he has warned me against it already. I just said thank you ma. And this is the family that when they drink water in d home cell, they will pass the cup of water round and give same cup to any child that cares to drink. And this is the boy that I don't just give him any water. If its not bottle water, I give him sachet water (boil it myself). Now the water they gave him was all these Meruwa water!! That's was how vomiting started on sunday night o, terrible one that the father almost cried. I just kept it to myself, took him to the hospital that night. Never will I try it again whether its d cause or not. Not that he can't even drink from cup o, but I have seen him in two occasions that my friend wanted to give him the same drink his baby was drinking, but he refused. Sorry for my long ranting, I just have to let it out cos its really bother my mind. 6 Likes |
