OBAGADAFFI:I don't think I will exit eterna for now (to go where), the 25k div they paid now is for 2015 financial year. With a good Q3 2016 (1.29k), I will still stay and probably buy more (when Morgan comes back after their long and compulsory vacation). My opinion though. |

jideflash: Not so good but at least market will have a direction from now on. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by OBAGADAFFI: 2:50pm On Nov 22, 2016 |
jideflash: BAD. It means interest rate is not coming down, and inflation will remain high. It has totally lost control of the economy. |

angelo82: OBAGADAFFI: The road ahead is far...The CBN (Monetary policy maker) is not transparent in dealing with Nigeria situations at the moment. As long as they still pegged the Naira, we would continue to see the market tanked and stagnancy of the economy. No investors (foreign) would bring their currency to a country where the federal government is contrarian. This government don't get it at all 2 Likes |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ThePropertyGuy: 5:33pm On Nov 22, 2016 |
OBAGADAFFI: With this decision interest rates are definitely not going to come down, however there is an inverse relationship btw interest rates and inflation. Seeing that the high inflation is largely due to the Forex crunch, reducing the MPR, hence other rates, only fuels higher inflation because we'll have more liquidity chasing fewer goods One can argue that a rate reduction will reduce the cost of fund to manufacturers which in turn reduces the cost of production (and products) and ultimately reduce inflation. However, I don't think this move will do much to ease the rising inflation given that we are talking about a 3,000+ basis point INCREASE in cost of foreign currency (devaluation) compared to a 200 basis point DECREASE in cost of fund. These are my thoughts. |

All you need is to open a cscs account with a stockbroking firm for your Dad. Investment one, csl, cashcraft, leadcapital are few examples you can PICK the necessary forms for your dad If he is the type that can not go himself, attached the usual kyc requirements - utility bill, means of id. then you need to take all the physical certificates to the stockbroking firm after the account is opened for verification and then with the stocks in the cscs you can do whatever with it - sale and get your money, trade or keep. email me if you need further clarification. emmaowes@yahoo.com |

fxuser: Ordinarily, I would buy Skye since it's now 50k but I remember that's exactly how I lost my savings back in 2011 through Starcomms (bought it at 50k and said what's the worst that could happen? Well the worst happened, company did share restructuring then disappeared till today) . So for now, have to look elsewhere... 1 Like |
