Who can get the quote of the poster who said some weeks ago on this forum that EPL is contested among 6 teams

Now someone is asking when Spurs last won the league, When did Arsenal or Liverpool win last to be included?
Exactly my question too...

Why do Spain do so well in Europe?
Because they have great oppositions at home who actually play football.
When you play against teams like Athletico Madrid, FCBarcelona, Real Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia, Athletic Bilbao, Villareal;
And play against such great World Best players like Yours truly, Lionel Messi, Ronaldo, Iniesta, Pique, Ramos, Neymar, GriezMann,Bale, Koke,Arda Turan, Godin, certified more than platinum home and away, you tend to be at your best always.

Why are EPL teams failing in Europe?
No good opposition at home. When a league uses low-lifers like Stoke City as reference point of how tough a team is, and uses the likes of Underachievers like Arsenal to point to how to play good football, then you know something is amiss and it's deteriorating rapidly and faster than a Canon ball.
You can imagine someone opening his gut and spitting trash that there is a reason Messi has not scored against Chelsea. Apparently, Chelsea is the ultimate EPL team every other EPL club should look up to. Hurrah! And you still wonder why EPL is not doing so good aside home soil!

Why wouldn't i turn back the hands of time? Did the english media hype start last year ? Ronaldo, bale and co were hyped and that was why barca and real paid hugely to get them and they justified it. Since you lost this arguement, it's better you dont raise that next time. Nzonzi who was sent away from epl is the one barca is trying to lure to their team. Now , name the players in villareal and other moribund la liga teams that are better technically than sanchez and hazard?
Bailey that is Man Utd best defender was he not from this same Villareal
Sanchez and Ozil that are La Liga dropouts are now kings in the EPL even we can add Pedro to that

Aguero and Silva two of the most creative attacking players in EPL are from la Liga and not even from Barca or Madrid

Adanma Traore a player from Barca youth team is now reputed to be the best dribbler in your league

The top 2 scorers in the EPL currently are ex La liga players

Thats the truth. EPL teams are all equal in mediocrity thats why they look competitive. Its like 20 lepers running a race among themselves

Balon dor for the past 5 seasons has looked like a La liga roll call

Assuming we even remove Messi and Ronaldo from the Balon dor race. No EPL player would still have won it or made top 3 in the past 5 yrs

This year if we remove those 2 there is still Neymar Suarez Grezmann Bale Kroos

Epl world class players are media hypes, but madrid and barca wont stop coming for them. Ronaldo, bale, modric, suarez and co. Xavi must be working for BBC for hyping coutinho too. Zidane hyping hazard ? Try another bro. You must be joking as regards those villareal etc being competition to the big4 in epl. cheesy cheesy cheesy

These players became very much better when they came to La Liga.

This is the type of foolishness we talk about.
Barcelona in the past 10yrs won 4 CL, 3 of those they beat an EPL team in the final
Atletico serially molested Chelsea both in Super cup + CL. Their last 3 meetings have ended 7-2 aggregates in favor of Atletico
Madrid have beaten every EPL team they faced City last yr, Liverpool even surrendered before halftime in Anfield in 2014
Sevilla beat Liverpool into a coma last Europa finals
Barca have played Man City 6 times in recent years won 5 lost 1
If I remember correctly, Messi has played EPL teams 15 times scored 17 goals, Didn they forget how to tackle him in those games?

This is why the consensus here is that you are clinically insane

How many European titles exist presently? Don't drag us to the medieval era of inter toto cups and extinct cup winners cup.

Even if your own soccer started last decade, winning 10 europa cups will never be equal to 1 ucl trophy. Even when chelsea won the cup we all prayed not to relegate to that boring competition again. Sevilla's 5 europa trophies cheesy.

lost what argument? lol. really how could you be talking about ronaldo , bale and co? are we having this argument now or are we having it years ago? at the point Madrid bought bale and ronaldo, if man u and spurs were top class and competive enough would they leave? capital NO. Didn't la liga lose de maria, mata, cazorla, Sanchez, ozil, otamendi, David Silva, Diego Costa, yaya tuore, and many others to EPL too. so stop dwelling in the past and let's compare LA liga and EPL as they are today. if EPL wants to stop Madrid from poaching players they have to start winning champions leagues again, I mean step up the game.

We have been reading these since way back. Even when liverpool came to sodomise barca at home. Ronaldo really exposed la liga as a weak league for a star player if you are in barca and madrid. Apart from the 3 teams and sevilla, valencia, villareal, other teams are like championship sides in quality.

And yet Bilbao, a supposed Championship side raped Fergie's Man Utd home and away. Issorait!

quite correct. Stoke city is always their SI unit when discussing the EPL. I pray Stoke city plays barca someday. but then how could that be possible? even if barca decides to lose matches and end up 6th to in order to play Stoke in the Europa league , they still wouldn't find them there.

If it comes to Leicester you will say its the beauty of EPL thats making them progress without experience, If its Spurs we say its lack of experience in the CL.

These Spurs players play Europe almost every season and they had a group of EUropa level teams so that excuse is invalid

Players like Son, Eriksen Lamela, Lloris Alderwereld all have CL experiences

How many did they even have and most were just teenagers in a different team? And I don't think anything is wrong with their defence consisting of Lloris and Alderweireld but their attack.
Anyway, I think they will need to continue their progress as a team in the CL/europa before they can make a statement. Take for example, some of Atletico players have playing together consistently for years in the CL!

Partly true they have great players in same team while other teams paraded malnourished players. Also they looked much better as they saw large quantity of mumu players that are in majority of other teams. Tackles were flying on them in epl but in la liga, defenders are less-aggressive. Ronaldo was just chewing gums banging in goals with ease smiling. grin

Yes, not every team attaches importance to europa league like sevilla and other laliga moribund teams. If i am a player of man utd, having tasted ucl nights before, i will devour two bottles of beer before those europa matches.

Lloris played well for Lyon Son played for Leverkusen I think Lamela and Alderwereld also played.

How come this team that is unbeaten in the EPL is now losing 3 games out of 5 in the CL

Maybe Man Utd wasnt paying atention to CL that was what made them crash out last season too and Spurs too wasnt attaching importnace to CL

Everton Man Utd and Liverpool were playing their first team in Europa yet dem dey lie say they didnt attach importance to it

Mou is a defensive minded coach who of recent has lost his magic wand in offensive football, so i am not surprised if a defender won motm. Kelechi exposed bailey in a big match, isaac ajayi nailed his coffin in watford match. Those shakabula shows he had earlier are gradually turning to fraud.

So he is the only defensive player in the team? Since he left injured how many defensive players have won the team of the month? Or Mourinho defensive minded is only for Bailey but not for Rojo Jones Smalling Shaw or Blind

you made valid points but don't you think the style of football which differs in both countries could be a factor as well? Spain prefer technicality, England prefers physicality. its akin to light versus darkness.

I think it depends, partly on the Coach, Guardiola is here, I am not sure he depends on physicality to bring out the best in those Citee players, Chelsea nko, the team is playing well, is Liverpool and Klopp using physicality too, the thing is, ds physicality we are talking about sef, I really don't get, shey Marcelo, Modric, Ramos, Macherano, Suarez, Pique and doz ATM players no dey use physicality ni.
