Ugosample:The root problem is simply because you are Igbo and tagged overly ambitious.... somebody said it right here on this thread. But is it a pain if someone decides to shoot for the best? They hate us simply because we strive to be best, irrespective of the terrain we find our-selves. whether its friendly or not. But this is what defines the Igbo man; hard work. Shear hard work. You can't take it away from us. For example, I've been in the office since Friday working without touching home. If I become successful today, one idiot will start hating, without considering the fact that countless working hours have been sacrificed. I don't just get it. Its pathetic. 4 Likes |

blues2022: Yes you may be right... It's the same thing the Ivorian peeps tell me here "Toi, tu travaille toujours toujours" But the Ivorians are not xenophobic like some people (I no call name o, so if you mention me, that is admission of guilt) I saw the Ahmadu Bello video on his opinion of Igbo peeps and I just shook my head. I don't blame him tho, it's cultural differences and misunderstanding that caused it then.. But what can we do na, hustle is embedded in our DNA nwanne m nwoke. 1 Like |
So for those who hate Igbo people here, can you just give two sensible reasons why Or the hatred is based on what your father/mother or whomever told you about Igbos @MeAboki[/quote The reasons are... 1. Igbo man is egocentric and want to dominate. 2. Average Igbo man is a perpetual liars, he would claim to be who he is not and selfish. Perrsonal views. |

tuale4u:You've been repeating this nonsense and running naked since the first page. Yet nobody has taken you serious! Can't you read the lines and smell the coffee? It simply means that your opinions are inconsequential and carries no weight. It ends only in the trash bin and has no bearing whatsoever. Igbo ma onwe ah. Be it in the SE, SS and MB we know ourselves. We remain a stakeholder in the Nigerian project as a majority and shall continue growing from height to heights as a great people. And whenever the country decides to forge a new path under division, not even an ant like yourself would dare stop the rise of a united Igbo country. If you do, you'll get crushed. So keep ranting here from morning till night, spread propaganda articles from blog to social forum in your bid to carry out your schemes. But remember there are all wasted efforts ending only in the trash bin. Igbo Ma Onwe ah! 4 Likes 1 Share |

Hope you know that it is not all Igbo people that are like this, And that these traits can be found in good measure in other tribes right I know what I suffered in the hands of Yoruba peeps in my life, but that does not make me tag all of them wicked tribalist..... judge people based on their character not tgeue tribe or origin, that is what black man has failed to get. |

What is Yoruba or Hausa equivalent of IPOB and Radio Biafra? So if you abuse people, they abuse you back, that is not hatred! If you want to break up, do it normally! Do IPOB have a well structured militia of 3 million members like OPC? That is organisation. You want to break up? No need to fight others! If war must break out, let it be after breakup! After the UN must have helped you to achieve the breakup! No need at all to start with belligerency! 1 Like |

Ugosample:That is a concrete example... he is not even ashamed to admit it right here. Imagine the countless numbers of them Nigerians that parade along with that notion. It tells you something is not right. I have never been an advocate of Biafra, but with what I'm seeing, I'm subscribing to the movement. Biafra will cure a lot of ills. #truth |

"The Igbo philosophy seems to be “money maketh a man” and the Igbo man is prepared to sink to any level or scale the highest mountain to get money…No job is too menial for the Igbo man ...I think there are two main reasons why “the Igbo are everywhere.” First, as I have stated, the Igbos will go to any length in search of money and since they are more willing than any other tribe to do any type of work, no matter how menial, they are ready and cheap source of labour everywhere. Another reason for their migration… is terribly overpopulated by its 12 million or so inhabitants, so that the Igbo is constantly on the move in serch of a place to stand in. While I admire the Igbos for their energy and industry, their insatiable desire for money makes me sick. …I have stated elsewhere in this narrative that the Igbo does not believe that any kindness can be gratuitous and would doubt your sincerity if you were prepared to do any favour for him without demanding or accepting a consideration. As a matter of fact the Igbo man makes the offer before he begins to ask for the help he seeks. This remarks should, however, not be taken to mean that there are no honest people among them. There certainly are, but by and large, the average Igbo man seeks gain from whatever he does. …One common charge against the Igbo is that if you give them an inch they will demand (and quite often take) a mile. An Igbo man in search of residential accommodation is prepared to pay rent for even your kitchen store. Within a week of his moving in, about half a dozen “brothers” come to “visit” him; within a fortnight more of them arrive. He then pleads with you to allow them temporary accommodation in the house but soon they have become permanent and taken every available space in your house. There would be nothing wrong with this if they remained as tenant. But the sad part of it is that before the owner knows what is happening these tenants are dangling money before his eyes for the purchase of the house itself or the adjoining land. The money comes to hand quite easily either through concerted efforts or some wealthy “brothers” or the tribal union, and overnight the owner of the house becomes a tenant on his own land. In like manner, they have surreptitiously ousted “nationals” of the other regions from their market stalls, from their shops, from the rubber plantations and other forms of human endeavour. One may say, it is the stupidity of the other people. Is it any wonder then that some other regions in the federation entertain fear of possible Igbo domination? IT IS TO BE HOPED THAT THEY DO NOT BECOME LIKE THE JEWS , objects of castigation and contempt for their industry and adventurous spirit". Oba Akenzua, 1965. 5 Likes |

Ugosample: You are living in denial. There can be no unity with people who hate the very things that make you who you are. The things that make the Igbo who we are, the ambitious spirit, the entrepreneur spirit that is always searching for opportunities to make money out of nothing, the aggressive drive for success at all cost, in any endeavour he puts his mind to, the independent rebellious spirit that bows to no traditional or political figure head, the colonial spirit that will always seek out to dominate any place he finds himself through sheer hardwork and communal joint effort that makes him to invite kinsmen to help him establish control in a new area, driven by the core values of "Onye aghana nwanne ya". These are things that drive the non Igbo Nigerians mad, They can never be comfortable with it and Ndiigbo are never going to stop exhibiting those traits, cos those are our cultural imprints, they are things that make us who we are. We have an impasse with OduaArewanistans and their allies. 5 Likes |

blues2022: Look at how the Igbophobic Akenzua, took everything that made Ndiigbo who we are, and twisted them around like they are sins we have to pay for, in that his article, and even predicted the entire country ganging up against Ndiigbo, which was exactly what happened in the civil war. I had studied the civil war well. And I can to see a pattern between aggressive Igbophobic utterances and media calumny campaign from Arewa-Oduanistan against Ndiigbo that preceded that war. They watered the ground for the carnage that took place after the counter coup and the civil war proper. 2 Likes |

pazienza: Hmmm.... Have you lived among Yoruba people in Lagos, or Hausa people to know that they ALL hate us. I have done so, and to tell you the truth, many of my Yoruba peeps tell me that indeed, they admire the hustle spirit of the Igbo man. The bad eggs are the ones causing trouble upandan, the unemployed touts, agbero etc. those ones are miserable and of course, miserable people don't like when people are successful. And as someone rightly said, the hatred is two ways, there are some Igbo people who don't like Yoruba people or Hausa people at all, calling them all sorts of derogatory names and stuff. I got some clips from Nnamdi Kanu, and his choice of words, smh... well, every one with his opinion, and life goes on. 1 Like |

pazienza:Its painful. the loss and stigma. I will love to see a united Igbo front that is commited to cure this malady. IPOB is really going about it the wrong way. We don't have to antagonize them, just work with a proportionate objective mind. And the first step is those of us living and doing business in their enclaves to start thinking home.... I have a lot to say... will save it for the right moment. However, IPOB need to rethink their strategy. Its counter productive at the moment. This is my observation anyway. |

Ugosample: People like you were the ones that died more during the counter coup and war proper. My grandfather was the Eze ndi Igbo in Bauchi before the war, well loved by the Northerners there, yet he was a very perceptive mind, he knew what laid behind those friendly laughter and camaraderie from the Northerners, before the counter coup even broke out, he already had left the North with his entire family and was safe at home. Where as non discerning Igbos like you stayed behind, deceived by friendly vibes they were getting from Northerners, they were all slaughtered by their Northern friends. Few of them that were lucky enough to make it to Benue from far North were ambushed and massacred by Tivs, Idomas, and their Hausa friends in Markurdi and it's surroundings. Same happened in Benin and in Yorubaland. Those stupid Igbos died, and nothing happened, their families replaced them, and the Igbo race continued to exist. When the chips are down, it's the hateful ones, the bad eggs, the bitter ones that will lead the mob. The apparent good ones you are counting on will go missing or even join them after little persuasion . 4 Likes 1 Share |

blues2022: Ranting of an ant. You have the right to build Nigeria into a great country without the people calling for separate homeland from the colonial contraption. Equally, it is the prerogative of the dissenters to breakaway from the ever doomed piece of crap called as Nigeria. The fundamental differences in culture and tradition of the nation states that were fused together as Nigeria by the idiotic colonialists cannot allow for any meaningful progress. |

Okay, assuming the 1966 coup did not happen that led to the death of Tafa Balewa and Ahmadu Bello did not happen, will our people have been killed like that? you guys reason zigzag, sorry to say. Okay, let me give you an example that will be easily understood by you. Nnamdi Kanu is in prison as we speak, if for any reason Nnamdi Kanu dies there, with tge allegation that he was poisoned by the government, you think there will be no revolt and bloodshed from his followers (Aboki men in Onitsha will be endangered specie) As dumb as Buhari is, he will not try such a thing because he knows the consequence of that will blow this country. |
