The leaders in both countries are controlled by multinational corporations. Like Nigeria too only in Nigeria the indigenes have slightly more contribution than in either Kenya or SA.

Mind you black people are already ruining SA, call me a self hating racist but take a look around you after to understand what I mean.

I won't call you a "self hating racist" I think "clueless" is more fitting

I know Ali Kiba, you know Ali Kiba, the SA guys on this thread know Ali Kiba.Who is this rest of Africa you talk of?
As a twenty something who was just getting into family life, i listened to alot of Tanzanian musicians and their music is popularly referred to as bongo flava. Ali Kiba is a must for Bongo flava lovers. They sing in Swahili which can make a singer a sensation in both kenya and Tanzania very easily. This is the Swahili speaking zone of Africa, so many have heard of Ali Kiba. And i still love and listen to Bongo flava artists. Now my pre teen daughter can sing most of these bongo flava songs by Ali Kiba and more. Its her environment.
Which brings me to the idea of the Mama awards. I have seen they have created alot of categories and sub categories to cater for all of Africa, but it will never work trying to create an image or notion of Africa as a monolithic zone. Do you think music lovers in India, Japan, Qatar, Thailand and Bhutan,for instance, would accept to be compared for a continental award due to their being on the Asian continent? Why should the same apply to Africa? Countries are better off creating their own music awards. It beats me why some people rub it on others that their country won more awards by this artificial agency ---- it's just another example of a western agency (in this case MTV) woefully failing to understand the nuances of Africa.

Heck, even the rhythms vary across the continent. Someone asking me whether they have heard of Ali Kiba? I will retort, have they heard of : Abatte Barihun, Abdu Kiar, Ashenafi Kebede, Abel Tesfaye, Alemayehu Eshete, Alemu Aga, Ali Birra, Asnaketch Worku.......

3 Hills Estate, Ogun State(Under construction 5000 housing units )

The 3-Hills estate is on a 170 hectares expanse of land along the Abeokuta expressway and shares a boundary with the new Government Model School under construction. It is designed as a Site and Services scheme and is strategically located at less than two minutes from the main Abeokuta township. The estate is only twenty minutes from the Sagamu interchange on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The 3-Hills estate is fully residential and includes support facilities such as a neighborhood centre consisting of a shopping mall and events center. The residential area would be developed to accommodate four different plot sizes to meet individual preferences. These comprise 625, 1200, 1500 and 1800 square metres.

Central Facilities within the Estate

* Events centre
* Shopping mall
* 9-hole golf course along a river
* Crèche and primary school
* Potable water supply
* 24-hour power and LPG gas supply
* Central sewage treatment plant
* Waste management services

AfroCircus:

You haven't given evidence to support your statement of Nigerian companies being all over, yet you ask for Kenyan companies'. I'll give an example in each sub-sector anyway

-kenolkobil is the largest downstream oil Company in the region with operations in 11 countries
-BIDCO, with operations in 16 countries is the largest producer, marketer and retailer of consumer goods in Africa
-Safal group is Africa's largest producer of steel roofing with operations in 11 countries.
-Kenya Airways is one of Africa's largest airline company with operations in almost every African capital (44 destinations in Africa, 54 in total)
-KCB and Equity, Kenya's largest banks have operations in 7 & 6 countries in Eastern Africa respectively
-Nakumatt and Uchumi the 2 largest retailers from Kenya have operations in 6 (mostly East African) countries
-EABL has installations in 6 countries in East and Southern Africa but sells it's products (mostly Tusker) as far as US and Australia
-Serena Hotels has luxury resort outlets in Eastern and Southern Africa and also in Central and South East Asia (Pakistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan with another planned for India)
-Britam group, à company offering insurance, asset management, banking and property investment has operations in 7 countries in Eastern and Southern Africa
-Centum investment Co, a holding Co dealing with virtually everything has operations in 10+ Countries all over the continent. It even owned Nigeria's African Capital Alliance but sold it's stake last year.
-Brookside dairies has installations and acquisitions in 8 nations including Nigeria

There are more I don't know but will add when I get to know them. You give Nigerian examples in as many sectors as you can.

Safal group vs Ladol, or vs GZI industries

Safal group is Africa's largest producer of steel roofing with operations in 11 countries.

Ladol LADOL are engaged in any of the following: Shipbuilding; Engineering, procurement and construction; Deepwater offshore exploration and production; Oil & gas services; Pipe coating; Steel construction, Mooring services; Vessel and rig repairs; and Training. Provide services to international and West Africa and International.

If you are not satisfied with that, then GZI industry will do.

GZ Industries is West Africa’s leading aluminum can manufacturer, expanding rapidly to sub saharan Africa.
Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya. shocked grin

Shipbuilding company all the way. grin

Kenya Airways vs Afrik air

Kenya Airways is one of Africa's largest airline company with operations in almost every African capital (44 destinations in Africa, 54 in total)

Afrik air with operations in 11 countries (America, London, Dubai and some African countries)

kenya airways wins here.

KCB kenya vs First Bank

KCB and Equity, Kenya's largest banks have operations in 7 & 6 countries in Eastern Africa respectively.

FirstBank is the biggest bank in Nigeria by total deposits and gross earnings and operates a network of over 750 business locations across Africa, the United Kingdom and representative offices in Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Johannesburg, South Africa, DR Congo, Ghana, Sierra Leon, Guinea, France and Senegal.

TKO First Bank wins grin

Equity Bank vs UBA Nigeria

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, is one of Africa's leading banking Groups with operations in 19 African countries and offices in three global financial centers: London, Paris and New York.

Another TKO. UBA wins

RUBBISH! Kenyans are entrepreneurial too. I personally am too busy daily making money legitimately. And contrary to your assertion, politics must be everyone's business everywhere --it doesn't matter if you say you have no political thoughts, its actions affect us all. I care enough not to elect an idiot into office so that their policies don't harm my bottom line.
