Hello everyone, I am new here and i need help from everyone in the house. I am a graduate of microbiology with no work experience though i finished nysc 2014 and husband is a medical doctor, works with state government (2 years now) we have two kids. Husbabd has been working with an NGO that gives free medical service to people, he has been working with them since he was in the university and still works with them. The problem is that they dont pay their doctors in the NGO because it is a voluntary thing and he has been the head of the doctors there. Now we want to move to australia via visa 189, but the problem is someone said we wld need tax clearance paper, though he wants to apply as a primary health care manager, he doesnt have pay slip or any payment form from the ngo(his name is on the top list of their doctors, has 3 awards from them, 2 from nigeria nd 1 from USA), can he use his current state tax clearance slip(works as a medical doctor in general hospital) And please if anyone can guide me tru on all our chances and all the steps to take. Thanks so much for taking out time to read. 1 Like |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by WestAfrican: 4:39pm On Nov 30, 2016 |
kagari:I believe you would get it same day. Make sure you go with originals and photocopies of all documents you wish to certify and don't forget to have some cash on you for payment of service rendered. |

WestAfrican:i just got info from my school to upload certified documents, i am applying for the feb batch, what is the possibility of getting admitted and processing for the visa before then, and i dont know if the english test is a prerequisite cause i havent done it yet 1 Like |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by WestAfrican: 4:51pm On Nov 30, 2016 |
kagari:You don't have to worry if school has not requested for ielts or any English test. Upload all the required documents as requested from your school and hope you get the accepted before the end of Dec then throw in all you documents for visa processing. Front load your medicals and other vital documents to avoid any delays. |

Thanks for the feedback. The Bank said what they can give me is a TRAVEL CARD. Please is TRAVEL CARD same as DOLLAR CARD? Can it also serve this purpose of paying for my OSHC? Thanks Solitin40: |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Nobody: 5:32pm On Nov 30, 2016 |
Please can you advise how I can make this payment to Australia. NOT 'FORM A' this time. The options they gave are 1) dollar card ie master or visa card and 2) PAYPAL. I neither have a domiciliary account nor a dollar card and I dont want to do black market because the rates are so high. I want to do it using bank's rate and its quite urgent. Although Ive spoken with a bank and they said what they can give me is a TRAVEL CARD to use. Is dollar card same as TRAVEL CARD? can TRAVEL CARD be used to pay for OSHC? I want to be very sure so I will not waste my money or get into trouble. This is urgent. A quick response will be highly appreciated. Thanks 1 Like |

kagari:when you say certification I believe you mean notarization...yours is taking longer probably because of what you mentioned above ...you should have taken your documents straight to a state high court , there are loads of notary officers/lawyers who will collect your documents , attach their seal and then stamp and return it back to you on your very before ...don't know why you went through all you listed above ...don't be shy to ask questions here ..would have saved you a lot |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Nobody: 5:50pm On Nov 30, 2016 |
ChosenCanadian:Yea ...it has different names for different banks , some call it pilgrim card ...once it's Dollar based , you can use it for your transactions ...health cover inclusive |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by WestAfrican: 5:55pm On Nov 30, 2016 |
ChosenCanadian: Travel money card should do the trick. Just make sure Australian Dollar is among the currency you could spend and that there is no limit on how much can be withdrawn per transaction. |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Nobody: 6:21pm On Nov 30, 2016 |
kagari:what type of visa are you applying for ?...there's no need to take your documents to the ministry for notarization if you have a nearby high court ... |

Here's the image: 'at the point of entering the details of the card before submitting to pay'. I'm sure if you see this image, you will have a better understanding of what I want to use it for and then tell if it is possible or not with TRAVEL CARD BADNEAT:

ChosenCanadian:seen , I'll like to believe that card operates under MasterCard ...but there's only one way to find out ...call your banks customer care directly ...don't depend on what you're told over the shelf at your branch. ..put a call across to you bank's cc. They'll be in a better position to furnish you with all the details about the card , the limitations and all that ..you can do that tomorrow morning |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by WestAfrican: 2:28am On Dec 01, 2016 |
ChosenCanadian:First of all your school is suppose to organize OSHC for new students and you can do the subsequent ones. Secondly, if your card has (debit master / visa) means every merchant online or efpos machines should accept it so long as you have sufficient fund in it. Sometimes there are default limit on amount that could be spend in a transaction or day, you need to double check with whoever is providing you with your debit card what restrictions are in place. Thirdly if you still decide to purchase your OSHC on your own, you could save more by purchasing from NIB (www.nib.com.au). All the best. |
