Something like dis almost happened to me last year in kwara state along post office, some guys approached me looking for wonder kola and promised to pay me 15k, a guy just appeared from nowhere saying he know the place that I should follow them so they would give me 15k. But as a correct Muslim guy I was already doing quranic invocations. I don't know what happened I just turned back never look back.

Same way two guys wanted to scam me on oshodi flyover because they saw I was carrying a laptop. They wanted touse exactly d same scheme as this guys

In other words Muslims are not susceptible?
Do not be deceived there are many scams that are designed by Muslims specially for Muslims and so on.Everybody get him size.
ANYTHING that involves payment for future reward is a scam until proven otherwise.Do not trust any person
One thing is definite there is no charm at work but susceptible people can be hypnotized or others when they realize how foolish they have been concoct a charm story to hide their shame.
People who do not believe in God are generally less susceptible to scams. God is the number ONE scam of all scams
I know many Alfas involved in scams and one Alhaji who was duped of millions and even sold his house to people using "arabic" cover as it turns out may Muslims in Nigeria do not speak or understand Arabic but subscribe foolishly too the notion that Allah speaks Arabic. They tell you Ibrahim was the first Muslim and have no idea he never spoke Arabic.

Anyway none of them are as bad as the official scammers like Enoch Adeboye and Chris Oyakhilome etc

I had a similar experience@17 in anambra ,I wanted to go to market with bike,as I saw a parked okada rider I negotiated price with him he told me to enter ,I entered he started d bike Buh wouldn't move he kept looking back.as I was wondering what he is looking at ,a guy approached me telling me DAT he came from Cameroon DAT he is looking for so so n so plaza.Buh coz I have had d stories b4 I knew he was a scammer Buh didn't know d okadaman was with him,i said no n so I told d okada man DAT he should get moving and take me out of there.he started his bike and as we were moving he asked me did I know who d guy was I said yes DAT he is a 419/scammer.the okada man disagreed saying that d guy is a businessman from Cameroon. At DAT very moment i understood all d equations,I knew d okadaman was 1 of dem.den without thinking twice I thrust my hands on d seat and jumped down from d moving motorcycle. I was lucky dia wasn't any moving vehicle approaching.DAT day was lyk nollywood to me.

So sorry about the scam. People are really being proactive in a bad ways in order to overcome economic hardship currently bedeviling our dear nation. However, we all need to be circumspect about our relationship with strangers and strange circumstances.

I hardly talk to strangers and that was how I escaped one in 2008 inside a taxi. I guess they felt I was deaf and dump cos it's same tactics use but I never uttered a single word till I told them to drop me.
