Uche Eucharia as player won it when still home and away format not tournament format as it is. It wasn't called AWCON then. Thats why it's regarded as 10 tournaments so far instead of 12. The first 2 trophies Nig won had Eucharia as winner then.

Yeah you are right, sadly we were outplayed in this particular tournament but it wasn't always like that. In 2014 and in the other tournaments we were hardly outplayed by any team even when we lost. Africa is tired of seeing Nigeria win this trophy, so we may no longer outplay teams like before. Nigeria has an intimidating head to head record over all the powerhouses except Equatorial Guinea, but Equatorial Guinea team is not as consistent as Cameroon, Ghana, South Africa.
