Oftentimes, heaviness starts out as a little care or concern. What begins as a small burden grows and grows. Then, you start taking on responsibilities that aren't yours. You start thinking that you have to keep everyone around you happy, or you start worrying about things in the future. All of this piled on becomes very heavy on your heart and mind.

The Bible says that heaviness is actually a spirit. The goal of heaviness is to distract you and get you off track. Heaviness tries to keep your head down so that you can't even look up to the heavens—the place from where your help comes.

Heaviness tries to wear you out and take the place of God's spirit, but do you know what chases that spirit of heaviness away? Praise and thanksgiving. Scripture says that God inhabits the praises of His people.

He literally comes into our praise and works! When you start praising, God shows up in your midst and every negative spirit has to flee!

*If you have heaviness on you today, if you feel trapped, overwhelmed, discouraged, frustrated or anxious, there is only one thing you need to do, and that is to open your mouth and praise Almighty God! Even if it's difficult, even if you don't feel like it, just open your mouth and begin to declare His goodness.*

Sometimes we have to stir ourselves up in the things of God. Sometimes we have to get our flesh to obey the Word of God so we can see the breakthrough in the supernatural realm.

Today, put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:3). Set your heart and mind on the Father. Instead of focusing on your problems, focus on your God.


*Don't let worry get you stuck, but let praise get you through! Enter His gates with thanksgiving, shake off heaviness and embrace the peace, joy and victory God has prepared for you!*

Im Lanre, a 2-1: sociology graduated 2014 and dispatched NYSC 2015ABatch. Sincerely this are hard times for everyone out there. Even got admission for postgraduate studies(need proof of admission letter), would forward that to you but sir the question is where is the fund to work that out. Had to defer that now but my priority now is getting a job to be financially buoyant to sort that out.

Hello nairalanders...I am a graduate but yet to collect my certificate due to some financial cases, I schooled at Houdegbe North American University Benin REPUBLIC & studied Business Administration... My problems started in January when Naira started Depreciating , We Nigerians pay according to exchange rate, my school fees as at normal Exchange rate was 130000 naira per semester , (1000 naira = 3000CFA) ... Everything changed when Buhari too over, which made the exchange rate currently became 1.3 to 1naira (1000naira = 1300CFA) you can see the margin.... to cut story short, I didn't complete my school fees which am still owing huge amount my parents have tried, my dad's business is going down drastically...

Bro, being in Benin won't help matters o. Had to leave Dec last year to Lagos. I haven't gotten a job but we survive for Street. If you can drive and you have whee to stay in Lagos, try Uber Nigeria

I get rounds of depression for not living up to my own expectations owed to not securing a job.In as much as I am a graduate of a reputable Federal University, I would have loved to learn a skill but how do I feed, cloth as I am currently living with my younger brother in his lodge. I feel so beneath myself. I have been suicidal before because I have failed repeatedly in interviews that I am scared of my own skin. No help from anywhere that I have even thought of serving a mason once to survive

I've been out of service since last month, I have a flair for writing, a graduate of microbiology from one of the State's Universities, being out of school and unemployed has been hellish, I'd have applied for post graduate studies, but all forms are on hold till next year. It's not easy staying with your parents as a graduate without you have any source of income. It's very frustrating.

Bro keeping thanking God and be prayerful always. I understand your plight, but all the same thank God u still have a roof over your head and u can at least eat 3 square meal daily, God will perfect everything very soon he never fails, I hope to read your testimony soon am iam preparing to share mine with you.

I'm a graduate of History and int'l relations 2.2, every since I passed out from service life have not just become miserable for me. But it have turn to a hell.
#1: my present location is a Village and am here coz I have no one I can live with in any city irrespective of where. so I wake up only to face the bushes in my village. no source of motivation. Nowhere to go to, not even a good food to eat!

#2: I'm willing to do just any type of work just to make a living be it menial or a good job, but none is coming my way as result of my environment.

#3: last month I nearly committed suicide because of all this that am going thru, My gf whom I tot I've found a wife in, left me and my World have been shambles. As an writing this. am soaked in tears coz I dunno which way am heading and am so afraid of ending up here in the village as a nobody. If anyone can help me atlast get out if this village, I can do any form of job just to make a living. I will be glad. here's my whatapp number 07032425728

Why don't you consider dabbling into agriculture? With your education, you can do it in a modernized way, quite different from the rural folks. Start small with waterver you have and thank me later.
