MtuMsuper: let me just hope that our fight with eritreans will stop. But its obvious that fight between any two separated countries is very very hard to solve. But by the way, I never did fight with any Eritreans and Egyptians. I just wanted to answer your question. |

Actually 55% of households is quite something. Kenya is increasing its power has a plan that by 2020 everyone should be connected. The number of customers currently being connected to the national electricity grid is growing by an average rate of 30 per cent a year, energy distributor, Kenya Power has confirmed. In line with these advances, the government has stated that it was well within its target of connecting every consumer to the grid by the year 2020. http://x254.co/kenya-power-on-track-to-connect-every-consumer-to-grid-by-2020/ Actually you can apply online to have your house get connected http://www.kenyapower.co.ke/online-application/ sample form 1 Like

solbil:NIGERIA IS A SERIOUS JOKE Hahaha.... joker. I know you are so used to Nigerian mediocrity that you assume any other African country is as shitty as Nigeria. There are three major dams in Niger State, Nigeria. The Kainji Dam built in 1968, Jebba Dam built in 1985 and Shiroro Dam built in 1990. A fourth dam is being built at Zungeru, also in Niger State but has failed due to acute corruption. These are all hydroelectric dams and generate only a potential combined power output of 1,900 megawatts. http://www.powerengineeringint.com/articles/2016/04/two-more-power-plants-shut-down-in-nigeria-worsening-power-crisis.html Two more power plants shut down in Nigeria, worsening power crisis Nigeria’s power crisis has worsened with the shutdown of two more power plants, bringing the total number of plants offline to ten. The 1020 MW gas-fired Sapele plant in Delta state (pictured) and the 600 MW Shiroro hydroelectric plant in Niger state were shut down on Tuesday. According to Nigerian media reports, the power to one unit at the Shiroro plant was tripped, triggering an emergency shutdown, while two other units are offline for repairs and a fourth is offline for maintenance. At the four-unit Sapele plant, one gas turbine is reportedly offline for maintenance, another is offline while the Nigerian Gas Company undertakes unspecified work, and two units are sidelined due to gas constraints. Meanwhile, generation at the 1320 MW Egbin power plant, Nigeria’s largest, was limited to 415 MW on Tuesday due to gas constraints, down from 1085 MW on March 15. The country’s power generation on Tuesday totalled 2775 MW, down from 3657.5 MW on 31 March, with many regions experiencing total blackout. The Ethiopia that you are talking negatively of is years ahead of Nigerian rotten systems ETHIOPIA Electricity In 2009 less than 10% of Ethiopians had access to electricity and the country was plagued by power outages. In order to overcome this situation, the government has embarked on an ambitious dam building program. Three hydropower plants with a combined capacity of 1.18 GW were commissioned in 2009 and 2010 alone, more than doubling the previous installed capacity of the country. The largest hydroelectric plant in Ethiopia, Beles, began initial operation in May 2010. Contracts for five more large dams have been signed. Once completed, which is expected to be around 2015, these dams would increase the installed capacity by more than 11 GW from less than 1 GW in 2008. The construction of more large dams is foreseen in a Master Plan that aims to bring capacity to 15 GW. ETHIOPIA/ERITREA LIGHT RAIL http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-37562177 It links Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa, to the Red Sea port of Djibouti - a stretch of more than 750km (466 miles). Travelling at 120km/h, the new service cuts the journey time down from three days by road to about 12 hours. The $3.4bn (£2.7bn) project was built with the help of funding from a Chinese bank and will have Chinese staff. ERITREA As of August 2003 the government was constructing additional electrical distribution lines. In 2002, net electricity generation was 243 GWh, of which 100% came from fossil fuels. In the same year, consumption of electricity totaled 226 GWh. As of August 2003, Eritrea had about 60 MW of diesel-fired generating capacity.

Ednite: Great response. But do u mean Eritereans actually believe that they are Arabs? They don't see themselves as black people? Pls correct me if am wrong, i know Tigrinyas to be the largest group in Eriterea and most of them are christians, how could they fall for such? I think there must have been other issues. Dnt mind my curiousity, am a student of history so i really wish to learn. I also know that some Tigrinya people are still part of Ethiopia, do the Tigrinyas in Ethiopia also fight with the ones in Eriterea? Or they also wish to leave Ethiopia and join their brothers in Eriterea? Do the Tigrinya people consider themselves Habeshas too just like u Amharas? |

PissedYagami: You mean ppl like this still exist in Africa? We in West Africa dont have such savage and uncivilized homo sapiens. Can't u guys do sth about that? The last nomadic people we have in Nigeria (the fulani mbororo), infact most of them are not Nigerians but from Niger, Mali e.t.c. However, our govt is working seriously on nomadic education to integrate them into the society as full time educated ranch farmers, but it seems like in Kenya it is the other way round and just like Ethiopia and their savage omotic speakers, u guys are using the Masai people for tourism purposes. How do u guys think the white people and the outside world will keep on seeing Africa when people still drink Animal blood? Jesus! |

ianSweet: They love their culture a looooot. Some go to school and become prominent. Like the recent Tanzanian election the opposition candidate, who lost, Lowasa, is a Masai. Trust me, Masai are a cultural emblem. That is why there is a Masai shield on our flag, some symbolism |

PissedYagami: This is one of the dumbest words i'v heard in my life! So you allow these people to keep on living in the stone age while u guys enjoy the comfort of modern life, just because u earn good cash from foreigners watching them? Nigeria has never had tourism at heart at the federal level, but just one state in Nigeria (Cross River state) decided to invest in tourism and the state now hosts Africa's biggest street carnival where cultures are displayed to the fullest which attracts millions of viewers. Allowing barbarism and savagery in the 21st century is not the best way to promote tourism. Civilisation does not take away your cultural elements away from u unless u allow it. Nigerian Calabar carnival below.
