The requirements :

1. To be eligible for admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy, a candidate must have the following:

Minimum of 5 Credit passes at SSCE (WAEC or NECO or NABTEB) or GCE O/L obtained in not more than 2 sittings relevant to the Faculty of their choices.
Credit in English Language and Mathematics.
At least one supporting relevant credit to the compulsory credits in faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Faculty of Science. However, only one supporting relevant credit is required in the Faculty of Engineering.
Be at least 17 years old and not more than 21 years old at the time of entry into the Academy. Note that Nigerian Airforce candidates must be between 17 and 18years old at entry.
Must not be less than 1.68 metres tall for male and 1.50 metres for female.
Must be medically and physically fit and must be of good moral character.
Must be single male or female without legal obligation to support any child or other individuals.
Present a Certificate of Origin obtained from a Local Government Area and a Certificate of State indigene ship from the Office of the State Governor is desirable.

2. Furthermore, candidates are to note the following:

Awaiting results are not qualified. Results not submitted with the application for will not be accepted.
Only examination results of 5 years from date will be accepted.
Currently, admission into the academy is for both male and female Nigerians only.

NDA 69th Regular Course Method of Application.

Applicants should purchase the Nda Rc pin code at the rate of #3,000 only and proceed online for registration along with your credentials and passport & Applicants applying for admission into NDA MUST also apply the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB), but may not necessarily select NDA as their choice of university. Such applicants are expected to sit for the JAMB Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) .


EXAMINATION CONDITIONS:

Only candidates who meet the JAMB national cutoff mark will be eligible to sit for the NDA Entrance Examination at their Examination Centre of choice.

NATURE AND DURATION OF TRAINING

Admitted candidates into NDA for the Regular Course will undergo military and academic training as Officer Cadets for a duration of 5 years. On successful completion of training, graduates will earn a honours degree in a core discipline (BSc, BEng, BA). They will equally earn a commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

In response to requests from candidates for reference materials, the Academy has offered a Compendium of Past Questions & Answers from 2000 to 2016 at a token fee to interested candidates.

Apart from flattery, am a very good and a brilliant boy. I became the best English student in all private schools, Ekiti State in the year 2013...
Although, as a science student, am much in love with English, arts and becoming a commissioned military officer has been my dream since childhood.
I have the compedium, jamb questions, and the guide video on the academy but I know things don't work out the way we civilians see it. That's why am doing this, guys please... Your advice please

USA military makes wears(camouflage) and sell to the citizens, but here, all they know is to behave like dogs. Mind you, I haven't been a victim but what sense does it makes to oppress the people you are to protect. A lot of fresh NDA graduates who were posted to Maiduguri are there on list but not physically, all they know is to flex muscle to civilians and grow to become Generals with big bellies. Arrant Nonsense!

I'm saying all these because, so many of you have it @ the back of your mind that: when you come back home, people will fear you, you will oppress and get almost everything you want from civilians. Change your O.T. " you are called to serve!" not to oppress. How often do you hear of US, UK, etc military doing like the way you guys do? Instead, they are ready to sacrifice a lot for civilians... I have been to other countries in Africa, military men are selfless in their service. Nigeria military check points are semi-dead zones, why? #think about these things. #called the service not to oppress.

(a) wears any part of the uniform of, or
(b) wears any garb resembling any part of the uniform of, a person serving in the armed forces of Nigeria, or a member of the police forces,
is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable to imprisonment for one year.

110 Any person who- Unlawfully wearing the uniform of forces, etc. L.N. 112 of 1964. 1967 No. 27.

The Academy drills its cadets and mind you its only clowns after their first four months training from civilian nature to military that tend to show some aggression and flex muscles and it is now cautioned to minimum as the academy are seiving them off by dismissing cadets who tarnish the army image by such acts ,all is being taken into consideration ...God bless you as you choose to learn peoples reason behind their actions ,that is the power of understanding ,being unbiased and wisdom !!!

and you think I don't know all you've mentioned? Smiles* why not address the issues of harrassing civilians? Why no mention UK, and other reasonable EU country involve in the deluded act Nigeria military get involve in? Why no address what I said about aspirants and cadets having a negative attitude upon getting enlisted or commissioning? Why not address the pot belly issue?.... You know they are true. By the time you get admitted, and probably or let me say lucky enough to graduate, you will know the military is now semi slaves to senators and others. Even top ranked military officers aspires to retire and come into politics, lol.... That's why they will do almost anything to please the top politicians. The dignity is now in oppressing civilians. On my last attempt, the commandant son came, and they had to cancel the time required for the race because of "him". Cadets there can explain better. For those that will be admitted, try and change the O.T. So many cadets die, not as a result of the training but due to those idiots that call themselves seniors, they make them go through body damaging punishments. Make enquiries about how they roll in US military academy as well as those in the EU. Once again, to hell with Nigeria military, they are more corrupt than civilians.
