What Is The Best Job For A Man by Nobody: 7:15pm On Dec 25, 2016
Is there any good job where a man can work, make enough money for his family's upkeep and still have enough time for his wife and time to raise his kids along with his spouse?

Hi,
I often wonder that myself. It seems like there has to be a balance or sacrifice somewhere. It depends on what your definition is of "make enough money for his family's upkeep"? See, there are "needs' and "wants". It takes a tremendous amount of self-control to live modestly...(what one needs) as opposed to extravagantly (what one wants).
In the U.S. it is a material-driven society where everyone is competing to make the most money in order to have the "finer things in life." That often includes a working week of about 50-60 hours a week...in order to build or maintain a certain lifestyle. The children, most oftentimes, suffer the most due to the lack of one parent (rather than two) taking part in their upbringing. Either the man continues working obsessive hours (in order to maintain a glamorous lifestyle OR he decreases the work hours so that he can help his spouse raise the kids...).
If a man has a demanding job, he might need to decrease the hours so that he can spend time with his family...that being the more important of the two choices above.
Just my two cents....

Hmmm...

Exam question...

Maybe Santa Claus?

He gets to work only one or two days in a year. Perfect job I'll say.

If you won't have her time, then why engage in a relationship with her?

In Nigeria, many people don't have the luxury of decreasing the hours they spend on their jobs as employees. It's quite different here

Their spouses/partners suffer, it's not ideal

I find that many doctors who work in government owned hospitals have more time than those who work in privately owned hospitals here in Nigeria or you can ultimately sacrifice your profession for your spouse and kids then maybe look for another lucrative job? I wonder if this can ever happen here though

Nooo I don't think so smiley , as long as he has another good job that takes less of his time no one will insult him. Every child and wife wants to have enough time with him.

Yeah a man can be a porn star. He can make more than 1000 dollars a video and still have enough time for his family.

So the hours increase & the pay decreases? Is the pay not enough for a man to support his family? Or does that depend on the number of children and/or wives (if he has multiple ones) that he has?
I'm just inquiring..because I don't know & am wondering if there's a solution?

In some companies here over time is not optional it's part of the Job description this is worsened by the current situation in the country as there's high inflation rate and some workers are actually being shortchanged. It's possible to get a job that meets your needs and it helps when the kids are few
