Pwhitelaw:Dude. I'll be downright blunt 1. You still are not taking responsibility for you actions. Still blaming the agent... 2. The fact that you are thinking of many options shows you have not learnt; The only option is to own up to your lie. You were not married. You had no kids. Shikena Peraventure you now actuallu marry, you fill in her correct details. U cannot pass her off as the fake wife u created cos the names and other data can never match. Finally. Why are you reapplying? What is the real change in your circumstance? Serzly. IMO, wait for 6 months after your real marriage. 1 Like |

bravedude:Its a matter of choice. Most folks pick florida cos its the easiest they can come up with s a reason. Hawaii is good though the flights are more expensive. Likewise the hotels. Lots to do. Lots to see. Lots of island food to eat. U just gotta know what you will do there for interview purposes 2 Likes 1 Share |

ttmacoy: I prefer Hawaii as my son is just 1year old.Was just wondering because I haven't seen anyone on this forum having Hawaii as his or her tourist destination. |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by ttmacoy: 11:35am On Dec 27, 2016 |
Well it may be because Hawaii is more expensive and also further out from Nigeria because it's in the west coast so tickets will be expensive. E.g. Lagos to Miami direct will be about 13 hours while lagos to Honolulu direct will be about 20 hours, and by the time you consider the fact there are no direct flights from lagos which means you will be travelling for a long time, you have to consider how that will work with a little kid. Also additional cost of getting to the island you want to go if not Honolulu. I was planning a trip with my daughter from Chicago to Hawaii but gave it up after realising it was a 9 hour flight with a 5 time difference. Decided on San Juan in Puerto Rico instead as only about 3 hour flight. bravedude: 1 Like |

Lady G,Frontpagelawyer and Co... Please I need you to advice me on this; Is it possible for me to edit my submitted DS160 form? I actually want to change the reason of visiting United State. If possible, what is the procedure and what is the Implication on my profile and what are chances of granting me visa? My appointment is schedule second week of January. Waiting patiently for your swift response. Regards. |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by seyewest(m): 4:10pm On Dec 27, 2016 |
cydophobia:You can write the embassy with a new ds160 number if you want to change it from your profile. |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by LadyGuinivere: 5:36pm On Dec 27, 2016 |
@cydophobia 1. Fill a new ds 160 2. Email the embassy. Send the new and old numbers and ask them to edit The rest will now be a back and forth between you and the embassy |

@cydophobia The Visa officer abujaniv has answered your question on their section. Do you not believe what you have been told? Or would you rather take advice from a stranger here than a visa official? Re: U.S. Non-immigrant Visas: We’re Listening by abujaniv: 2:33pm Explain the change at your interview. We don't discuss chances on this thread. |

Good day @ladyguinivere @all, greetings and pls I need your advice. I plan to honestly visit my only surviving uncle in the US (Maryland) who is sick and on dialysis but I don't know how to go about my application due to some points. 1. I am a 29 year old single medical doctor working in Saudi Arabia (legal resident) but on a 2months holiday in Nigeria till February. I have visited UK, brazil, South Africa and Nepal all for Medical Conferences and never broke any law. My worry here is how to demonstrate ties to Nigeria as I want to apply from Nigeria since I am on vacation here. Is this possible and allowed 2. I don't know my chances if I apply from Saudi Arabia as there have been worrying concerns about Saudi due to terrorism and security threat, Infact my UK renewal a few months ago for a sept conference was denied on very flimsy excuses. (I think the western world are very careful about them now for political reasons) 3. I have been denied US visa 3 times on my first passport as a teenager between 15 - 20 yrs which I still have the passport. My dad made those applications then when he was alive and cant remember the exact causes of denial (I know at one point young age was the reason) Please I need your suggestions and best advices because my honest plan is to visit for a week and come back to Nigeria to meet my return flight back to Saudi where I work. God bless you all! |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by seyewest(m): 7:16pm On Dec 27, 2016 |
esosa4real: @Esosa As far as I know not everybody in Saudi are terrorist and I believe that some of your ties are in Saudi Arabia I'm sure you will have one or 2 ties in Nigeria and as a doctor I think it's easier for you to apply in Nigeria but you may need letter from your work place and also get it right with your interview... Your previous refusal (When you're underage) should have little to do with your new application. At the end of the day you will decide if Saudi Arabia or Nigeria is the best place to apply for U.S visa. |

Hello, Please I have filled the ds-160 online but it seems not all the questions displayed. Example the question " have you ever travelled before didn't not displayed, have you made specific travel arrangements didn't displayed and also the question have you completed senior high school or above didn't not displayed. After I finished filling the displayed questions I was able to submit it without those questions I mentioned. Please is it usual.v |

esosa4real:1. how often do u visit Nigeria? 2. do u have family here in Nigeria , or properties or business etc... to prove as ties? 3. ur travel history is OK, so just prove to the Embassy DAT ur business in Saudi Arabia is strictly professional. 4. pray a lot b4 u go, sometimes pple underestimate visa approval becos dey feel comfortable with wat dey ve. I wish u good luck ( tho I denied dis month but then, am looking forward visiting oda places, so I thank them for dis opportunity, wen next I visit they must approve) |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by LadyGuinivere: 7:10am On Dec 28, 2016 |
@Esosa I agree with points 1-4 of godiloveu posts. You just have to lead the interviwer to your strong ties. Find a way of mentioning your parents, grandparents, naija projects etc. Since the last refusal, you have had a tremendous change in your circumstance. Again, you may need to be prepared to answer for why you are applying from here... God's grace |

Godiloveu: As in, even with my travel history and clear intent I am not comfortable mehn! I am even considering forgetting the whole process! Maybe I should wait and get married. 1. I have worked in Saudi for just 1 year and this is my first vacation (plans to be once a year) 2. I don't have my own family as I am single but recently got engaged, planning to marry in my next vacation which will be next year. I don't have any businesses here in Nigeria except inherited property land still in my dads name. @ladyguinivere Please have you encountered others who work outside Nigeria but applied from Nigeria? What's the best professional excuse to give in your own opinion? I doubt leading the VO on by mentioning my parents, grandparents, naija projects are not strong enough. it is well! |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by esosa4real(m): 1:22pm On Dec 28, 2016 |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by esosa4real(m): 3:38pm On Dec 28, 2016 |
seyewest: Okay thanks, just a quick one... 1. can I get an appointment date within the next 2weeks in Lagos or abuja, if I apply now? My stipulated time of travel is February 2nd. 2. Does my uncle need to state that he is sick with kidney disease in his Invitation letter and also provide evidences?? This wont be a problem but I don't want them to misinterpret my intentions or sympathize with me wrongly by denial...lol. 3. My mum will also be travelling and has a US visa issued last year, should I indicate that and provide a scan of her Visa? 4. Just incase making this application proves difficult now within this short period of time, and I decide that my travel date is June (is this allowed/possible?). I mean can I still attend a visa interview for planned travel in June? And that would mean that I will be travelling from Saudi Arabia. If this is the case, I am entitled to another two weeks leave but that letter will only be given to me when I return back to saudi Thanks yall, please need your iputs and suggestions! |
