You asked this same question several times before.
You have also asked the visa officer.

We do dot have a crystal ball to answer this.
You must contact the embassy for facts.

@ladyguinivere Please have you encountered others who work outside Nigeria but applied from Nigeria? What's the best professional excuse to give in your own opinion?
I doubt leading the VO on by mentioning my parents, grandparents, naija projects are not strong enough.

it is well!
I believe some people have applied from Nigeria. A little. Research would go a long way. Somebody recently posted and his strong ties was his mother.
As for excuse, I can't help with that cos that would be making up stories. I'm sure there's a truthful reason why u want to apply in Nigeria. If you feel its because you believe your chances for sucess is higher, by all means say that. Those honest answers are what gets a vo's attention

1. Check the first page of this thread
2. Or the US embassy website
3. Or google
Not every question should be asked. You can actually find out some things by yourself

I understand you perfectly sha...

also, can I state about the hostility of Saudi Arabia? For example, it is difficult to get your International passport in your hands. As soon as you are in Saudi soil, the employer takes your passport and holds in his possession till its vacation time again so this is my best chance/time to apply for us visa. I will just state the truth.

I will apply by Jan 11th with an intention of travelling on Jan 20th and return 30th January. Hope no eyebrows about timing?

lastly can I mention that my mum and I will visit him? if so wIll the vo need her flight itinerary and visa page?

Thanks for your advices.

Please what are the procedure for applying a visit visa for my mum to come do omugwo? I'm an LPR and my husband is a citizen. She is not coming to stay ,just do omugwo and go. I will be her sponsor, what supporting documents does she need? I'm less than two years here but filed 2015 tax together with my husband. Please what represent proof of financial backing, is it tax returns or bank balance? Someone should enlighten me. Thanks. Let's I forget, she already got her passport.

Femi there is a way you can update your CGI appointment when you long into it you can change your DS 160 to the recent or new one you created. It happen to me I mistakenly fill 16 pages to my passport page instead of 32 pages Passport. So I fill a new D's 160 then Sign on my CGI appointment platform I choose update profile and I delete the old D's 160 and put the new one then reprint the Appointment page with the new DS 160 number on it.

Hi, I will like to share the transcript of my interview that took place in August- I was denied... I have few questions too, please bare with me.

ist time experience. After the long queue, and crossing the road from one building to another, I was dehydrated and was getting tired.
Lagos, 9am last cubicle to the left, a German-looking lady, no smile, no chills.

me: Good morning / vo: good morning
vo: pass me your passport (I pass am)
few seconds passes
vo: where you dey go? / me: Im attending a film fest in Long Beach, Cali
she opens my passport, looks at the visa I had on it before for a while (Na Tanzania). Cant remember if she asked if I've traveled before...
Vo: you don marry? / me: yes, I am
vo: any pikin? / me: No, we are expecting
she no look my face. type, type, type... she pulls out the ugly blue paper and passes it with my passport
vo: sorry your visa can not be approved at this time, but you can reapply anytime.
me: thank you (with the fakest smile in the world)
N34,600 visa fee, just like that? Na hin I throw her my own puppy-eye polite question
me: Sorry, but may I really know why my application was refused? (I don turn to vo)
vo: the paper explains it. (she paused and thought she should just be nice for once, me sef tanda...she continues) "You are still building" you are welcome to reapply anytime.

Question A
Please, what could it be that I'm building? confidence or ties? (I knew I was apprehensive during the interview though)

(i mentioned her comment when I was filling this recent form under the "have you been denied before" session)
---------->>>Fast forward

I didn't know much of this thread then but now, I applied to attend a film festival in Feb, my appointment is in couple of weeks.
I haven't paid for the festival yet though because I had trouble getting a refund from the festival I wanted to attend that August which the visa application was denied

Questions B:
1. Can I change my hotel reservation prior my interview? I got a more affordable hotel; obviously the address is now different from the one I stated in my DS-160.
2. In my previous application (which I was denied) I didn't add a particular previous job experience (complete oversight)... I added it this time, hope it won't raise any brows as to why I didn't add it before.
3. Is it advisable to pend paying for the festival till the outcome of my interview (Don't know if they'll contact the organizers to inquire my attendance)
4. I may look bad asking this but, I intend to extend my stay from the number of days I've stated in my DS, but not beyond the 6 months so as not to be labeled illegal... (Purpose - I have skills in filmmaking, so I want to test the water and raise small cash before coming home. Will this extension cause future harm to me revisiting US in the future. (I get confidence say I dey collect this visa this time sha).

@Lady GridIron, FPLawyer, SeyeWesty & rest, I need your opinion and advice. I've been reading this thread pass my bible lately and I'll share my transcript be as it may after my interview.

Pray for me... gbadura funmi...

I don't think it matters if you fill it or not. I know couple of peeps that didn't and still had a successful interview.
Go and have a wonderful interview. All the best.
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by LadyGuinivere: 6:04am On Dec 30, 2016
@Ralphoosa, I'll stary from the last point
4. Your visa does not allow you to work or raise cash. Your plan is illegal
3. Conferences may be paid or unpaid for. There has been no difference in outcome statistically speaking either way.
2. The job you forgot to fill, is it the truth? That is what counts. I always flinch when I see questions like ' I hope I won't be questioned on a' or 'hope b won't raise eyebrows'.
You are going for an interview and should be ready to answer ANY question honestly. If your ds 160 was filled honestly, then you can defend the details any Time.
1. You may change your hotel. Just exlain that at the interview.

A. IMO, she meant your ties. Now I ask, between August and now, has the bun in the oven finished baking. A new kid is a change in circumstance. If you guys are 'still expecting' then do nor reapply. #myopinion

Good morning nairalanders, please I applied for a job online in a company located in the US, the name of the company is gray matter elite. I applied for the post of marketing sales coordinator. The company messaged me today that my application has been successful and I am scheduled for an interview with the company. I need to send them an email now, what should my email look like? Is it that I should tell them they should send a letter to the embassy here in Nigeria requesting me for an interview. Please I need your help. Thanks

4 My bad, however; I will like to take a lil bit more time to network & make best use of my visit... is staying more than stipulated days illegal?

3 ok, I'll explain if asked

2. Yup, it was the job I had before the most recent old job. I've been running my business even whilst working in those places but left the last job this January. Experience - 6years+ independent after resignation 1 year in January.

1. Will print both reservations and slide it in... If asked.

A
I see it was my fault with the use of word, what I meant 'expecting' - my wife was heavy at the time & vo must have not understood. Happily, we had our daughter in October.

Really, you are trying a lot to answer everyone's questions. God go butter your bread and answer your own life questions too.
Thanks again
