amnesty7: You got it wrong there. Nigeria's market size is not equivalent to its population but rather to the size of the population that has got the purchasing power. Can Honda come and establish a plant in Nigeria because their population is almost 200M when SA with a much smaller population presents a bigger market for their product? How many Nigerians can afford to buy a new Honda? I'm sorry, Nigeria doesn't have a big market size, except for basics like rice and bathroom slippers. 8 Likes 1 Share |

This is nonsense and I bet you this is what will be presented after the count next year. The K-state of kano, kaduna, kaduna, kebbi put together cannot be more populated than Lagos. Kano alone is least populated than Enugu. Now their orchestrated plan of dominance has been achieved and they feel they can do and undo, but lets see how it goes. 1 Like |

kettle84: The UN and Lagos State Government are not stupid. Just do a simple google search for 'estimated population of Lagos' and tell me what you find. Most Nigerian states have large stretches of grassland and uninhabited zones. Lagos doesn't have that, every single inch of Lagos is inhabited with a very high density. 4 Likes |

WomanOfRace:I don't know where you are chatting from but it seems you don't know what you are saying Yoruba maximum children are four we have no obsession for male children so not every one wants to born ten female and still search for male child the only reason Yorubas give birth to many children is Marrying multiple wife each one might give birth to 3,4 or 5 only igbo marries one lady and give birth to ten children. In fact even in one room when there no male child yet they would litter the compound with children. Last time I ask one Imo state villager she told only her mum gave birth to twelve while she is willing to make her own ten 2 Likes |

tbarrister:I am a health worker in a Northern hospital. Things are casualties, diseases in the state I work, I know that very well. Diseases perish people in the north. Kano state can never be more populous than Lagos state. I have been to both states. Nigeria is a lie. So, nothing in Nigeria is true. 3 Likes |

Mere looking at this thread u see why Nigeria can never work. Most yorubas challeging the estimate are doing so because NBS says kano is bigger than lagos not the fact that kano's estimate was inflated. If kano is put at 18million and lagos is put at 20million by same NBS the figure will become "right" to them, any inflation that may occur notwithstanding. This summarizes SW position on national issues. Injustice from the north is injustice to them but when they begin to benefit from same injustice they attempt to explain why it is really "right" 8 Likes 1 Share |

How can Kano have more people than Lagos? Judging by the number of aboki's I've been seeing in Lagos recently, I'd say the figures were conjured from the minds of those who wanted to conjure them. What industry or commerce does Kano state even have, compare to Lagos? Lies, lies and more lies. I won't be surprised this is an attempt to falsify next year's population census. 3 Likes |

zizirecords: May be the people of Lagos moved to Kano ! They used to tell us that Kano was bigger that Lagos before it was split into Kano and Jigawa. So after Jigawa was carved out , Kano doubled again? Political figure!! UN knows better the population of Nigeria as well as other countries. They use scientific means not political. I believed the UN Lagos estimate of 22m 7 Likes |

zizirecords:it is true that Lagos has a huge population but certainly can't be 22million or else the people can't survive due to the small land mass of the place. |
