Its not about helping him financially...its about insulting him. And not respecting him.
Ur gals are very insulting that's why even Yoruba men run away from them and go for Edo and igbo or delta women.. Even OAP freeze ur brother confirmed it.

And mind u... I don't dat Yoruba women and will Neva. I just bleep them and go my way wen I feel like... I DONT WANT A SITUATION WHERE A GAL WILL INSULT ME COZ I WILL BEAT YHE HELL OUT OF HER... SO ITs BETTER I AVIOD IT.
YORUBA WOMEN ARE BAD MARKET EVEN YORUBA MEN KNOWS THAT

You have jumped to conclusions without even bothering to address the fact. Where in my post did I ever say I was Yoruba? shocked I only made a comment, because I have lived in Lagos most of my life, and I have Yoruba friends, acquaintances etc. I even have relatives married to Yoruba women, and these women are really respectful and supportive of their husbands. undecided

A woman having a bad character or insulting her husband has really little to do with her tribe, and everything to do with her character. Heck, I have seen quite a number of Igbo women insult their husbands too whenever they fight, but should I conclude that all Igbo women are like that? shocked no. Let go of your tribal hatred bro'. Am sure if a Yoruba man offered you money, you would take it. So stop the posturing, abeg. Good, bad and ugly people, exist in all tribes.

laudate, igbos have the highest rate of intertribal marriages in Nigeria. This is a known fact.

Our parents were alive during the Biafra War but never talk to us about it. Igbos live in all parts of the country and often marry among the people in those parts.

Have u tried to go and marry from the HausaFulani? Go and try it first.

Secondly, read the bolded, she is yoruba O

Again, I ask you - did you conduct a survey to ascertain that Igbos have the highest rate of inter-tribal marriage? So why are you passing off conjecture and hearsay as fact? From Anambra, to Imo, Abia, Ebonyi etc, did you conduct a census to determine the number of Igbo people married to non-Igbo, and then use this to plot a graph as part of your demographic studies on other tribes?

Hausa-Fulani marriages or tribes are NOT the subject of this topic, so please do not derail the thread.

hammerT:
@ laudate That does not make ur neighbour a bad person. If a Deji of Akure can ban a people(igbos) from electing their representative in Ondo and Oba of Lagos threaten them with Lagoon during a free and fair election, then wat are u talking about?

The man merely cautioned his daughter based on the rampant inter-tribal marriages between mostly yoruba men and Igbo women. It is everywhere and a new trend.

Or do u think everybody have not noticed. Like i said go and try to marry from the HausaFulani first, or even marry a yoruba girl and tell me about it. Go to twitter and see the hard time Cuppy is getting from yoruba Demons becos of Anichebe.

This comment received the most like on nairaland, simply becos she said something about marrying the guy.

Go on this thread and see your same yoruba men that brag about marrying igbo women react to Cuppy confirming dating Anichebe.
https://www.nairaland.com/3539848/dj-cuppy-talks-victor-anichebe

They are happy to display igbo women as trophy from their conquest of the Igbos but want to die wen igbo men display interest in yoruba women.

At the end of the day, no matter wat the igbos do, u anti-igbo will never appreciate and will continue to hate igbos as u have always done.

This is one of the reasons IPOB exist, to end it once and for all by everybody going their own way.

Again, you are jumping to half-baked conclusions and rambling about things that are not even connected. The Eze Nd'Igbo in Akure committed a grievous offence and flouted traditional laws in Akure with impunity, and refused to show remorse when called to order. So he was sanctioned. I may not approve of the methods used, but flouting a traditional ruler's orders has its own consequences.

As for the Oba of Lagos' directive, over 37 of your Eze Nd'Igbo chiefs in lagos and other high-ranking Igbo were in attendance when the Oba made that speech. Did your people who were there express any displeasure or did they refute his statements? No!! They clapped for him and promised to do his bidding. So please do not take these two incidents in isolation and use it to judge other Yoruba people about their interaction with the Igbo.

Secondly, DJ Cuppy's actions will always attract comment - whether good, bad or ugly. Those passing those comments do not speak for the entire Yoruba group, just as your own comments do not represent the views of all Nd'Igbo people. Hope that clarifies the issue.

Is Nigeria a Monarchy or a Federation?

U contradict urself alot.

On one hand u say an elected representative "in Akure committed a grievous offence and flouted traditional laws in Akure with impunity, and refused to show remorse when called to order. So he was sanctioned."

Then on the other hand u say, "Eze Nd'Igbo[/i] chiefs in lagos and other high-ranking Igbo were in attendance when the Oba made that speech. Did your people who were there express any displeasure or did they refute his statements? No!! They clapped for him and promised to do his bidding."

If you break the laws of any land, whether they are communal laws or traditional ones, there are consequences. Simple. sad That was what happened in the Akure case. Instead of you to find out where the Eze Nd'Igbo of Akure erred, you chaps keep blaming those who meted out the punishment for his offence. There are thousands of Igbo people living in Akure and abiding by the laws of the land. How many of them have been flogged, since creation of that state till date?

Is it not true that your Eze Nd'Igbo chiefs were present at the palace of the Oba of Lagos when he made those remarks about the lagoon during the election? Did they protest or refute his comments? No! sad So why are you all blaming the Oba without blaming your own people who were busy clapping and cheering him on, when he made those comments??! shocked

All I have to say to u is that igbos are not weak.

We can never be that way that u want or imagine.

Deji of Akure does not have any constitutional power or right to interfere with distinct communities living in Akure by Law both constitutional, civil and criminal law.

Customary law are only binding on members of that custom not Nigerians living within that domain and for that we have customary court not the Deji Palace.

U know this.

Under wat juristiction and powers recognised by the Nigerian constitutional law, criminal law, civil law, religious law or customary law.

The Deji acted with criminal intent and commited battery on a community representative that he had invited to his palace.

This is similar to the Lagos Oba inviting community leaders to his palace only to threaten their lives.

The only example i can point to internationally is the invitation given to the Russian Ambassador in Turkey, only for a Turkish police officer to shoot him in the back screaming like a coward.

U dont invite people on diplomatic mission and then sieze the opportunity that they are ill prepared and unarmed to attack and inflict injury on them.

That is cowardly.
