Guys i ordered a phone on aliexpress since Dec 8, till now i haven't received my item. The last tracking result i got was that 'the item is on transportation to the country of destination since 22nd of dec, pls how long more do i have to wait for it to get here, between i used postnl for shipping. There are casings/glass in Aliexpress for the phone; add "Special Edition" in your search query.

I ordered them from different stores...... Taking ages to arrive.

For the meantime, I visited a phone store in my hood for something to use temporarily.

Yes. Crossing over requires you to unlock bootloader

Looks like many people on here are buying the RN3 SE. Am still undecided, really want to see the product Xiaomi will be launching during CES. Would be great if the note 4 with Snapdragon be made available this month, either that or I throw in a few $ more for the mi5 but might still opt in for the RN3 SE.
