For the first time this season, referee bad decisions went our way, that was the major advantage we had today. West Ham slightly had the upper hand then they suddenly and unjustly went a man down when their man went on a a reckless tackle against Jones.

Our players became too careful because they thought Mark Dean might correct the error by sending one of our players off. We were virtually not marking them anymore. But we dominated without proper penetration. Lingard was poor, he had opportunities of taking on their right back but he always reversed and passed back. Darmian on that left side also didn't help matters. Mkhitaryan was nowhere near his best, he was just there. Valencia was trying to bite from the right, but he missed an opportunity to put us ahead, he hit straight at the goalkeeper when he was unmarked from 4 yards and Lingard couldn't put the rebound into an empty net. He hit the upright from three yards with an empty net to score.

Second half, Darmian was off and Mata came one. Rojo went to left back while Carrick paired Jones in central defence. At one point it could have been disastrous for us when Valencia and Rojo erroneously played a man onside, it was DeGea who came to the rescue.

Rashford was brought in and our attacking play immediately improved. He got behind the defence line easily getting to the byline and cutting back. On his second or third attempt he successfully cancelled his markers and cut back to Mata who fired in from close range.

The second goal was scored by Ibrahimovic. He is now second on the top scorer chat behind Costa. He is a born scorer. Although I would still want the management to put a big bid on Aubameyang.

Herrera, Pogba, Ibra need rest

Ibra needs rest especially. I don't see why Herrera and Pogba can't play every game. They are quite young and Pogba has got the physique.

The only thing is I don't think Herrera is capable of displaying his workhorse style in every game because it's definitely not his style but without that, there's no way he would be in the team in the first place. Hence, he has to continue. I think he needs some rest though.

Herrera and Rojo play with passion different from the other lads, I'd add Valencia...I appreciate their efforts, most improved players

Lingard is always poor. Simple things always hard for that boy. I dont just understand. He will score a brilliant goal today and then off for several months after that playing rubbish for us.

P.S: Mourinho is very foolish for benching Martial for yesterday's match, I don't care about any silly excuse anyone would put up for him. He acts dumb sometimes. Martial has been more on the bench this season than the field, what is he resting him for? And to make matters worse, he's playing Darmian at the LB again even after several pathetic displays from the Italian in that position. How can a good coach not notice Darmian is very useless in that position? If he tries this madness again, the thunder that will fire him will be too hard to describe.

He's having a pretty poor game already and on the verge on losing control of the match. So you think a manager shouldnt complain about a ref's poor performance just because he benefits from the biggest decisions of the match?

He always complains about bad officiating simply because it doesn't go his way. That's hypocrisy. Most if not all managers are hypocrites anyway.

Until Shaw is fully fit, we have no option than to play Darmian, though I think he shouldn't be playing for Utd at the moment. Blind is awful in that position when we are under pressure. The only thing he brings to the table is his calmness and sublime passes. Against lowly placed teams at OT where we'll dominate, he'd do well. But it would be costly to start him when we're away to a spirited West Ham side. Antonio would bully him every now and then. Darmian is less calamitous in this regard.

Young has lost his confidence and although he might seem enthusiastic he's inefficient. The only thing he has at the moment are his DJ skills.

As for Martial, Mou has his reasons for benching him. It could be to rest him since he played on new year's eve or it could be a simple squad rotation.


Our next 3 games are at OT. Let's hope we win the first 2 with panache and beat Liverpool as well (who, BTW will play away to Soton on the 11th before coming to OT on the 15th. Utd will play Hull on the 10th at OT)

The biggest surprise is Rojo's confidence in possession and his passing, the dude was all about clearing the ball when it got to him before now but look how much he has improved. People say Mourinho doesn't do much in terms of youth development but to be honest, the improvement of Rojo, Herrera, Rashford's overall game etc is a testament to something the media fails to or deliberately ignore cos they never want to give props to Mou.

Yet..... Kagawa10 won't appreciate him, don't really know why the Dude is so determined and rigid with his Hatred for Herrera!

That's how this one ll just be flying everytime we score a goal
