Sabi mamas, please help me oo, my bumbum (especially around my anus) is paining me, i feel it more when i sit down, also my uterus (dont know if na my jajaina sha) as well pains alot especially during the night when i am about to turn/change position, so scared of carry the the legs again cos of the pain felt around my uterus/jajaina,atimes i prefer to assume a sitting position first before i change my sleeping position. please what can i do to stop this or is it part of the package?

Also at the back of my right leg, i usually feel pains (thought it might the muscle around there causing this) mostly when i'm walking around or standing.

Lastly, my doctor said there's protein in my urine, mamas i am so scared cause same has since been detected at 18 weeks and i'm currently 25 weeks, what can i do to reduce this protein ishh

At 25weeks a bsby is expected to b head down.
However if its too much... see your docky.

Go to govt hosp and seek the advise of ur doctor...
Dunno if it has 2 do with gestational diabetics....

Sorry have been off for long but am back with good news.


God has blessed my family with a beautiful princess. She made her royal entrance on the 3rd January 2017 at 8pm. Have a very long induction. Imagine labor from 7am -7pm be4 I was given d drip then she came 8pm weighing 3.7kg at 40weeks+6days with big tear. We are at home now. Thank God for everything.

And a special thank you to u all got ur prayers.

I was having pelvic pain so decided to go for scan, lo and behold my baby was in cephalic position and longitudinal lie and was measuring two weeks ahead .my questions are
1, will my baby change position again
2, my baby weight is 947g, is it not too big?
3, I'm measuring 26weeks 2days instead of 24weeks
4, I have 4 Edd's 19,16,8 April accd to scan, 23 accd to lmp..

I don't know about fetal weight but I know some babies tend to take the birthing position early. While some may turn again and be breech, they may still return to the birthing position again. 

My lo has been in the birthing position since 22weeks (I don't know if he turned after that or not but every scan I've had since then puts him at the birthing position)

Your prayer should be that even if he turns, he should still return to the birthing position when it's time

Measuring 2weeks ahead is not a bad thing. Scans are usually estimates. But it could mean ur lo could come before 40weeks I think. Either ways, as long as ur lo is healthy and u are healthy, then keep calm and let him/her build mansion in ya belly

1. It's possible. My baby was breech at my 32 week appointment and in the birthing
position at 34 weeks. Asked my doctor if he can still turn this late (cos I was worried about a breech baby) he said it's possible but unlikely. Meanwhile I've been feeling like the baby has turned again (maybe it's my mind sha, till next week)

2. baby weight in scans are close estimates. Don't sha starve yourself. Weight is mostly a function of genetics

3 &4. Your baby may come early but stick with the date on your earliest scan/LMP. Those are usually the most accurate.

Lol. U de hide to chop? Hahaha. If babies tend to be big in ur family or ur dh's family, u can't help it o! Whether u starve or not pikin where go big, go big.

At my 36th week appointment dh was complaining to my doctor that I don't eat well anymore and he's worried the baby may loose some fat. My doctor said whether I starve or not, baby go add fat! So my dear, pls eat well o. Don't starve yasef cos at the end of the day genes play an important role too

Thanks dearie, I couldn't log in to nairaland earlier coupled with festive period activities, I travelled for the festivities and the first thing I did when I came back was to go for a scan because the journey and activities was a bit stressful, I thank God everything is very fine and lo is kicking endlessly. Hope you are good too? Don't worry your lo can still turn if there is place for him but will later be in the birthing position. My scans have been changing my edd too but I still rely on the date based on my LMP.

I started experiencing d pain close to my anus @ 15 weeks so I complained to d Doc n he said it was normal that some women might even av a protruding anus, d pain was a bit much then but dis days its just once in a while n not serious I didn't take any drug.

It's been great as par old student.... with my first no MS at all but with this I started feeling nausea at 9wks wc went thru to 13wks but am good now.

Good for you at least you have experience lol, mine has been on and off oo sometimes i dont feel pregnant sef. i'm just taking each day as it comes.

His majesty made his grand entrance at 6am , the 6th of January at 39 weeks + 6 days via VD weighing 3.5kg .
