By the end of his tenure, you would appreciate the great PMB. This was what he tried to do in the 80s and the people were screaming murder when he banned everything that could have been produced within. God bless you, PMB. Let them hate you, we, the enlightened ones, live you die! 1 Like |

Abakiliki de stoned rice remains one of the best local rice in Nigeria. PMB govt is bringing hardship to it citizen. How can a local rice be sold for N12,000. During GEJ i bought 50kg of Abakiliki rice for N4,000, while foreign is N8,500. APC govt has nothing to offer, only lies. 3 Likes 1 Share |

JennyOfOldstones: You and murphyibiam15 have disgraced and bursted citytv lies. The girl is obviously a jealous and pained yoruba. She should go and get Abakaliki rice from a legit source. Seems her supplier or something is branding a fake rice as Abakaliki rice and be selling the nonsense to her. The Uyo wey I dey, Abakaliki rice don enter am and it's really destoned and tastes nice. Aufbauh: Local rice sold for 12K!!! BUT foreign rice was sold for less than 10K before this Govt came into power Modified: I just saw your post after posting mine serverconnect: My brother I 'taya' o, only God can help us out It leaves me wondering how rational we are as Nigerians if some people can be happy with what is obtainable in the country |

Funnicator: thank u for ur sincerity. @citytv the rice is brought out fresh frm d engine. Traders buy they destone n bag ot for a token amout. If ir seller is stingy thats wen dey dont destone it n seller with stones n husks. meanwhile who cooked dat food? Cos d person shld av still been a lil conscious to check d bottom of d bowl n discard d few stones 1 Like |

Nnemuka:That is the problem with people like u who barely see beyond their nose, Are u aware that the cheap foreign rice u bought two years ago was at the expense of the country's hard earned foreign reserves? are u aware that the cheat rice u were eating was not just ur future u were eating but the future of ur children yet unborn?? Are u aware that the cheap foreign rice u were eating was creating jobs to the populace of another country while Nigerians remain jobless How many countries can boast of Nigerian produced rice the way u boast of foreign rice... 2 Likes 1 Share |

Enugu also have rice locally produced in parts of the state like Oduma, Ugbawka, etc. They are all good rice that augment those brought into the state from Ebonyi. 2 Likes |

Re: Enugu Residents Shift Patronage To Local Rice - The Punch by vicenzo(m): 8:54am On Jan 08, 2017 |
Abiagirl777: You obviously didn't buy the de stoned variety. You bought those straight off the rice mill. Those are often cheaper, but it comes with price of having stones, and have to be sieved after parboiling to sieve out the stones. |

During washing I see none or jus 1 at d bottom of d bowl. If u hav a friend or family living there u may ask dem to buy n send it across. Just before Christmas peace mass was charging courier 1500 for 50kg bag to any part of naija. Pple were really sending couriers |

Abiagirl777: Nne take it easy. Its all in d hands of d merchant. He stingy he cant pay 100 naira to destone n package his products. Its not d farmers or d millers duty to do dat. abi na cassava farmer go make d garri for u? this is d pix of a section of d mill. Different varieties of rice on display. U choose wat u want n buy. There r pple der dey carry it to d destoning machinr. Destone, bag n seal it. Jus 100 or 200. the rice fresh frm d milling machine with stones n husks. D buyers detones if he wishes 2 Likes
