But Misappropriation is when you apply funds approved for one thing on another thing, while embezzlement is when you squander the fund on yourself. Both are punishable crimes! A Bureaucrat should know better. In governance you cannot use funds approved for a baby's milk to buy medicine for her sick mom, even though both are necessary. You have to go back and apply for funds for the medicine.

The name of the company says Josmon Technology Limited, and probably registered with CAC as Technology driven company. Looking at the grass cuttng picture, am yet to see any form of technology applied in the grass cutting to justify giving such contract to a Technology company and why it should gulp over 200 Million.

Atimes some good one meant to do,if not properly portrayed/handled can turn sour. Even if babachir meant well, the way he went about awarding #200m for this project is questionable. How should clearing of waterways be his duty, that should be done by water ways management board under the auspices of ministry for environment.

But this is water hycynth which blocks river channels and obstructs the flow of water. There are special equipment to tackle this. Why would the government of a country spend N200 million, using cutlasses to chop off weeds that will grow back again in 3 months? Are they going to award another N200 million naira contract in 3 months? This "project" has all the trappings of fraud in it.
Besides this, the real reason for the hoopla over this entire project is the fact that the office of the SGF awarded the contract to a company in which the SGF himself had substantial interests in, and before his supposed resignation from the company.

This APC led government can tell you they dispensed N5000 stipends in Ekiti with no one physically receiving N1...or how can you tell a sensible man that this was what millions of naira did.
