If she had been a participant of MMM she would have gotten over a million by now. Saving isn't wise, Yes i said it. Unless you are saving for something big, Like getting a land or car(Even a car is a liability). But just keeping money in banks or elsewhere isn't wise. After reading The Richest Man in Babylon and other books by Robert Kuyosaki your mentality will change(Although the first book advice you always save 1/10th of your earnings but only for the purpose of investment, of making even more money). Your money should work for you, It should be your slave not the other way. Take risk, Fail, Take risk again, Invest, Invest, Learn and you shall make it. Most people don't really wants money just the assurance that they have money, that's why they engaged in pointless savings.

Savings is good, unfortunately not too many imbibe the habit (I'm equally guilty). One of my key resolutions is to SAVE massively. Not a penny of mine would be spent on;

i. what is not budgeted for
ii. what is not important

Impulse purchases ruin the chances of saving, if you can deal with that, then that piggy bank or savings account will blossom

There's no wisdom in this at all. She didn't understand the concept of inflation and time value of money.
Anyone who sees my account balamce would think I'm broke as fvck. I don't keep money in the bank. Every penny I earn goes into a project (building or a side business ). Only uninformed people still keep money in the bank.

sir there's good wisdom in what she has done as long as it isnt her final stop.
