My family is going for a vacation in New Jersey before the end of this month but we can't get a flight to NJ within our budget. Someone suggested we fly into New York and then to New Jersey since they are very close.
My question is, aren't we going to have issues at the POE since we filled New Jersey as our destination?

You can't fly from New York to New Jersey... it's just like an hour away from each other.. it's either you fly in with Ethiopia airline(They land in EWR New jersey) or thru JFK new york.
My opinion is that you should enter through JFK because you will have a lot of options with airlines and also it's the closest to New Jersey.

I have applied for student visa and was denied 3times based on some misrepresentation back in the year 2011. Last year my wife also was denied twice based on childbirth stuff, mama g will remember cos she has been so helpful on the thread.
My major q is, I want to apply for visiting, should I apply with my wife and our little toddler of 3monthd or I should apply alone?
Pls I need your advice on this.

You should have no problem at POE if you fly into JFK, its barely 40 minutes away from NJ (minus traffic). Airport pickup to drive you to NJ will be expensive though. You have other plans?

I am sure there won't be any problem if your destination is New Jersey and you're landing in NJ. Yes you can do the shuttle service with your hotel but make sure you give them your itinerary so they can work with your arrival time. Safe Journey and good luck.
