This is just the beginning.GEJ was trying his best and they said his administration was corrupt. Our greedy politicians collaborated and removed him with different forms of propaganda. He accepted defeat as a humble child he is.You don't know the value of what you have untill u loose.Atleast its a lesson to all of us such that in future we will be able to educate our children on how to manage a bird at hand. Our greedy politicians don't have our interest at heart when things are going well with them, bcoz they plan only for their generation. They make trouble when things don't go their way and remba the poor masses when they need your vote. How many of them have criticised the state of the economy now,but during last administration even who people does not know anything about economy was lamenting about the economy. 6 Likes |

Why can't Nigeria have functioning refineries like other oil producing countries? Isn't Nigeria rich enough to build multiple refineries from the scratch? Nigeria matter don tire person! 2 Likes |

ordinarily, this won't be an issue. its about demand & supply & fluctuations in the price of the raw material coupled with some flawed actions on the path of the economic managers. however, it becomes a big issue because this regime told too many lies & distorted facts while in the opposition, now their ineptitude has been laid bare for all to see. well, immediate solution is to; 1. remove/reduce other associated but non-essential charges/taxes on refined PMS & DPK . 2. create a special forex market for oil importers whereby they get their dollars at about N250-N270. make it fixed for them & then monitor it stringently to ensure the money is 'spended' for the purpose it is supposed to be 'spended on'. long term solution is encouraging more private investors, ala Dangote. & to those who still say GEJ did not build refineries, that administration realised it was futile for government to run refineries, hence the attempt to leave it to the private sector, hence the allocation of licences to build refineries, of which the same Dangote whom Social Media Idiots point to as the solution to fuel scarcity, is a beneficiary. if GEJ had not started that process, the Dangote refinery we are all waiting for today would still be a dream... 2 Likes |

davodyguy:You have not said anything yet----Go ahead and explain your point---to the Marines---- Where you not in this country where this government made a statement that --when the price of crude was 75 dollars--the then government should and must reduced the price of fuel to between 42 and 50 Naira per a litre---Don't you understand that those guys there are not having any idea of how a country should be run--instead they are using your brain-what they are doing is to continue to condemn past administration but they don't have an idea of governance--this is the first time in this country that all the people that use to write letters,,people that use to occuppy nigeria, are showing they were not real---What are you explaining. 3 Likes |

davodyguy:You are wrong, oil importers like NNPC are the reason naira is being threatened. I expected you not to be economical with the truth. CBN has nothing to do with this. Let NNPC make our refineries functional that's the only way they can help us. And don't remind me of Niger delta militants, the federal government knows what to do to end it yet they are adamant. 1 Like |

obailala:Gej fixed those refineries before he vacated office.. You can't deny it. Buhari came in and everything ceased. Instead of finding who to blame again why not hold your immediate leaders accountable. Gej has gone though his legacy remains but you got to direct your frustration to appropriate quarters. Young smart people should start participating in politics against the next election. Must we sit down and complain till these people ruin us completely? As am talking to you for over one week there's no electricity, I heard kerosene price has doubled, now PMS is increasing. What are we now doing in the country. Everyone is trying to survive to feed the government officials. We must fight and stop watching like coward. I call the intelligent and we'll meaningful Nigerians to arise now before its too late.

davodyguy: Don't be an educated illiterate... How can you be asking that dumb question? You have an oil country that can't produce 90% of oil products their country needs in a day, but rather imports. or do they import those product using urine?... And you are here talking Thrash... Or is it the CBN that's caused that one too? Just because you wrote long epistles doesn't mean you can't be wrong bc you definitely are and I called you out because you are getting the public deliberately misinformed. 1 Like |

Who knows how much d will sell when the price of crude rises to $90 per barrel. Mumu people. |

The level of unemployment and illiteracy in this country is staggering. Did you people read the topic at all? Nobody is paying marketers any subsidy again because the NNPC is bearing the loss for the increase in landing cost. The price of oil has been steadily increasing since November. So the landing cost has definitely increased. Why you people are screaming Buhari and APC baffles me. Our refineries just started producing optimally 2 months ago. Even if they are producing at 100% capacity we will still need to import because the refineries only produce 30% of what we need at optimal capacity. When Dangotes refinery berths in 2018/2019 we will have all the petrol we need. So everybody should just take a chill pill and relax. There is nothing else the FG can do but wait and take a hit for us by incurring losses through the NNPC at least till 2018/2019. |

This your post is filled with bullshit and nonsense Eastactivist:Your post depicts that of someone who's not educated at all. You're posting nonsense, with your rhetorics Who's fault is it that the country isn't self sufficient in refined crude needs? If they don't import, how will they satisfy wailers like you? You just keep abusing logic and common sense. Who regulates currencies and rates in a country? That you have comprehension challenges isn't my fault. Instead of taking your time to read and decipher, you are hasty in posting nonsense and rhetorics |
