I love that New narket roundabout connecting four major areas... One to Ngwo, one to GRA, one to ministry buildings and one to Onitsha... I think it was Chimaroke that started the road while chime completed it. Talk about continuity

Uyo is not my howetown, neither do i live there,na work cari me go there oh and i dont know why some ppl will just starting hating here.Uyo is quite cheap and i think the cost of basic things isnt expensive at all.U will get a good plate of food for #300 and keke NAPEP is the major means of transport there and just anywhere around the city wont be more than #200.
Anyway am out of uyo now and i wish the people and their governor all the best.

Am sure you need to be diagnosed. You have not refused this your clownish toga? You must be mentally debased for you to spew all these gibberish.

Are you talking of hamlets towns in oshun state that cannot even boost of electricity not to talk of decent housing? Even the oshun state capital cannot not compete with Sapele talk more of Ekwuuluobia. Ogbomosho and Ibadan is still a huge village with rusted zinc adorning the skyline.

Hmm.... Oshogbo and Ife do have @ least 20hrs of electricity everyday, so if u don't hv an idea bout something don't spread lies... Although Oshogbo is a lil developed but Ife is bleeped it only has OAU ile-ife and d Ife dynasty....

You are a liar.
Birnin Kebbi has an airport and is far much more developed that many so called state capitals in southern Nigeria. I know because i lived there for 2 years after NYSC. Until Boko People begin threaten southerners.

I think we need to critically look at the criteria before judging which are the most developed state capital whilst considering issues such as infrastructures, industries et al. For those peeps calling calabar, i think you might be wrong, calabar for now does not fit to be classified amongst the top 5 developed state capital in Nigeria, maybe in the not too distant future it may,but right now the town virtually has no factories plus its still more of a civil service state with fast food and hotels adorning the streets.

No its not, london is the most expensive city in the world and way more livable than new york and please get your facts right right before you come here.I'M BORN AND BRED IN LONDON AND THE LAST SLUM OR GHETTO WAS DESTROYED OVER A CENTURY AGO.AND LONDON IS FIRST BEST CITY IN THE WORLD IF NOT,ITS DEFINITELY IN THE TOP 3.

tunde300us: Uyo honestly is getting better and can surely get better, but for goodness sake why build what you dont need.
You have a 5 star hotel that does not get 40% patronage even on weekends
You have built a cinema that cannot change its movie lines for weeks because of low patronage and unbelievable charge rate N300/movie
You have a beautiful airport with a (potential) for repair n maintenance facility for A to C-checks and yet the airport patronage is low

My fear for uyo is that the governor will end up with so many things the state does not need just to score cheap political points or patronage, thumb up though for a good job with road network, but sir u cant sustain some of those things

Am a lagos boy for those who wants to know
and you say u base in uyo no need dragging words with you

Uyo is Number 1 to me.

Ikeja is dirty to me. very noisy. only the express road is fine.

just type Uyo in google and go to images and see for yourself. do same for other states and judge it.
