CuteCeo: $100 at a go(3times) or $50 for each transaction(6times) |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by GrandMufti: 7:52am On Feb 04, 2017 |
eraly: My bro used my card to buy a phone. His account is also old. The transaction went through, no appeal whatsoever. So there may be evidence of truth associated with using old accounts and new cards. Or maybe because we share the same surname |

dustmalik: Odd. Ordered on the 1st, still hasn't shipped. Will cancel if they don't by tomorrow |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by CuteCeo: 8:03am On Feb 04, 2017 |

GrandMufti: The AtMs I used were for my friends...am Yoruba and they're Igbos ...so no correlation with the name...it has to do with the age I think. |

4llerbuntu: LOL, oga CNY is over today. Your item will be shipped next week. Pretty sure dustmalik ordered in January. Na first come first served. If you really like your item, I'd advise you wait before rushing to cancel. |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by dustmalik: 8:13am On Feb 04, 2017 |
4llerbuntu:I ordered since on the 25th of January. they probably considered those who ordered first, so be patient. By the way, when you cancel, are you automatically refunded? How does the process work? |

eraly:I think the point is, an old account is considered to be somewhat credible, hence a blind eye is turned to it. 2 Likes 1 Share |

rookidmart: Let me thank you again rookidmart for ur assistance then. But on this appeal matter, i used 4 different cards for my purchase and i wasnt told to appeal. Half of the 8 items i bought have been pre-advised to shipping coy. What do u think is the criteria for asking buyer to appeal? |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by dukeo(m): 8:31am On Feb 04, 2017 |
dustmalik: My account is almost 4years+ old and still had to appeal with my own personal card. You were just lucky that's all. |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by GrandMufti: 8:50am On Feb 04, 2017 |
CuteCeo:Most likely |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by dustmalik: 8:54am On Feb 04, 2017 |
dukeo:I had to appeal as well, though i just opened my account in January. I was only trying to explain the whole new/old account thingy, but i guess it isn't exactly accurate. |

CuteCeo:With the same name or different names? Maybe you were just lucky. You'll get to verify later. |

dustmalik: Hehe. At least you tried by having a theory. As for me, I'll never understand these our Chinese brothers |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by bily(m): 8:57am On Feb 04, 2017 |
dukeo: Maybe it also depends on how frequent you have been purchasing from aliexpress apart from your account being old. If your account is 5 years and you've purchased just 1 item, it's not as good as an account that 3 years and has purchased items from 20 different sellers within that time span |

Anyone succesfully used a data only sim like ntel, smile etc on redmi note 3 special edition? I have not been able to get the phone to work with smile sim and a friend ntel sim, even though it supports the band and there's network coverage in my area Keep showing no network |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Dam5reey(m): 9:02am On Feb 04, 2017 |
CuteCeo: Ahaha... It might be that your account has been verified.. In the time of alipay balance cos, I had to upload my passport then during the alipocket registration... So you might not need to appeal... Also There is account level you might be on A2, A3 or A4... Check your level

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by CuteCeo: 9:10am On Feb 04, 2017 |
dukeo: Well in case aliexpress agents are here make I run...but I have been doing that since forever.. Never faced that..same as my Brother's account |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by dustmalik: 9:11am On Feb 04, 2017 |
bily:Hope your APN is correct? If not, it will not work. Smile APN is internet. By the way, Smile and ntel are both '4G Only' networks, they don't support any other network type. So you will need to dial *#*#4636#*#* then enter Phone information, scroll down and select 'LTE Only'. 1 Like 2 Shares |

CuteCeo:Don't worry they'll get to you eventually. AliExpress customer service says everyone would have to do it eventually. |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by rookidmart: 9:25am On Feb 04, 2017 |

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by rookidmart: 9:32am On Feb 04, 2017 |
mike234:I wouldn't know honestly. Some people have been using other cards without being asked to verify. Maybe it's, as Dam5rey says, they've verified before when Alipay was in vogue (when you had to upload a passport to verify). Usually for new accounts it's usually triggered when you use cards that are not in your name especially if they have different shipping addresses. (If you want to ship an item to a different address from the o e on your profile just send the seller a message with the address) My 2 Kobo. |
