you think that it is only goals that is considered when you talk about a striker, fine. But, have you sat down to think of how productive a striker will be when he cannot play in a system that complements his attributes? lukaku has no technical intelligence to play in a club like chelsea. he cannot cope with the pressure of having to deliver week in week out.

costa is not even the ideal striker for this chelsea system. we all see how costa kills counter attacks with his foolishness of not passing the ball when he has to, but instead choosing to dribble even when he knows that is not also good at it. i have not really fancied costa, but i cannot call him a fraud because of the goals he keeps scoring. this goal come about from his fighting spirit, positioning and anticipation which he all has over lukaku. costa can still offer better for chelsea in this system than lukaku. atleast, costa will be able to pass the ball back to hazard successfully more times than lukaku will do. costa will detect a teammates run to give a pass or use the advantage of the run to create a goal for himself. costa can play a one two with a teammate. costa can make better key passes than lukaku. although you may argue that lukaku has more key passes than costa, but that is due to the fact that teams have the tendency to defend when they play against chelsea than when they play against everton. so, costa's attempted passes in the final third will often times blocked by the opponent.

Seems this guy's strength are in his instincts as well as his finishing! Also plays like a runner but I don't see him being an assist giver or even a hold up play kind of guy or the type that needs to be isolated up front on his own! This guy just gets goals!

Belloti on the other hand might be cheaper, also plays as a winger, second striker and as a big bruising center forward, can dribble but is still not a supreme finisher although he is just 23! Personally he looks more suited to chelsea than lacazette! Playing for a small club and still getting goals who knows what he can become with stellar support around him?
