This is the problem why we are weak militaraly and economically because we are miss educated. How fare back does our history in our schools go so we think we are what Europeans/ Caucasians deem us to be. Go and attack Britain and see if America, France and others will stand there and look at u. The guys ideas stems from Black/ African bourgeoisie whom get money and aspire for foreigners to accept them.

Now All West Africans sees themselves as West Africans first. Every 1 in 5 African in the world is Nigerian that is why France have bases all around u. Have u thought about buying from only people who look like u ie buying arms from Black countries taking technologies from the develop world like China did plus west Africa putting a base in other Black Nations like Haiti to have a striking capability when war breaks out. We have millions of the rebels plus ie terrorist who are funded by the big boys could be used to suit our military objectives so yes We the ordinary people understand we are West Africans, Africans. Ask the ordinary Ghanaian or West African under any circumstance let go to war with Nigeria or Benin or Burkina Faso and see what they will tell u. Think globally act locally. I know we all got problems but we are dying so the 10% can not run the world. We better think of our military power bc Spain's GDP per capital is bigger than the whole of Africa's. Nigeria's navy is the biggest and strongest in the region so Nigerian navy is the flag navy or carrier of the region so the rest are in support simple.

Nigerian Navy Foils Attacks on Two Oil Tankers, Frees 21 Crew
The Nigerian navy foiled two pirate attacks on oil tankers on Wednesday in the country’s Atlantic waters and freed 21 crew members, the military said.

Troops intercepted a vessel, the MT Gaz Providence, seized by pirates a day earlier near Bonny Island, rescuing 21 crew members, Suleman Dahun, the navy’s spokesman, said in an e-mailed statement. They also stopped gunmen from boarding another tanker, the MT Rio Spirit, which had picked up cargo from the Qua Iboe Terminal run by Exxon Mobil Corp.’s local unit.

Nigeria’s Atlantic waters have been identified by the International Maritime Bureau as one of the major hot spots of piracy where vessels should stay at least 200 nautical miles from the coast.

Seven Russian nationals and one Ukranian were seized in Nigerian waters when pirates attacked their vessel, the BBC Caribbean, the Russian embassy in Abuja said in a tweet on Tuesday.

WorldStage Newsonline-- Nigerian Navy Ship OKPABANA today rescued an oil tanker, MT GAZ PROVIDENCE with 21 crew members which came under pirate attack yesterday off Bonny Island, River State.

According to a statement by Navy Captain Suleman Dahun, Acting Director of Information, the rescued ship upon encountering the pirates sent a distress call which prompted the Nigerian Navy to dispatch NNS OKPABANA to rescue her.

“As at today 1:30 pm, NNS OKPABANA personnel have boarded the rescued oil tanker to investigate and gather information on the failed hijack attempt,” the statement said.

In a related development, the statement said personnel of the Nigerian Navy Ship VICTORY also repelled a pirate attack on an oil tanker MT RIO SPIRIT.

“The pirates attempted to hijack the oil tanker after she loaded products from QUA IBOE terminal and sailed 110 nautical miles south of Akassa in Delta State where the incident took place. Not mindful of the fact that the vessel was under security cover by the operatives of the Nigerian Navy who were onboard a security vessel, the assailants swooped on MT RIO SPIRIT in an attempt to hijack her. The Nigerian Navy operatives repelled the attack and secured the route of the vessel. Not deterred, the pirates made another spirited effort to hijack MT RIO SPIRIT 30 minutes after the first attempt which was also repelled. However, she was successfully escorted to safety as she continued her voyage,” the statement said.

“Furthermore, a patrol team deployed by Nigerian Navy Ship DELTA has discovered and destroyed 8 illegal refineries around Osiagbene Creek in Ogbeletobo Community of Warri South West LGA of Delta State. The items destroyed in the raid include 15 metal tanks laden with about 130MT of product suspected to be illegally refined AGO and about 200MT of substance suspected to be stolen crude oil.

“Additionally, an anti-crude oil theft patrol team deployed by NNS PATHFINDER conducted patrols of creeks and waterways in their area of operations. During the patrol, the team raided 3 illegal refineries in which unspecified quantity of illegally refined AGO and stolen crude oil were destroyed around Bille Community in Rivers State. Similarly, the team raided 6 active illegal refining sites around Bille/Kalabari axis. About 45 metric tons of suspected illegally refined AGO and steel tanks with unspecified quantity of stolen crude oil were also destroyed.

“In view of the foregoing, the Nigerian Navy once again wishes to reiterate its determination to combat criminalities in the nation’s waters and ensure a safe and conducive atmosphere for legitimate maritime operators

The Air Force should have set in motion a replacement programme for the Alpha jets. The A-29 Super-Tucano cannot replace the Alpha jets as a Lead-in-Fighter-Trainer, we should consider the L-15, Yak-130, M-346 or the FTC-2000. The L-15 been our best suitable option.

Tucano is not a replacement , As for for the exact frame of replacement I can't tell,however all the platforms you listed are decent platforms.
But the yak -130 impresses me thou

maybe ,
mortars r not actually that acturate , not possible with a single round , u need to fire more to get a good accurate fix on target

another fact the safety fuze on an RPG is around 4 sec , and the target looks far .

will never know unless we figure the distance , and then calculate the time and compare it with the safety fuze detonation time to see if it actually explodes before hitting the target.
