mortars r not actually that acturate , not possible with a single round , u need to fire more to get a good accurate fix on target

another fact the safety fuze on an RPG is around 4 sec , and the target looks far .

will never know unless we figure the distance , and then calculate the time and compare it with the safety fuze detonation time to see if it actually explodes before hitting the target.

and we don't know also from were they fired (if it's mortar or Howitzer ) , the cameramen could be in another place fiming the attack , if it's a truly live attack on saudian position , i dont think rpg can do it with this angle of fire from down and distance

Brazil To Sell 3 Pre-owned Super Tucano Aircraft To Nigeria

Brazil has approved the sale of its three serviceable pre-owned Super Tucano A-29 attack aircraft to Nigeria.
The acquisition of this aircraft by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is expected to boost its operational capabilities in tackling insurgence and militancy in the country. Besides its deployment for Surveillance, Reconnaissance and counter-insurgency missions, the aircraft could also carry a wide array of armaments, including precision guided monitors, advance avionic, communications and sensors.
Moreover, the aircraft can also operate in remote and un-paved airfield while the maximum speed of the aircraft is approximately 590 kilometres per hour.

The Embraer Contract Negotiator, Mr Eneias de Souza Freitas said, “ the Brazilian Ministry of Defence has informed them that it has approved the sale of 3 Super Tucano A-29 aircraft to Nigeria.

Brazil has authorized its Air Force to transfer the aircraft to Embraer Defence and Security, for onward delivering to the Nigerian Air Force.
Mr Freitas further said that the legal requirement and procedures were being finalized by the Brazilian Air Force while promising to facilitate the legal process “this is of concerned to us, we will for sure take your message back to the people with the legal procedures to quicken the process.” Mr Freitas said.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) said that the idea of the NAF to acquire Super Tucano A-29 aircraft was mooted in 2015 and appropriated in the 2016 Budget.
He urged the company to facilitate the procurement process to enable the NAF take delivering of the aircraft within reasonable time.

The L-15 is the next best thing to the Yak-130. We've been buying Chinese, F-7 and JF-17, so the L-15 or the FTC-2000 seems like the choices we might go for.

Deliveries depends on how well we can mobilize. I don't think any would be faster than any when funds are available.

As at 2008, the cost of flying the F-15c was $17,000 per flight hour. The cost of flying the SU-30 is 2 times that of an F-15c, so that's $34,000 of 2008 dollars to fly an SU-30.

There is already an MOU/open contract on SU 34. We might get this aircrafts piecemeal starting 2020. Something will shift in WA when we get it.

I think yak130 will be better if we are to go for an AJet replacement.
the yak130 is a successor to he Su25,
so its better we go for yak130 which can later be upgraded to an attack/cas aircraft

well US will never sell F15 , F18 to nigeria , and dont forget that nigeria is a big oil productor so cost flying per hour will decrease if nigeria refine it's oil. so the cost between contract and maintenance will not be a lot different .

one thing important to not forget is the security of supply for its army and maintenance ,and geopilitic , added to the United States controls rules for its equipment and its important limitation on its use , nigerian army will not be free to use its jets if usa Is against this decision , the US can at any time cut off supplies under any circumstances (democracy , human right , a democratic nigerian pigeon killed by a reactor during take-off etc ... )

Nigeria for its strategic military contract for me, they should go for Russia or China only .

This is a verifiable figure, but a conservative estimate. I remember posting that of Uganda a while back. I'll search for it and post again.

Even at 23,000 an hour, the cost is still very high. In my opinion, this is why the SU-30 is not an option we might consider. That's the point I was trying to make to Tdayof all along.

fuel is almost 80% of the $23,000 cost,which also includes the pilot,technician wage e.t.c now not every country buys fuel at the same price as the US or pays it pilots,technician the same wages.the cost of fueling a car in UAE isn't the same as in nairobi
