Osemigho:Please lets close this discussion now ..... The affected guys know what to options are available to them and should be allowed to make independent choices.... You tried for them already!! I have shared patterns some victims took and that have worked in the recent past ..... About 2 guys have contacted me and i am willing to show them through... I have however stated clearly in my response to them that... While solicitors will put in their best words and submissions in trying to buy them a rare pardon, ... This is however NOT a guarantee since cic has the Ace and will decide after all!!! We only pray that God Will intervene.... and that we too should desist from unhealthy acts!!!.. Regards. |

Notification for those awaiting admission decision (Fall 2017) Disclaimer: The following observation has been verified only for 2 schools (Simon Fraser & Waterloo) and computer science program in particular. So please endeavour to make confirmation for your programme(s) and provide feedback. Some of you (particularly those following gradcafe) might have noticed a delay in admission decision this year for the fall term. I just checked the webpage of the programs I applied to and I noticed they have extend their deadline and this is the probable cause for the delayed admission processing this year. I don't know if this applies all schools/programs but it's true for both programs I applied to (both postponed to mid/end February) . So if you haven't looked at your prospective schools' website in recent time, you may want to double-check that. General admission decisions are unlikely to be made before the deadlines. PS I have no idea why the deadlines were postponed, but if I'm to essay a guess, might be because more people will consider Canada now Trump is president of USA and they want to give those people an opportunity to apply for the Fall term (?) Anyone with an idea is welcomed. 1 Like |

Gbengs007:I'm guessing you didn't check back with VFS after you were told it was still in transit. Apparently, they have sent your passport back to the embassy after it got to VFS and you didn't retrieve it. Did you get a mail or sms to pick up your package from VFS? If you didn't, you should go back to VFS and make further complains. They will give you advise on how to get back your package. Right now, you don't have to worry about medicals, your application has been reviewed and a final decison has been made. Try to get back your documents first. |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Austinpee4: 5:12pm On Feb 13, 2017 |
sheddybaba1:What is your previous course of study? (undergraduate degree) ,Do you have work experience in the oil and gas sector?.. Meanwhile, you may want to order for your GCMS file before you even think of reapplying to know why the Visa officer was not convienced about your intention in the previous application. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Eraytee: 5:35pm On Feb 13, 2017 |
sheddybaba1: Sorry for d delay, were u called for med? If yes, it's quite strange to me though y dey refused u after giving u a med call(dats if u were contacted by CIC). Ur previous education and employment history plays a big role in courses like this, am a pet. Geologist and I know from VO's angle they would like to see how related ur past/present work experience coupled with ur academic history is inline with proposed course of study. If u share ur profile I think the guru's can see from that view. |

ifydio:It is shocking... Yes... But obviously not new! We see different things all the time and it is not the first.. In most occasions where this happens.. It is usually about funds or purpose of visit. In any case, the best bet is your GCMS note.... So we can stop guessing. Best of luck |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Austinpee4: 7:34pm On Feb 13, 2017 |
sheddybaba1:Here is the thing, your undergraduate study is related to your proposed study, fine but your CURRENT employment MAY be bringing questions and doubt about your intentions of studying in the intended oil and gas field. I want to believe you've been the production engineer in the factory for a while now without any activity in the oil and gas (work, research, certifications, symposiums) since you left school. Now, a VO may likely feel your sudden interest for a higher degree in a field you are not presently having sufficient activities in is not genuine even though you have a related undergraduate degree. So questions will bother around -why isn't he going for a further degree in an area he is having progressive knowledge, skills and expertise in presently? . - If he truly wants a master in oil and gas, has he shown significant interest in this field overtime(since after undergraduate)? -Isn't he taking advantage of having a degree in chemical engineering to apply for a master in oil and gas just to go to canada even when his present interest and activities is clearly not in this field? This is where a statement of purpose (SOP) comes into play to precisely explain why you decided to pursue your present career as a production engineer in a cement factory as against a field(oil and gas) you now want a master degree in(since chem engineering is in line with your current job and your intended study). Your master degree is to gain further knowledge and skill in oil and gas but you haven't been involved in any major activity in this field since you got your degree so conviencing any VO will be on the knife edge but it is possible. They now have your profile and any additional information MUST add up to all you intially presented. Take your time to analyse in details why you think a master in oil and gas will be beneficiary to your career and how you intend to you use the master upon graduation and trust me, you would have sold your self to a VO and any possibility of an approval could spring up. Forget the travel history ticked, it's just to make reasons look ambiguous. Purpose of Visit is the main thing here. About the GCMS file, i actually don't knw which site is cheaper from this one here https://gcmsnotes.ca.. Hopefully the kind guys here will help you with more links to that.Try to get this file first before you re-apply so you can know the exact reasons your application was refused. All the best in your re-application. 1 Like |
