Being that life is so short and meaningless, why save all my hard-earned income - only to die in one random or unexpected way one day and forfeit all my sweat money to one useless banker or unduly fortunate next-of-kin? I go kuku chop the money well well. Trust me, life has too many sweet experiences, and i can't afford not to experience as much of it as I reasonably can.

That's what makes me hedonistic.

Saving is an act.. Not the money in your account...thriftiness is a virtue that you should nurtures very well..the more you save the more confidence you will be the healthier you will be come ...the money you save will one day come to save you ...for you to have financial freedom saving attitude is a must...

Now am grown ooooo, people I still find it difficult to spend my money ooo oooo. My hard earned salary.

I drive joy in saving, saving n saving. In fact I shop for myself twice in a year. Though when am buying, I buy quality wears.

If I spend my own money, I will be angry. What sort of stupid life is this.

Even if someone gives me money, I still use it carefully.

It's definitely a positive attribute to be disciplined with money, BUT there is a thin line between being frugal vs letting money become a master.

Do you work with a monthly budget? If you don't, my suggestion would be to create one and each month put aside money for your fixed expenses (transport, feeding etc), put aside a fixed amount for your savings, put a fixed amount aside for giving / helping others. Then whatever is left over, let that be completely YOURS in terms of spending to treat yourself or buy anything nice without feeling guilty because you know you've already put aside savings and giving and bills.

You don't like to spend your own money but I'm sure it is not the same when it comes to spending another person's money.

The attribute you are showing is not strange at all, as a matter of fact it is something that is lacking in western world these days. According to stat, annual household savings in most of these countries are below 5% of total income because almost everything is obtained on credit. Can you see that your saving habit is something many people will kill to have?
The only thing I think you need to work on is feeling bad when you spend your money. I believe a way to solve that problem is to change your outlook to life generally. You don't become rich by saving, you become rich by making the money you saved works for you.

With all of your Savings are you able to save 10 million yet? Please its a Good thing to save but please dont deny your self with Good things, get good cloths and shoes use good phone if u like it, dont try to save when ur phone is not working Good, and u will be thinking u can still manage it when u have the money to get another one, You have a very Good Gift. Try to save and use it have a plan for urself not just save money, get a Land start building a house or invest the money.I was once in your shoe but for me i have enough and i get myself things i need and expensive one. i get myself latest Phone and car. Come to think of it, if you have 1million by 2015 and at that time the Naira to dollar was 150 and you still keep that same money till today,and u think u are saving, that 1million naira has lost it value. what u can get with a million naira in 2015 u cant get it with 1.2 now. Please is a good thing to save, its more wise to save to invest it. and spend on yourself it very important. gbam. I use to be like that. Everyone is always borrowing money from me and they find it hard paying back. I work and don't get to enjoy the money. Not anymore. I only save blindly now when I have a particular project and a particular amount in mind.after that I loosen up and start spending money to make me happy. Life is too short Jareh.
