Of course, the players on the list are those who have already played for us and those who are also eligible to play for Nigeria.

I don't think Ademola-lookman and Felix Uduokhai have/will reject Nigeria if approached with seriousness. Until he says 'I will not play for Nigeria' let us still be optimistic about it.

So, you have seen Felix Uduokhai played. grin That's great.

Tell us about it.

Felix Uduokhai have already choose deutschland over Naija.

As for Ademola, His heart is with the english team. I think they should leave him alone and let him focus on his club, he shouldn't be forced to play for Nigeria, Nobi by force. We have pool of players who can play better than him in the same wing he plays. Is he better than Henry Oyhenkuru?

Does that not mean he won't be called for the AFCON qualifiers?

It depends, who are the other options? Ideye? Ighalo? Kayode?...

Rohr could invite him but if he is not playing at the time, there is no guarantee of game time. Musa Muhammad was called several even though he did not play the important games.

A lot of things can still happen before then. If some young strikers are in top form, the coach might be forced to drop Kelechi.

Vincent Enyeama - Lilie; If he recend his decision to play for Nigeria, he is for sure my first choice.

Carl Ikeme - Wolves; He is currently the first choice in the absence of Enyeama and he has never for once made us miss Enyeama for now. grin

Dele Alampasu - Feirenese(on loan)

Jonathan Ligali - Montpelier; He is eligible to play for Nigeria.

David Nwokolor - HNK Rijeka

you should have made your post concise.. it's hard to really keep track of your points. I will take it one by one based on where i read so far.

Firstly, Moses can operate from the LW, RW, LM and RM. that gives room for easy rearrangement formation-wise. I will rather give him the role he plays in Chelsea. that opens room for other players who are good enough to start.

Secondly, Success Isaac can operate anywhere in the forward position. I will play him 9, the role he played in the U17, specifically because there is lack of competition there and he can match any physical defender on the opposing side.

That leaves the wing positions open to Ademola Lookman (RW), Henry Onyekuru(LW), Ahmed Musa(RW) and Moses Simon(LW).

Support Striker (NO.cool is open to Kelechi Iheanacho, Aluko and Brown Ideye. My pick is Iheanacho and Aluko. the latter has done wonderfully when playing for Nigeira. Take note that he is left footed.

No.10 will Alex Iwobi. I think he is still developing. Going by his regular appearance for a top team like Arsenal, he can definitely start for SE -- depending on the style of our opponents of course. I know some will rather play Mikel in this role. That's also fine by me. in that case I will move Iwobi to one of the wings, and drop one of the four afforementioned players -- Onyekuru, just because he is not going anywhere, unlike Lookman that could be snatched by England anytime.

Left Midfield: Joel Obi, John Ogu

In defensive midfield we have lots of choices: Ndidi, Agu, Onazi, Agbo, Esiti, Igiebor,... I will settle with Ndidi and Agu to shake things up.

Defense: no comments.. lol

GK: Ikeme, Alampasu, Nwokolor

Gr8 list.
Tammy has been consistent this season-he deserves a call up. He has even score thesame number of goals Jude Ighalo score for an entire season during his stint at the championship.

I see these guys pushing the likes of Ighalo n Ideye out of the national team.

Good list. However, forget about Solanke, Tosin and MOST DEFINITELY Illori. These 3 are not interested in playing for naija. The likes of Aina, Tammy are 50/50 - 30/70....slight chance of us convincing them to play for us. I've heard good things about this Felix guy...my cousin in Germany says dude is talented and Germany will fight for him. This is where Rohr needs to do his thing.

Well, I heard Solanke wants to play for Nigeria. I don't know about Tosin but Ilori will not be dull enough to think he can get a chance with Portugal.

Felix is most difficult of all because with Germany you are guaranteed a laurel.

no doubt Joel Obi is a talent. Recurrent injuries has been his undoing. He just picked another one yesterday-he orchestrated Torino's third goal-dude is still sharp when fit.

I think you should make a more realistic list. There's no need building Castle in the sky involving names like Tosin Arabioyo, Thiago Ilorin and the other guy in Germany.
I think when compiling a list like this we should list those who are within reach and not some of those names.

For starters, I follow Thiago Ilorin on instagram and there's absolutely nothing to show his affinity to Nigeria.
He's all about #proudtobeportugesse on his posts and lots of solidarity to the selecao.

It's not worth it we hired mercenaries to play for us when we have talents in abundance who are willing to sweat blood and tears to defend the jersey. The Cameroun example is still fresh.

Gabriel Jesus’ third consecutive start is over after just 14 minutes after appearing to twist his foot and he hobbles off down the tunnel.

Sergio Aguero comes on

What other level do u expect him to be, he is a chelsea academy graduate playing in the championship. And speaking of scrappy goal, i prefer playing a striker that scores 20 scrappy goals than one that hasn't score in a goal in months. i

I have known Tammy (Tega) since he was 15. I will be more candid he is not ready for the Eagles, he has got more to learn. Irrespective of goals in the championship he has more to learn, his repertoire of technique is limited. At National level those gaps will be exposed.

I actually think Solanke is ahead of him as a striker particularly where national team is concerned.

My preference for right back amongst all current candidates is Aina at Chelsea.

Ademola looks good but has more to learn he is not better than Etebo in my opinion. And again Ademola may be in Everton does not necessarily make him an immediate candidate for Eagles.

I do think the experienced Sone Aluko has a lot to offer.

I'm kinda Happy with our recent FIFA rankings-it shows that we're progressing.

I was really suprised wit this month's own. I wasn't expecting such a leap. Though Sir. Icon4s n other elders have for seen t few days ago.

Thank God the Era of 1 step forward 30steps backward is gone...

Our leap in FIFA Ranking did not come as a surprise to me. U knw it covers a 4 year period meaning that for our current ranking, February 2013 to February 2017 was considered. Recall we won the AFCON in Feb 2013 so all our previous bad results from 2012 and beyond have been forgiven us and erased. grin

Hopefully we can only get better from here.

For those that had direct confrontations with them pls dnt feel hurt. It tells you what is going on outside this house. grin. I don't think it's realistic to forecast a team on "probabilities". Names such as Solanke, Udokhai, Aina, Ilori, Lookman etc are all probabilities. Until I read an interview or monitor events and see they have declared for Naija, I ain't even looking at these guys. It takes a lot to convince these guys to leave a FOREIGN safe haven to come play for CLUELESSLY run Naija football. It's not that our team is bad, it's just the way our football is run, makes any sane thinking person to wanna stay away. I believe we have other FULL Naija options. E.g. Onyekuru, Samuel Kalu, Aluko Bala and many more. The future is bright, but I'd likely not take the risk of includingredients dual eligible players until they willingly declare for us.
