Austinpee4:

Here is the thing, your undergraduate study is related to your proposed study, fine but your CURRENT employment MAY be bringing questions and doubt about your intentions of studying in the intended oil and gas field. I want to believe you've been the production engineer in the factory for a while now without any activity in the oil and gas (work, research, certifications, symposiums) since you left school.
Now, a VO may likely feel your sudden interest for a higher degree in a field you are not presently having sufficient activities in is not genuine even though you have a related undergraduate degree.

So questions will bother around
-why isn't he going for a further degree in an area he is having progressive knowledge, skills and expertise in presently?
.
- If he truly wants a master in oil and gas, has he shown significant interest in this field overtime(since after undergraduate)?

-Isn't he taking advantage of having a degree in chemical engineering to apply for a master in oil and gas just to go to canada even when his present interest and activities is clearly not in this field?

This is where a statement of purpose (SOP) comes into play to precisely explain why you decided to pursue your present career as a production engineer in a cement factory as against a field(oil and gas) you now want a master degree in(since chem engineering is in line with your current job and your intended study).
Your master degree is to gain further knowledge and skill in oil and gas but you haven't been involved in any major activity in this field since you got your degree so conviencing any VO will be on the knife edge but it is possible.
They now have your profile and any additional information MUST add up to all you intially presented. Take your time to analyse in details why you think a master in oil and gas will be beneficiary to your career and how you intend to you use the master upon graduation and trust me, you would have sold your self to a VO and any possibility of an approval could spring up. Forget the travel history ticked, it's just to make reasons look ambiguous. Purpose of Visit is the main thing here.

About the GCMS file, i actually don't knw which site is cheaper from this one here https://gcmsnotes.ca..
Hopefully the kind guys here will help you with more links to that.Try to get this file first before you re-apply so you can know the exact reasons your application was refused.

All the best in your re-application.
Ok. thanks bro for the breakdown so far, please if you have any sample SOP i cud use, it'll be highly appreciated. My email address is akhidenor.shadrack@gmail.com. Thanks

UBC aspirants (Earlier today I made the below quoted post)

For everyone waiting on UBC I want to inform you that some (if not all) of their programs have also extended their deadlines, but it's not updated on the departmental website yet.

You can verify through the following link if your program is affected: https://www.grad.ubc.ca/prospective-students/application-admission/application-deadlines

for example, the deadline for Comuter science has been shifted from December 15 2016 to February 19 2017

I want to upload a screenshot of their notice but I'm not certain how to upload images here.

Here is the quote from the UBC website:

In light of recent events, many programs are willing to extend their application deadlines. Please inquire with individual programs if late applications will be accepted.

I'm not certain yet what are the "recent events", but you can see my speculation on my previous post.

Megziflips:
Notification for those awaiting admission decision (Fall 2017)

Disclaimer:
The following observation has been verified only for 2 schools (Simon Fraser & Waterloo) and computer science program in particular. So please endeavour to make confirmation for your programme(s) and provide feedback.

Some of you (particularly those following gradcafe) might have noticed a delay in admission decision this year for the fall term.

I just checked the webpage of the programs I applied to and I noticed they have extend their deadline and this is the probable cause for the delayed admission processing this year. I don't know if this applies all schools/programs but it's true for both programs I applied to (both postponed to mid/end February) .

So if you haven't looked at your prospective schools' website in recent time, you may want to double-check that. General admission decisions are unlikely to be made before the deadlines.

PS
I have no idea why the deadlines were postponed, but if I'm to essay a guess, might be because more people will consider Canada now Trump is president of USA and they want to give those people an opportunity to apply for the Fall term (?)

Anyone with an idea is welcomed.

it does not mean the application has not been touched..Infact most times, it remains that way till a decision is made on the application. If you have done biometrics, do not worry, they will access it when they need from their computers without it reflecting on your page..

You have to share your profile first, ur proposed course of study, previous education/employment history and all necessary things that may help people figure out something about ur refusal reasons.

Hello. I think I have an idea of why u were refused the second time despite perfect course and related work experience. The major issue with your application is still insufficient fund. Try and pay a little of your fees to show commitment and express yourself well in your SOP. Once you are denied of insuffifient funds, it is advisable to pay little of your fees in your next application. NB: This is my own opinion which is based on a similar case I know about. Please disregard if you find better advise.

So many factors will likely work against you. You may be lucky to get admission, but visa will be extremely difficult (not ruling out GOD's possibility).
To start with, undergraduate will be a red flag considering your age, work experience and previous academic background.
What will be your reason(s) to the V.O of just thinking of an undergraduate course after married with two kids?
How do you intend to survive including your dependants when you're self-sponsor (I assume, since you're a family man unless you have a co-sponsor)?

2.is it wise to apply to a community college,,i have Nscc and. Memorial uni in mind

.
To give a candid advice, I will suggest you look up another country that is not as strict as Canada when it comes to student visa. Thanks.
