The home team had taken the lead in the fifth minute through Cameroon striker Kweuke, with Nosa Igiebor providing the assist for his goal.

It is worth mentioning that as many as four Nigerian players in the shape of Godfrey Oboabona, Bright Edomwonyi, Igiebor and Lawal started the game week 22 encounter.

Raheem Lawal and his teammates continue their domestic schedule when they square off with Emmanuel Emenike’s Fenerbahçe in the Cup on Thursday, March 2.

We have to keep future tourneys in mind when we are selecting players. This is not about giving players a chance who can help build a Solid Super Eagles that will stand the test of time.

This is about a player who can offer for a short period of time. When I talk of giving players chances, it is about promoting young players to prove that they are as good or better than the experienced players.

Ehn? U advocate Aluko and now u say its for young players, how old is Aluko? Look even Brazil will still invite guys as old as 35. If they are doing well in good clubs then they deserve a chance like anyone else.

First of, no club releases the full details of their player's contract. Details in contracts are confidential.
We only know from whistle blowers and third party websites about these details in players contracts.

You can check this link ; http://www.marca.com/en/football/international-football/2016/12/07/5848111122601d2c5f8b4635.html

The numbers on the internet are not real life. If u think Wenger will let Iwobi go for 25 million then good luck. Maybe if they were to only sell the part of him that plays on the wings but if we are talking Iwobi who can also play any midfield position then get ready to pass Sterling money. Don't forget he will always be British and they come at a premium.

Nigeria Hoping To Persuade Chelsea Whizkid Solanke Ahead Of WCQ Against Cameroon

Published: February 25, 2017

Nigeria Hoping To Persuade Chelsea Whizkid Solanke Ahead Of WCQ Against CameroonReading-born striker Dominic Solanke has played for the U16-U21 national teams of England but remains eligible to represent Nigeria through his father.

Despite his exploits for Chelsea’s youth team, he has not been able to break into the first team which has led to speculations he could leave Stamford Bridge in the summer, especially as he will be a free agent by then.

Chelsea’s rival Arsenal are said to be interested in signing the highly-rated teenager as well as Liverpool, Sunderland, West Ham and Bayern Munich.

NFF officials will be keenly monitoring the situation of the 19-year-old striker with a view to persuading him to switch his allegiance to Nigeria ahead of England.

The Super Eagles are odds on to qualify for the 2018 world cup after a strong start to the qualifying campaign. You can check all world cup betting odds via this link - https://oddsdigger.com/cheltenham-festival-2017/

The Super Eagles are currently top of their group having won their first two matches of the campaign.

Cameroon the Africa champions ( who are also Super Eagles’ next opponents ) have two points with only four more games left to play in the qualifying series.

Iwobi is addressed as Nigerian. Even when you listen to commentaries, he's addressed as Nigerian which fills me with pride.

Sentiments aside, Iwobi is yet to hit the heights Sterling touched at Liverpool.
Liverpool rode on the backs of Sterling and Suarez on their premiership race, which was jeopardised by the famous Gerrard slip.
Prior to that season, Sterling was worth far less than that. He would have left Liverpool for 12M in 2012 when he had a contract stand off.

Arsenal have about 3 players worth over the 50M mark in Koscielny, Ozil and Sanchez. Barcelona wanted Bellerin for 35~40M.

NPFL: MFMFC EDGES RANGERS 2-1 IN LAGOS

MFMFC striker Sikiru Olatunbosun, scored an early contender for the goal of the season on Friday night in Agege, as they defeated Rangers Intl 2 goals to 1 in an exciting ecounter in Lagos.
The striker opened the scoring in the 30th minute of the ecounter with a sweet volley off his left foot from just outside the box into the top right corner of the opposing goalkeeper.
A quick string of passes between MFMFC players sent the ball to Sikiru who lifted the ball over a Rangers defender with his left foot and then hit the ball with the same left foot beyond the rangers goalkeeper who was left with no chance at all, sending the home crowd into wild celebration.
Leading goal scorer in the NPFL, Stephen Odeh scored the second goal of the night on the hour mark to increase his tally to 6 goals this season, to give MFM a 2 nil lead.
Rangers pulled on back in the 80th minutes to raise hopes of a comeback but it was a little too late as the hosts held on to record a victory over the defending champions.
MFMFC moved into 2nd position on the table, four points behind leaders Plateau united with a game in hand while Ranger's remained 16th however with two outstanding matches.

Aluko is 28 years. Not in his thirties. We are looking at a team for the next World Cup and AFCON.
The way you conveniently twist your narratives is astounding. The next World Cup is next year, not four years.

So if all our best players are 32, we should drop them for teenagers because they are old.

What happened to let all of them come to camp and we choose the best?
