there is no excuse for neglecting a mother.even if she is a witch,take her to a place she can be delivered,women are always wicked to their mothers-in-law,i wonder why its only the husband's mother that is always a witch while the wive's mother is a saint.but what goes around will always comes around.by the way,how long does she have remain that they cant bear with her.

i read ur post and i felt pity for our eroding tradition,so u are suggesting that after raising children and they become successful,aging parents should decamp to centre for old people because the whites are doing so.this is AFRICA where FAMILY is EVERYTHING.

What are you saying so you will also prefer your wife over your own mother hahah I don't know why guys are always like this towards their own parents when it comes to marriage and you guys will be so dumb that your wife parents(in-law) will now become your God giving them all they need but you abandoned your own mother that brought you up because you believe she's now a burden to your wife and children.

I have seen many men like this when it comes to family you choose your in-law over your own parents. I am a lady and let me tell you the truth 70% of ladies out there prefer their own parents than you and that is the reason why guy like you will abandoned their own parents for their in-law.

No matter d excuses.Is good for one to take care of her parents.A woman that carry them in her womb for 9mths.That 9mths is like years.From the first day a woman conceived, her body does not belong to her until she give birth to the child.If their mother dies in this situations will they ever forgive themselves?.They should remember they will also get old someday and their children may also do same thing to them.Whatsoever one sow in life,he will either reap it or d children will reap it.

Thry say madness cannot catch many people at the same time. If there's no fire, there cannot be a smoke. A man running inside brambles and thorns, is definitely pursuing something or something is chasing him. All of the children cannot be bad at same time. Her lawyer son has spoken his side of the story; and i'm sure other children will have similar stories to tell. . The common denominator here is the mama who, most likely will be the problem. The son has said it all - settle her in old people's home since she quarrels regularly with her daughters-in-law. Better still, resettle her with her people in the village and employ a care-giver for her. Let's hope she will not scare her (caregiver ) away with her fighting. I have a father like that too. You won't know the havoc this type of old people can wreck unless you experience it. If you don't want wahala to kill you, it's better you help them from a distance.
However, if it's true she was driven out from her own place by her son (I doubt the veracity of the story), the man is accursed.

To those of you cursing the children, maybe we should pray that God should let you experience people like this in your families, for your education.

may God bless you for this. she was not troublesome when she was raising them, she's now troublesome when they are supposed make her happy everytime till she passes on. karma is sleeping jejely and they( the children) is waking it up. even if she's a witch, na their mouth that one suppose come out. Try to listen to both parties before judging, it might be the first helped her and died, the second helped her also and died, same goes to the 3rd,4th and 5th,if na you be the 6th, Wetin u go do? Everybody dey form bust now, come to think of it, the remaining 5 children no go fit just plan to no help at all, one at of all must av a soft spot for her, there must be something fishy, women can make you sorry for them even wen they are bad, let hear from the children 1st, it is well.

In family relationships there is the ideal and also the far from ideal. There is no smoke without fire. She's 85 now. What kind of a person was she in her prime? A good wife, a loving mother or not. I've known a couple of DIFFICULT mothers. In one case this mum was living with her own daughter who had 2 children. It was constant battle. She always wanted to blackmail her daughter by shouting and threatening to curse her. After some years, the daughter's uncle told her to move back to her own home and not to stress his niece.That the fact that you bore her doesn't mean you should kill her. Mama moved in with her grandson, quarrelled with his wife and moved out to a relation's place. When they quarrelled, she finally moved to her house and died alone in the house about two years later. Lagos state has old people's homes and the sons should arrange to have her admitted to one if she's too much for them to handle.
