I submitted my docs for Canadian study permit on the 9th of January, I am sponsoring my self, paid half of the tuition 7500 can usd, applied for supply chain @ fanshawe college for a one yr course(Graduate certificate program), studied economics (bsc) and graduated 2004, did nysc d following year and since then I have worked in 3 financial institution. Submitted my statement of acct (9m) ..my home tie is my wife and daughter in Niger, included my pensions statement showing almost 5m with stanbic pensions and submitted every other forms for application (paper route) to my surprise I tracked it on d 22nd of february and I was told my passport has been processed and returned back to where I applied.my friend(agent) that assisted me package everything said it's a bad sign, that I'm suppose to get a mail for medical first. I got a letter of introduction from my office, notarized my documents. i didn't do medicals upfront.

I picked my passport today,02/03/2017 and I was denied study visa ,reasons are below

1-YOUR PROPOSED STUDIES ARE NOT REASONABLE IN LIGHT OF ONE OR MORE OF:YOUR QUALIFICATION,PREVIOUS STUDIES,EMPLOYMENT,LEVEL OF ESTABLISHMENT,YOUR FUTURE PROSPECTS AND PLANS.
2-YOU HAVE NOT SATISFIED ME THAT YOU WOULD LEAVE CANADA AT THE END OF YOUR STAY,PURPOSE OF VISIT.

so please what do I do, intend reapplying thru online method
I intend doing upfront medicals
I finished with a 2.2 in economics if not would have applied for masters direct, I hope I have given enuf info for you guys to advise me on how best I can package my next application....

Copy accraimmigration@international.gc.ca as well. You should explain in details the circumstance surrounding the refusal. Apply to withdraw your application in order to effect necessary correction. It is a good thing they didn't find out on their own. Demonstrate bona fide intentions by applying to unequivocally withdraw your application.

Mind you I questioned ''what's the name of the intended program in particular not PGC(D)'' as I had already seen somewhere he re-posted that he opted for PGC program.furthermore I never went against his option for PGC. However, he applied with a pgc program which does not correlate with his background and the VO heavily talked down on that and you expect me to encourage fruitless mission? Mind you in canada,you can't see any Pgc program fully related not partially to ECONOMICS and even BANKING if i am right except in masters level. I don't talk insensible on this thread,I will say it again it is either he goes for masters program if possible,or choose another country or he continues reapplying with that program/even with supply-chain management he is suggesting for,10pages of SOP wouldn't salvage the situation and still he would be getting that same refusal reasons.

Sincerely I don't know the correlation that exist between your UG course (economics ) and supply chain management. I think supply chain management will best fit for B.Sc holders of Marketing. the truth is that choosing a post-graduate course esp in canada does not have to do with your UG course of study 100%. Use your job description (in the financial institutions you've worked for several years) and compare the job description with a course that has a similar job description and apply to it. That solves it all.
Even in Skill migration section, if you study Engineering and you've worked in a bank for 3years+, your bank experience automatically overshadow that of your Engineering certificate. They accept you with your experience and not your academic qualification. Except if your academic qualification is in-line with your work experience.

please don't make any mark on the SOA to avoid unnecessary suspicion. That may amount to alteration. The VO has the duty of going through your soa diligently. Rather use LOE to explain your income. All the best

bro i still don't believe in job description for study permit if only the program would first speak for itself by having clear correlation with one's background. I still feel that Canadian embassies have installed programs that investigate this correlation of a thing and the VOs then apply discretion on your intent of such study.supply chain does not relate to economics,business administration does not relate to economics/banking in pgc program except the individual would go for MBA.

Great. You may still have issues if you are not the SOLE signatory to the company acccount. However, If you are and with a good reason why you intend using funds supposedly meant for the company development to fund your studies while also explaining how the company will generate additional funds for itself once significant amount is removed for your study, it could fly.

I think it's better you use a well built personal account than company's or use a sponsor. The company documents can serve as home ties for you.

I had to just pay another application fee and reapply since i was told by the school that i am only allowed to defer once. I have to submit a new acceptance letter to cic before 24th March 2017. I am the SOLE signatory to the Acc, I have my personal account with reasonable inflow and USD Acc too.

My main issue presently is age, my passport carries 1983 as my Bd but am not upto that,
Pls can you advice me what to do should I go and swear an affidavit that my age is 1987.
The mistake was as result of lost BD certificate and mum not knowing the exact date.
Pls advice me
