Hello everyone, please I need urgent clarification on this.

If I request for ECA on 2 degrees, will the report be prepared, issued and uploaded by IQAS or WES on EE / sent to IRCC:
(1) only after the two assessments are completed, meaning either degree can delay the other, OR
(2) issued as they are completed irrespective of time?

I am asking because I am in a fix:
I had my BSc in Nigeria and MSc in UK. I would have preferred to have both ECAs for future use by prospective employers and professional bodies in Canada. I understand with the ECA for MSc only, can get the required points, but I am also thinking of the double cost if I process the MSc now and then BSc much later. I am particularly in a hurry to get into the EE pool, so don't want any delays.

Thanks in advance guys!

I would advise you to get your ECA for your masters and enter the pool before CRS Cut-off increases.

The ERA that you will pay for is for immigration purposes; when you get to Canada, your prospective employer will conduct their own background check...so please take it one step at a time...

Cheers!

Your evaluation will only be termed complete when your BSc result is sent from Nigeria i.e. if you decide to evaluate the two.

Hello Everyone,

I'm really new here about just about to start the process. I have a M.sc, NOC A, 5 years experience, 30yrs, single,
From the CIC site, I understand that to apply I'd have to follow these processes: is this the right order?

1. Write IELTS
2. Send certificates/transcript for ECA
3. Do LMIA
4. Apply to be entered into pool

Where should I start from?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by JESUnifemi4eva: 2:28pm On Mar 08, 2017
Hi Joesgirl,

1) it's best to apply for ECA and write IELTS concurrently (you don't have to wait for your IELTS RESULT before starting the ECA process).

2) You don't require LMIA....you are still young and have a Masters degree, if your IELTS result is really good, it will help get a CRS score that ought to help you get an ITA directly. (use the CRS calculator to give you a rough idea of your CRS score and compare it to recent cut-off marks, I believe the last one was 434)

3) Apply to enter the pool.

Shikena!

Application has begun yet some of these concerns doesn't seem to have been addressed properly. Like 40Man rightly raised above.

Actually performing the real application I think will reveal most of the 'not so clear' requirements to qualify for the scheme.

Okay!!

And by the way check back the posts you will see the reply someone got from the provinces by email.

It concludes that they are not really after outlanders at the moment. They said employers will be after locals at the moment which is reasonable.

The best bet like someone else here suggested is to find out those employers on linkedin and then try to to build a relationship with them. And of course that's with a good cv and experience.

NOI yet. I don't think anyone has announced receiving it in the last one week on this forum.

@all: Ideas anyone? Have they met their quota for 2017?

Any useful information would be appreciated.

There's no news on their website about a break or quota reached...

Maybe a glitch in the system or an intentional pause.

Hello peeps. Just to reconfirm. I am using WES for my ECA for 2 degrees in the same school. Below are my questions:
1. Can both degrees transcript be in a single envelope rather than individual envelopes.? Would WES accept this?
2. Is the photocopy of my certificates the only documents that I would send to WES while the school send the transcript?

Hi guys, please I would like to find out if an accompanying spouse's NOC matters? Is it expected to also fall under 0, A or B especially if the person intends to work in Canada. By the way, it looks like the gurus have gone silent here. Pls we still need you guys.

If you're claiming points for it, then it matters if not it doesn't.

1. Don't know abt this but I'm thinking it shd be fine with WES. Gurus help out on this.

2. Yea, better still print out a coloured scanned copy and send to them. If you have someone in the abroad (US, UK etc), you can scan it and email to them. They can print out and send to WES for u, a lot cheaper.

. Wow!! I thought what was relevant would be the IELTS and the ECA? Please could you throw more light on this because as the accompanying spouse, I ddnt bother with the whole reference letter thing. I assumed it was just for my husband who is the principal applicant.

It ain't relevant, only your hubby's NOC is important.

But if you claimed points for your work experience meaning if it added to your score, it matters. In claiming 3 years work experience, if your own work experience was added to make up the 3 years or more then your NOC matters.

When submitting your application, your IELTS must still be valid. That's all. If you submit on Monday, your ielts can expire on Tuesday, doesn't matter as long as it was still valid when you submitted.

Oh nice!! I am about doing same. I submitted app on March 2nd. I plan to get married by first week of April and wanna know how you informed CIC. Was it by CSE link? I hear that it takes up to a month before they reply that link, I don't know how true.

I guess when you say request letter, you mean you wrote a letter just like LOE to address your marital status right??

And again, how long did it take before they replied you!!

Lastly, did ur wife do all dem medicals and pcc after the wedding or before?

I just wanna be practive with the process and will be glad to hear from you in detail if you can.

Godbless.
ok.
I raised a CSE to inform IRCC of change of marital status on Feb. 11, i didn't get any reply after 10 business days. So on March 1st, i sent the same details to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca, less than 2 hours after i had sent the mail, i got a mail to check my cic account. In my cic account was a letter sent by ircc asking me to update my spouse medical, pcc and passport (cic request letter). 3 new placeholders were also added on my cic account.

I am a bit confused which of the 2 actions(cse on feb. 11 or mail to cpc on mar. 1) made me get the response on March 1.

A day after the request letter from cic, My wife conducted her medicals and received her PCC on March 2. On March 3, i upoaded all the 3 requirements.

A link was sent where i could pay for her application fee, so i paid on March 4. March 6 , My medicals changed to pass

March 7. Further documents requested by IRCC for: (1)Schedule A -Background/declaration for my nysc period (i guess this was because i filled my nysc under personal history as government) . I would advise others yet to submit e APR to fill nysc as employment under personal history.
(2) schedule A for my wife. (3) travel history for my wife

March 8 - I filled and sent all d stuffs requested.
I hope this will help you

Good luck! Let me know after you get the offer and when you start planning to come.

I just got the offer for the program. TRV ON MY Mind now.
But boss I am a bit sceptical, hope the VO wont raise a flag since I already have an msc (petroleum geosciences) before. Seriously I am looking beyond the petroleum industry to apply my geology knowledge. the program is also interdisciplinary remote sensing and big data are my key focus. if I head back I would be looking at remote sensing in exploration or the use of data science in petroleum data management. all my active work experience has been into analysing and acquisition of different oil and gas data types, now as companies look to cut cost they will be focused more on managing data and getting more from data. aside petroleum I will also look at environment and other related areas to geology where geomatics can be applied. this are things I will mention in my sop.
Are you currently in New Brunswick?

Congratulations Boss! Don't be skeptical. You can write a very good LOE telling the VO the need for taking the program and it won't be a problem.

Did you apply for M.Eng or MSc Eng? Yeah! I am currently in UNB.
M.eng. didn't both to apply for MSc Eng since I don't have geomatics background but the graduate coordinator told me I can move if I want to.
