Igbouwanile: Compare to their counterpart in Ontario, yes, they are very cheap. uvic research is like 8k per year for international students. However, I read that living expenses are high in BC when compared to Ontario. Cant see anything from you on in my lnbox. By the way, we have been exchanging email before now. just reply previous one. |

The house has been hot today! My advice , we all are from different backgrounds and are not expected to react to situation s the same, we should learn to tolerate and respect ourselves and others. At times we turn to understand the behaviours of those around and let go not bc they are right but for the good and continuity of the thread. Avoid open confrontations, delay is not denial. Congats to those successful and courage to those delayed and hurt. 1 Like |

feguson123:Hmmm.. Both your undergrad and work experience(believing it's in mech too) appears to be in line progressively but where you may have a tall task conviencing the VO will be the rationale behind a choice of a DIPLOMA instead of a MASTERS. Questions will bother around 1.why a diploma after 4years of study and 3 years of work experience? 2.Will this diploma add and make this applicant competitive enough upon completion? 3. Does he intend to truly use a diploma to conquer and see all the advancements he desires in his career or does he just want to use it as a means to leave nigeria? These are but a few questions i feel may raise concerns about a choice of a diploma rather than a master which should be a best and natural pick for both academic and career advancement. However, not everybody need a master degree to add to his/her career and this also will be dependent on the technicality and nature of the applicant's profession since most pgc/pgd are designed to meet work place demands. largely, it will be up to you to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the diploma you intend pursuing is best for you at this time. You will also do a good job by elaborating and emphasing on the gains you will have with it should your study permit be approved. So depending on how you point all these out, you could stand a chance. Nothin is impossible but the issue is always how to make each application outrightly portray the purpose it is seeking a permit for, TO STUDY! 1 Like |

Please House, Is it entirely possible for someone to be denied study permit on an account of having no previous travel records or history? |

Hello House , I have really learnt alot from you guys here. I am a graduate of industrial chemistry, worked with a manufacturing firm for almost a yr and wish to study a diploma course in process control/power engineering cause I feel it will give me a foundation knowledge when i do master in an engineering course in the near future. Do you guys think I will have difficulty getting a study permit? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Austinpee4: 12:03am On Mar 10, 2017 |
Uzee24:Not just for not having a travel history. If you previously contravened the conditions on a previous issued visa eg, overstayed a visa, It can be a single reason for refusal on grounds of travel history. Otherwise, it usually will come with other reasons. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by goodnews1111: 12:06am On Mar 10, 2017 |
Uzee24:yes but not solely on travel history. It comes with insufficient funds or misrepresentation. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Uzee24: 12:39am On Mar 10, 2017 |
Austinpee4: Thanks for the response...I was actually wondering if that is possible. I was told that somebody was refused because his passport had no travel history. It sounded impossible to me cause at some point one will not have a history and it takes travelling to have that. |

Greetings everyone. I saw yesterday dat a lot went down here.i just want to state some things I observe in my application dat works and it can help others too. 1. My undergraduate studies was in Production engineering(Industrial and manufacturing), during my nysc....I worked as a physics, maths and basic tech teacher in both private and govt school in ogbomoso, oyo state. after that I got my first job also in a school...Hopebay college in mazamaza lagos as Physics and Basic Technology teacher for like 4months...I processed to a Graduate Teacher Training Prog, for 3month where I was opportuned to start learning Lego Robotics from d scratch..... while on the training, I got a job with LM Ericsson as Front office Engineer...I worked for like 4months doing that job and the teacher training simultaneously until I got a full offer to work in that international school as 1. Design and Technology teacher. 2. Auto-mechanics teacher and as a STEM(science technology engineering and maths) instructors from 2014 till date. The above statement was used like that in my SOP to explain to the VO how my UG,work experience are related to what am going for in canada. I also emphasise on my SOP my Research interest....not just stating that am going for Msc in Mechanical eng. I told VO on the SOP that my research interest is Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics....mind you all the documents I have relating to robotics and some of my lesson plans on design and tech was also submitted as documents to the embassy. All dis matters a lot when applying for TRV. 2. There was a form I filled during my medicals at consultant pratice that stated you fill your Name, marital status, Job title, email, phone no and signature.....I was told by the doctor maybe mistakenly that they also submit a copy of that form to CIC. now on that form you have to be sincere with the info you filled so that it correlate with what you have filled in the IMM1294E form....am not sure thou jut my opinion. 3. I can't remember anything now but if I recall some tips that I fill really helps I will post. But please my people if your sponsor has dependants and he or she wanna sponsor you to canada....mehn I will say you need to think deep and make sure you do your maths well especially when the sponsor is not father or mother. Thanks my people, hope dis will help just any one person. Goodmorning. 5 Likes |

It was somehow painful to me that i didn't get to see strategies on how to package my application especially when i saw the well- detailed application submitted by members on here with the way landed properties were also used as home-ties and all...... I remember seeing this particular post which says '".. A thousand SoP will never be able to drive any relationship between Economics and Human Resources Mgt. I've sounded this severally.... be careful about your choice of programs!!!... These things may only work in places like UK but not Canada!!!.... Guys, choose rightly plsssssss!!!!!" I am here to tell my story that the battle is not for the strong neither is the race for the swift but for the Lord that showeth mercy. Using this to encourage someone on here that your case is different, and you can break protocols if you believe. I give God all the glory.[/quote] 3 Likes |
